Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O avesso das expectativas: exploração dos recursos naturais e exclusão em Moatize, Província de Tete, Moçambique (2000 a 2015)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-05-31) MATEUS, Estone Bento Mifolo; BEZARRE NETO, José Maia; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7000143949499821The advancement of modern capitalism imposes new ways of facing the global and competitive Market, resulting from the growth of the industry, which demands raw material incessantly to feed this industry in a continuous line of progress. On the path of this unbridled race for the acquisition of raw material, the African continent becomes once again, the stage on which the games of capitalism interests take place, usually accompanied by a noisy silence and the apathy that has characterized African government, from the point of view of supervision and lag of collective interests, Africa has been the preferred place. In this context, Mozambique did not escape the rule, because of the existing coal deposits in the coal basin of Moatize; there is a growing flow of large companies interested in the exploitation of mineral coal. Faced with this meeting between two completely different realities, on the one hand the multinationals with extensive experience in the exploitation of resources and, on the other a technical and, a State, whose institutions are weak and without a technical capacity necessary to supervise enterprises of such magnitude, allied to a population without experience in these situation, resulting in a clash of very different realities. The companies taking advantage of the weaknesses presented, exempt themselves from corporate social responsibility, on the other hand, the new rich equip the State for personal or group benefits, installing a permanent conflict between the local populations claiming their legitimate rights and the extractive companies eager for profits, applying for the effect “Machiavellian” principles, in which the ends justify the means. This process results in exclusion in its various typologies, from environmental exclusion, social and economic exclusion. The marked level of social exclusion refers to the thought that the project may not be socially fair or environmentally sustainable, because the Mozambican political economy is essentially extractive and generating exclusion.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Estresse e expectativa de futuro na adolescência(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-09-02) FLORÊNCIO, Cybelle Bezerra Sousa; SILVA, Simone Souza da Costa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9044423720257634Adolescence is a very important period in human development and due to their vulnerability, there may be events that trigger stress and influence the future expectations of young people. This study aimed to verify the stress, hopelessness and future expectations and the relationship of these variables with each other, in a sample of 295 students, high school students of a private confessional school system. The results indicated that stress interferes with the teenager's future expectations and adolescent hopelessness levels. However, most teens had low levels of stress and hopelessness. It concludes that despite the common vulnerability to the period of adolescence, it is possible to experience this phase healthily.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Expectativas de jovens que vivem em assentamento: um estudo sobre a tríade trabalho-educação-família(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2006-09-05) OLIVEIRA, Rosa de Souza; SOUZA, Orlando Nobre Bezerra de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8567141884452588The present study tried to understand the young expectations that live in the establishment Luiz Lopes Sobrinho, located in the Municipal District of San Francisco of Pará. It is a research characterized as quantitative and qualitative, once the data had statistical and interpretative treatment with base in the content analysis. The Stratified Random Probability Method was used for the selection of the sample. The instruments of collection of data were the following ones: the direct observation and the interview through form and of itinerary. The corpus of the research was constituted in the speech of thirty young of the gender masculine or feminine, in the age group from 15 to 24 years and that they belong an origin family or of reproduction. The conclusive approaches revealed that the youth production of that establishment, in general, nurtures expectations of exercising activities different from the farming, with the purpose of improving their life condition; it wants to transmit values and social rules, aiming at to give continuity to the you know acquired in the origin family; it hopes to get a work/employment/professional formation, looking for a sense the own existence, as well as wants to constitute family, to have a companion and children with the purpose of reproducing the model of effective family. Those hopes, in its group, moderate for the sphere of politics that make possible rural development.
