This study aims to encourage the organization of entrepreneurship and the popular knowledge dissemination about farming, production process and marketing of herb-bases remedies to qualify that product chain to purpose a health touristic product with local and regional identity. To stimulate the sustainable development of touristic activity to discuss the intersection between sustainable tourist concepts and local development based on ethnopharmacy and the Erva Vida woman ́s Group experience. This can permit the best comprehension of the territories and the new ways to respond the globalization process and environmental issues. So, directive interviews were performed to know social and economic profile of Woman ́s “Erva Vida” Group, its production activity and factors that contribute or limit that production and marketing of herb-bases remedies. On the other hand, interviews were conducted with Marapanim visitors to verify them socioeconomic, professional profile and opinion related to the touristic and cultural importance of herb-based remedies. Those interviews show the value popular knowledge for identity of that group, for territory local action and visitors. From those results we purpose an association business plan to Erva Vida woman ́s Group taking advantage of the Marapanim visitors ́ proposal and extern environment opportunities identified in this work as federal and state public policies that can favor management action, the legalization and promotion of the production and commercialization of herb-bases remedies.
