Method: Cross-sectional population-based study based on data from the Informatics Department of the Unified Health System (DATASUS) and the Hospital Information System of the Unified Health System (SIH / SUS). Therefore, the data were collected in a secondary database. Data were extracted from the SUS Information System - DATASUS, and correspond to information referring to Hospital Admissions Authorizations - AIH, of elderly hospitalized for falls in the period from 2009 to 2018 in Brazil. Data analysis used resources from descriptive and inferential statistics. Terra View® programs were used for spatial analysis and Join point® for trend analysis. Results: Over the ten years studied, the trend of hospitalizations for the elderly as a result of falls has grown significantly by 1.2% per year in Brazil. Among the regions, this behavior was variable, with periods of growth and stationary, with significant hospitalization among all age groups of elderly people above 75 years old, and among women, also observing different patterns between each state. The spatial analysis showed a Moran Global index of 0.39 (p = 0.02) in the period from 2009 to 2013, showing the existence of spatial autocorrelation, with a grouping of three states with low-low pattern, Pará, Amazonas and Amapá. Conclusion: Brazil is heading towards a new population configuration with an increase in the elderly population. The need to improve the structure of health care networks is urgent in all regions of the country in order to provide quick and effective care to the elderly victims of falls.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Compreensão das vivências de psicólogas sobre o trabalho no hospital durante a Covid-19(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-12-07) LIMA, Natasha Cabral Ferraz de; PIMENTEL, Adelma do Socorro Gonçalves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4534230240595626The research focuses on understanding the experiences of Psychologists who worked in a hospital in Belém/Pará, the capital located in the Northern Region of Brazil, during the Covid-19 pandemic which, specifically, had significant repercussions on the lives of those who experienced it. As in all social sectors, psychological action during the pandemic period found it necessary to adjust its practice to the emerging challenges posed by Covid-19. With the aim of carrying out a study on the perceptions of psychology professionals who worked in the hospital area during the Covid-19 pandemic, this dissertation is a qualitative study based on existential phenomenological theory. The data analysis method comes from Amedeo Giorgi's perspective. The study was approved by the UFPA Ethics Committee. The profile of the research participants was limited to five psychologists, over 18 years old, residents of greater Belém/PA, who cared for people infected and hospitalized by Covid-19 between March 2019 and March 2022. Based on the analysis of the structure From experience we identified common meanings in all interviews: 1. Volatility of information, speed of daily changes, intrinsic characteristics of the health emergency; 2. PPE issues affecting service and physical and humanized contact; 3. From the patient to the healthcare team, the pandemic affected everyone's mental health, in different forms and degrees of suffering; 4. During the pandemic, Information and Communication Technologies became essential to care; 5. Clinical Psychology was considered an essential service; 6. Healthcare professionals expressed the need for self-care. Also from the contextualization of the unique aspects of subjectivity between the interviews, we revealed the variant aspects: 1. Capacity for personal creative adjustment based on self-perception and self-knowledge; 2. Pandemic and gender issues; 3. Weakening post-pandemic health. The research is considered relevant due to the unveiling of subjective and intersubjective findings from the experience of Psychologists during the pandemic. We conclude that the study pointed out indicators for new research in mental health and care strategies, as well as the deepening of the modalities of providing psychological care, through ICTs.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Desenvolvimento de uma ficha de admissão para pacientes hospitalizados com COVID-19 em um hospital no estado do Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-11-18) CASTRO, Eline Fernandes Ribeiro de; RIBEIRO, Carolina Heitmann Mares Azevedo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3848996822163999; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9457-2733; ALBÉRIO, Carlos Augusto Abreu; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2335187399740995; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9364-3990Objective: Develop an admission form for patients hospitalized for COVID-19 in a private hospital in the state of Pará. The application of the admission form aims at a more assertive clinical decision-making and the reduction of negative outcomes. Methodology: This is a retrospective, cross-sectional and quantitative study, carried out by collecting data from adult patients hospitalized with a diagnosis of COVID-19 from March to June 2020 at the hospital under study. Data collection was divided between patient-related information such as personal data and clinical data such as signs/symptoms on admission, comorbidities and length of stay. Records of vital signs and results of laboratory tests and imaging were also collected. The data obtained were tabulated in Microsoft Excel and statistical analysis Odds ratio and Chi-square with a significance level of 5%. Results: A total of 212 hospitalized patients were evaluated, predominantly male and aged between 60 and 80 years. The presence of comorbidities was identified in 70.8% (n 150) of the patients and, in this case, the occurrence of negative outcomes was higher. After the univariate analysis, the variables that proved to be significant in relation to the negative outcomes were: male gender, age group ≥80 years, presence of some comorbidity, palliative care, hospitalization time >20 days. Conclusion: These results create the possibility of conducting prospective studies to improve care tools for patients with COVID-19, including the development of predictive scales for severe illness. Objective: To investigate hospital admissions for congenital syphilis in Pará, in children under one year old from 2009 to 2018. Methodology: This is an ecological, cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach. Data were collected in the Hospital Information System and Live Birth Information System. Descriptive analyzes of hospitalization rates, lethality, mortality and proportion of expenses were performed. Temporal, spatial analysis and mapping of hospitalization flows for congenital syphilis. Minitab 18®, Joinpoint®, version 4.7.0.0, Terraview 4.2.2, Tabwin 4.1.5 and ArcGis 10.3.1 were used in the analysis of the study. Results: 6,487 hospitalizations for SC were recorded in the 10 years studied, most frequently in the early neonatal period, 94% (6,096) of cases. A gross hospitalization rate for SC in Pará shows an increasing increase with an annual percentage variation of 11.9%. Despite the growth without number of cases and the gross rate of hospitalization, there was a reduction in the lethality rate. As hospitalizations for registered SC resulted in an expense to SUS of R $ 6,014,782.17, with R $ 927.20 being the average expenditure of hospitalizations. A spatial analysis indicates direct spatial autocorrelation in the high-high pattern in the two periods. As for the flow, one Metropolitana I was the only one that received all hospitalizations from its residents in the region itself. Thus, there was a greater absorption of interactions from other regions and a positive balance. Conclusion: The results presented here showed a significant increase in the rate of hospitalization for SC in Pará, in several regions and in all health macro-regions, with a proportional increase in expenses. Despite failures in primary health care, there was an improvement in the quality of tertiary care. The mapping of care networks and flows pointed to the predominance of HI that occurred in the same place of residence as the inpatient. However, it demonstrated differences in the organization and compliance with the foundations of the Cegonha Network, within the health regions and macro-regions, with Macroregion I being the one that most managed to guarantee the resolution of hospital health care.
