    The research presents district continuing education, with teachers from the Tocantina Amazon, in the city of Cametá-PA, with guiding principles of cultural knowledge for the education of riverine teachers. The research poses the following question: What ethno-knowledge can be developed/addressed in the district-level continuing education of riverine teachers for teaching that is contextualized in local roots? It is justified by the need to associate the openings and “gaps” present in the initial and continuing training of science teachers and other areas of knowledge in these localities. The motivation for the research is the production of an educational product aimed at district continuing education with guiding principles of cultural knowledge for the training of riverine teachers. The aim of the research is to carry out district-level continuing education in the area of natural sciences, in accordance with the proposed curriculum of the municipality of Cametá-PA, giving teachers the chance to enhance their insertion in the daily life of schools and in the cultural heritage of riverside dwellers in order to encourage and promote the construction of knowledge linked to culture. As a backdrop to the demands for complementary foundations, models and concepts, we link interdisciplinarity, interculturality and ethnosaberes. As a research methodology, I use narrative research, which makes it possible to look back over my personal and professional life, listing the ways in which I have been able to develop my knowledge.
