This man's form of representation and how it converges to issues that go beyond the aesthetic formalism and embrace the way we affirm in the world It is argued under the field of visuality.This paper discuss beyond the world of visual poetry, to understand how is the everyday appropriation of the portrait picture. From the perspective of the photography, it is understood that since the advent of this technique of production of images, the way we see the world has profound changed. The theoretical bases reside in the reflections of Walter Benjamin, Roland Barthes, Susan Sontag and Annateresa Fabris, and other authors that help in specific issues of this work. The research methodology is guided in qualitative research and the phenomenological approach aided by theoretical study (bibliographic and documentary) and the visual reading (semiotics) of the images of this research, particularly the images of Pará State artists Alexander Sequeira, Claudia Leão and Mariano Klautau Filho.
