Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Direitos humanos, atitude institucional e simpatia ideológica em universitários brasileiros(2007-12) CAMINO, Cleonice Pereira dos Santos; GALVÃO, Lilian Kelly de Sousa; QUIRINO, Gina Gomes; LIMA, Raquel Moraes de; ROAZZI, Antonio; MARTIN, William Lee BerdelThe aim of this article was to ascertain how university students in north and northeastern Brazil view human rights (HR) and the relationship between this variable, institutional attitudes, and ideological sympathies as well as the geographical region in which they live. There were 832 student participants of both sexes that completed a questionnaire measuring their judgments on 30 rights, 15 institutions, and 10 political ideas. A principal components analysis revealed five factors. Results from multiple regression analysis indicated that institutional attitudes and ideological sympathies may have influenced their views on HR, with the geographic region predictive of the right to social protest. This research aimed on describing the routes and discourses about the process of industrializing and development of Brazil from the year of 1950, examining the impacts toward the Amazon region context; relate the economy scenario of Maranhão State in1980 with implantation of the ALCOA MINERAÇÃO S.A Project; examine the discourses of the press media from Maranhão when informing the population of São Luís about the environmental impacts of the implantation of the ALCOA MINERAÇÃO S.A Project.; identify the actions and reactions of ALCOA MINERAÇÃO S.A Project about the discourses of the press media during the implantation of the alumini and aluminium plant. To guarantee this aim, it is presented a set of theories about the development ideology, via the process of industrialization of the government of Getulio Vargas and Juscelino Kubitscheck and the strategy of occupation of the Amazon Rain Forest during the military government. The government of Getulio Vargas defended a project of autonomous national development. The governmental rhetoric was the construction of a developed nation. The government of Juscelino Kubitschek aimed on the development through the attraction and stimulus of foreign investments in productive sectors. The Military Government though, intensified the occupation of Amazon Rain Forest, through the implantation of regional development plans. It is shown the impacts of the implantation of the ALCOA MINERAÇÃO S.A Project on the economy, on the social and on the environmental aspects in the State of Maranhão. The model of the research used is quality and interpretation based, also going through the exploring, descriptive, bibliographic and documental research. The documental background is based on the local press media in the period of implantation of the ALCOA MINERAÇÃO S.A Project, from the years of 1980 to 1984. The techniques used to analyze and interpret the results were the analysis of the discourse underlined by the French School. The approach adopted sought to present data to enable reflection on the bahavior of Brazilian political parties to present themselves for election. This paper considers the hypothesis that the formation of coalitions in Brazil does not show a pattern of national ideology, they are constituted differently in different Brazilian regions, aiming to maximize their electoral gains. This novel, written in the mold of Socialist Realism – the official aesthetic of the Soviet Union (USSR) in that period, which extended also to several other countries, through their communist parties – chronicles the struggles of workers in the Rio Grande city, at Rio Grande do Sul, during the first half of the twentieth century. In this work, the emphasis is noticeable for women working in factories and at meetings of the Workers' Union, which actively participate on equal terms with men. This study therefore aims to analyze the importance of female characters to develop this narrative, emphasizing those who have had great participation in the struggles of the workers described in the novel, also reflecting on the ideological manifestations that are present in the work.
