Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A educação escolar hospitalar: práticas pedagógicas docentes com crianças em tratamento oncológico no Hospital Ophir Loyola em Belém-PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-02-13) SALDANHA, Gilda Maria Maia Martins; SIMÕES, Regina Maria Rovigati; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7770158896621784This study aims to investigate the pedagogical practices with children under cancer treatment at Ophir Loyola Hospital (OLH) Belém, Pará. The research strategy was chosen to be the descriptive case study that was conducted by structured interviews with six teachers who work with children in treatment at the mentioned hospital. The study, in its theoretical reference sought to analyze the child under oncological treatment and the school education at hospitals: its historical, legitimacy, didactic and curricular aspects. The collected data was analyzed by these topics: dynamics of work in the hospital school of the OLH; teaching practices with child in oncological Treatment in OLH; teaching practices and its tribulations in OLH and initial and continued training of the hospital school teacher of the OLH. After examining these categories it was concluded the school educations of OLH developed a systematic knowledge, duly planned and adapted to the children necessities in oncological treatment. The pedagogical actions are taking places at multiple spaces depending on the possibilities and necessities of students. About the teachers difficulties in their activities and at the whole learning process, they pointed: the time the children remains at hospital; their emotional and physical condition, the difficulty of memorization and attention of children under influence of drugs, the stoppages in the teaching for several clinical procedures, the lack of teaching tools and the lack of time for the teachers to plan their activities. It also proved, at this work, the needing for further studies on the care of the emotional health of teachers. Furthermore, it was noted that in the academic education of the teachers none had any specific training for work in unconventional environment for education although they continues to improve their education in order to supply the hospital demand in this area. Additionally, this very work may serve as a benchmark for teacher training and studies in the area of education and health as well as a solid base of public policies that will bring benefits for the school education at hospital environment.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Helicobacter pylori infection in patients with different gastrointestinal diseases from northern brazil(Instituto Brasileiro de Estudos e Pesquisas de Gastroenterologia e Outras Especialidades, 2015-12) VINAGRE, Igor Dias Ferreira; QUEIROZ, André Lima de; SILVA JÚNIOR, Mário Ribeiro da; VINAGRE, Ruth Maria Dias Ferreira; MARTINS, Luisa CaricioBackground - The mechanisms whereby Helicobacter pylori produces different pathological manifestations in the stomach and duodenum are not fully understood. Considering the geographic diversity in the prevalence of virulence factors of this microorganism and their association with the development of different diseases, the search for pathogenicity markers such as CagA and VacA alleles by molecular techniques has intensified. Objectives - To investigate the presence of H. pylori infection and the frequency of different genotypes of this bacterium in patients with gastrointestinal diseases from Northern Brazil, and to establish their association with the histopathological findings. Methods - In a prospective study, samples were collected from 554 patients with different gastrointestinal diseases (gastritis, duodenal ulcer, gastric ulcer, and gastric cancer) seen at a referral hospital attending the entire State of Pará, located in the metropolitan region of Belém. Data such as gender and age obtained with an epidemiological questionnaire were analyzed. The presence of H. pylori and the bacterial genotype were investigated by PCR. Gastric biopsies were assessed histologically. Results - The prevalence of H. pylori infection was 91%. Infection was more frequent among patients with gastric ulcer and gastric cancer. In these groups, there was a predominance of men and older patients when compared to the other two groups studied. The predominant bacterial genotype was s1m1cagA+, which was more frequent among patients with gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer and gastric cancer. A significant association was observed between s1m1cagA+ strains and a higher degree of inflammation, neutrophil activity and development of intestinal metaplasia. Conclusion - The present study demonstrates a high incidence of H. pylori infection in the patients analyzed, especially among those with gastric ulcer and gastric cancer. Virulent s1m- 1cagA+ strains predominated and were associated with more severe lesions.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O Papel da ouvidoria em hospital público: um estudo a partir das manifestações dos usuários do Hospital “Ophir Loyola”(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-12-29) PEREIRA, Elizabeth do Socorro Pantoja; FARIAS FILHO, Milton Cordeiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0624491756992741; NASCIMENTO, Durbens Martins; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4086120226722277This dissertation deals with the role of Ombudsman in Ophir Loyola Hospital from the information contained in the manifestations of service users. This is a retrospective study conducted between the years 2008 to 2010, exploratory and descriptive, based on analysis of documents from the service. It aims at analyzing the extent to which the Ombudsman has fulfilled his duties as the manifestations of HOL users. It also aims to identify the main expressions of dissatisfaction by the users of the Ombudsman pointed out that undermine the dynamics of care, and also see how the HOL‟s management answers to the manifestations of users of the ombudsman, to individually and collectively meet their needs. The instrument used was a script from data collection, inspired by a model developed by Falcão (2010) in similar research in the following composition: effects related to the sphere of hospital management and manifestations related to the sphere of management of the Unified Health System ( SUS). Within the scope of hospital management, the manifestations were distributed as follows: complaint, request information, praise and suggestions for each of the axes of composition. In the sphere of SUS management were adopted only: the complaint, the request and information, because it did not have events in other categories. The selected sample was 398 records of the ombudsman service. However, during the research identified that generated a record rally in two levels of management, hospital and SUS, which resulted in an increase of 46 occurrences, rising to 444, 81% of these includes the sphere of hospital management and only 19 %, the SUS management. As to results, the study found that 50% of the manifestations were not answered in his cause, of which 8% are related to unanswered and 42% refers to the responses unsatisfactory, however, this finding calls attention to the fact ombudsman to respond, even if the election does not reach as desired, especially when it relates to the SUS management, by the interference of the management in the process. Regarding the remaining 50%, equivalent to 188 satisfactory responses of the election, 94% of these solutions include individual and only 6% (11 events), reached the community, and only two of these caused change in order management. Thus, it is concluded that the ombudsman's HOL failed to meet its institutional responsibilities due to the behavior of management face to the information generated of the ombudsman service show up on time, with individual resolutions and not facing the community in order to realign obstacles hindering the development of healthcare, marked by the user and promote learning. In this sense, the general objective of analyzing the extent to which the Ombudsman has fulfilled his duties as the manifestations of HOL users has been reached.
