    Dinâmica espacial de uso e ocupação do solo urbano no município de Breu Branco-PA

    Breu Branco is a municipality in the state of Pará, located in the microregion of Lake Tucuruí. Over the years, the municipality experienced an accelerated population growth, a consequence of the migration of people from other municipalities of Pará and the northeast region of Brazil in search of work and housing near the works. The spatial growth has a strong relationship with the implementation phases of the Tucuruí HPP. In addition to the population factor, three other factors were important for the Breu Branco spatial growth: the price of land, the topography of the expansion area and the lack of environmental protection policies the municipality. In this work, we used cartographic tools and remote sensing for the construction of maps in three periods 1996, 2006 and 2016. The results obtained show new spatial dynamics, such as the duplication of the urban area, saturation of the projected nucleus of the city towards the north, conversion of forest and preservation areas (APP) into occupations, real estate concentration and speculation about new areas, from the point of view. population view an increase of 58% of the population in twenty years.

    The abundant electric energy is fundamental to a country’s development, it is the engine which builds its economy, strengthening both big industries, small estabilishments as well as the house consumers, generating jobs, profit and increasing the life quality of its ens. On this contexto, the Energy Quality (QEE) concept arose, whose aim is to study the quality of the provided energy by the electrical facilities like the ones of generation, always searching solutions so that the generated electricity arrives at its final destination with no disturbances, according demands of the control offices. This essay has the main purpose the implantation of a energy quality monitoring system (SMQEE) at the Eletrobrás Eletronorte Coaracy Nunes Hydroelectric Power Plant (UHE) in Amapá State. The constant problems in auxiliary generation components as well as the number of events found by the power plant oscillographs worked as motivation to the implantation of the SMQEE. Besides the SMQEE description developed to the UHE Coaracy Nunes, it will be presented the preliminar results of the data over the power plant energy quality, especially the auxiliary services. The oscillographies data from the oscillographs and tension and current data collect gadgets developed and installed in the ground and auxiliary services, form the SMQEE data bank, from which the checks are made and the reports are extracted from the QEE in the power plant. In this system the oscillography is decomposed by the Wavelet techinque to detect the beginning and the end of the occurences that characterize the QEE events which is meant to extract. The SMQEE proposal is the use of the oscillography to the extraction of thefollowing phenomena: tension harmonics, short range tension variations (tension drownings and elevations, interruptions), tension unbalance and transitories. It will also be processed by the SMQEE the system protection functioning, being available to the analyst the visualization of the state of the protection gadgets, to analyze and diagnosis of the occurrence. As main results it has been noticed that the SMQEE, still in implantation stage, shows to answer the Coaracy Nunes Power Plant work routine demands. In conclusion, we may infer tha the usage of computer programs to the QEE monitoring and analysis are important tools to the prevention of electrical systems problems.

    The Amazon basin has a potential for harnessing its water resources, which has been explored by building hydroelectric plants to meet the growing demand for energy generation. However, hydroelectric plants cause great transformations in the use of natural resources, such as fishing and the use of forest resources. This is the case of the construction of the Belo Monte hydroelectric plant (UHE) on the Xingu River, west of Pará. In the research, we studied what changes occurred in the use of medicinal plants, fishing, and hunting after the construction of the Belo Monte UHE, in six communities in region of Volta Grande do Xingu. 45 semi-structured interviews were carried out, with the application of tests with families who live next to the river after the construction of the Belo Monte HPP and who exercise or have already used flora, hunting and fishing activities, both for commercial purposes and for consumption. domestic. The frequency of use of each species for hunting, medicinal plants and fishing was observed. There was a reduction in species appreciated for consumption of fish and wild animals (game). In the use of medicinal plants, andiroba obtained the highest frequency of use. Thus, considering the results, that the use of medicinal plants in riverside families occurred after the construction of the Belo Monte HPP, for fishing and hunting there was a reduction of species appreciated for consumption, and consequently these factors provoke changes in the way of life of riverside families.
