Several societies flourished and developed in this space, and came in contact with others from other parts of the world, and in this place they came to create another variety of thoughts that are concretized in narratives that continue today. In Literature, it has become a setting for the most diverse manifestations of literary art, and in History it constitutes a framework rich in the phenomena of humanity. Role-playing games, RPGs, are part of a genre that emerged in the late sixties in the USA, which presents in its vast material reflections of different historical and literary moments. His contributions are noticeable in several printed materials aimed at practitioners of this narrative activity and other medias. The present thesis aims to trace the dialogues that the RPG printed texts have with some oral narratives collected by the IFNOPAP Project, which aims to expose the resistant imagery in the local identity about what they understand as mythological reality. The focus of the work is on the texts that report fantastic creatures present in the testimonies of several subjects that were questioned by the researchers. The reports are placed in comparison with the texts coming from books of narrative games, something that aims to present how traditional popular narratives still resist time and are absorbed by a genre proper to modernity. For a complete perception, an outline of the course of studies of oral narratives in Brazil and other parts of the world, relevant to the objectives of the thesis, will be drawn. In addition to presenting the context of how role-playing games emerged, it will also be presented how the narratives present in the works can be perceived as appropriate literary texts for interpretation and analysis proper to Literary Theory. From these premises, it will be confirmed that fictional entities will be at the side of the construction of the identity of these peoples, based on the material of the authors who contributed to the IFNOPAP Project. Finally, in annex, the thesis will present a proposal that presents examples of how traditional oral narratives can be adapted for use as RPG scenarios, which will have their own characteristics to be used as a form of resistance and Amazonian expression.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Nas águas lendárias do Rio Capim: narrativas autóctones do fenômeno da pororoca em São Domingos do Capim-Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-01-03) SILVA, José Maria Soares da; FERNANDES, José Guilherme dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7023812449790431; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9946-4961This work intends to analyze the autochthonous narratives about the pororoca phenomenon in São Domingos do Capim, focusing on verifying how the pororoca narratives are socially configured within a process of knowledge and practices in the construction of identity in São Domingos do Capim . For this, the historical, political and economic context will be considered, based on the effects of colonization on local culture, touching on the anthropic action of man on nature, referencing the context and logic of the social groups involved. Then, a bibliographic review and an analysis will be carried out based on the travelers' reports and the narrative of the river and the forests, understanding that nature provides man with raw materials that justify not only his material, but also cultural and spiritual existence. . The field research, carried out among the residents of São Domingos do Capim, presents the oral reports in order to show how the local culture is configured, referencing the context and logic of social groups circumscribed to the universe of narratives, such as the myth of pororoca in São Domingos do Capim. The structuring of sciences and the production of this knowledge do not only cover the dimension of qualitative analysis, but demand studies that are able to promote interpretations in different contexts for the different dimensions of polysemy that, at a technical level, are brought from interviews, testimonies , narratives, experiences and memories. In this sense, the theoretical framework on colonialities, anthropization, interculturalities and decolonialities help the interpretation that privileges the transience in the discourses which, according to Fernandes (2011), are the ambiguity, contrariety and contradiction of categories related to discourse analysis.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Processos identitários e suas vicissitudes em uma comunidade quilombola(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2007) SOUZA, Ercília Maria Soares; BARRETTO, André Maurício Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3046718437592588Studies about the processes of identity construction have gained great attention in researches developed in other academic domains, such as psychology, anthropology, social sciences, and psychoanalysis. These studies investigated the relationships between members of a given community and they center their efforts on important themes, as the following: the mechanisms of identity construction, and the organization of the social relations. The present study investigates an extremely current event, which will shed a light on the antagonistic relations related to the processes of identity construction. With the new Constitution of 1988, some black rural communities were forced into a unique legal situation: in order to obtain the benefits prescribed in the Constitution – which affirms that the descendants of ancient Brazilian Maroons (Quilombolas) have the right of ownership of the land that they occupied – the descendants of the Brazilian Maroons must give proof of their Maroon identity. This situation brings up some issues: How to build up an “identity”? What are the consequences of it? Given this situation, this study will focus on a black rural community of Abacatal (PA), which has been identified as a Maroon community since 1999, with the goal of pointing out some harm involved in the processes of identity construction. Twelve community member were interviewed, 5 men and 7 women, with ages between 27 and 68 – year old. All interviewees had been living in the community for at least thirteen years, therefore, all of them experienced the process of acquiring land ownership through the process of establishing a Maroon identity. The results of the study revealed that: a) the identities constructed evoked slave ancestors and also myths of the community creation (the story of the union between and noble man and slaved woman); b) the establishment of a Maroon identity brough benefits for the members of this Brazilian Maroon community; c) there are several, sometimes conflicting, meanings related to the identity of being a Brazilian Maroon, as for instance the meaning of being a black out-law. The conclusion is that, these processes of identity construction, experienced by the members of the community studied, as well as for each one of us, give us the human status and they are, as says Costa (2000), what keep us alive and add pleasure in our lives.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Território e multiterritorialidade: uma análise dos atingidos por Belo Monte no RUC São Joaquim(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-01-17) SANTOS, Bruno Alves dos; MIRANDA NETO, José Queiroz de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3367795786739987This research addresses issues related to the territoriality of residents of RUC São Joaquim, in Altamira-PA, after the change processed by the Belo Monte hydroelectric plant on the Xingu river. Since they had a socio-spatial organization built in the lived space of the city's lowlands, which the entrepreneur from Belo Monte called ADA. In this context, it was considered necessary to try to understand the continuous process of building identity and the affirmation of the principle of territoriality in the constitution of its territory. Therefore, the problem of this research consists of answering the following question: How has the construction of new territorialities and the identity of belonging of these subjects been taking place in the construction of their territorial bonds? To answer this question, the main objective of the research is to analyze the process of building territorial bonds of identity and belonging from the subjects affected by RUC São Joaquim. Having the specific objectives of a) Investigating what the relationships of belonging and sociability were like between subjects before Belo Monte; b) Understand how the process of moving to RUC São Joaquim took place and its consequences for residents; and c) Understand the territorialities of the subjects in relation to RUC São Joaquim, identifying the processes related to multiterritorialities. The research has an explanatory nature based on a qualitative approach to the proposed topic. The methodological path of structuring and developing this research sought paths that not only allowed understanding, but also the appreciation of the subjects' interpretations of the investigated object combined with the data collection and processing parameters of information obtained in interviews during field activities, which were analyzed based on the proposed theoretical framework. It can be seen that the residents of this RUC present a crossed reality marked by nostalgia for the territoriality that was perceived, lived and conceived in the ADA, demonstrating a multiterritoriality in the continuous process of territorialization, deterritorialization and reterritorialization based on the territorial dynamics imposed by UHE Belo Monte.
