As a result of this objective, the structure of ownership of captives will be analyzed, striving to unveil the universe of agricultural properties of which these subjects were fundamental elements. In view of this purpose, I will outline the profile of slaveholders, slaves and properties, revealing the activities carried out in their interiors that are peculiar beforehand, that is, typical of the northern region of this immense country. The research locus is the Amazonian rural world, here called sertão. The hinterland is understood to be the interior regions of the province that bordered the outskirts of Belém, highlighting the localities that made up the Guajarina Zone (Belém, Acará, Capim, Bujaru) and Baixo Tocantins (Cametá, Moju, Abaetetuba and Igarapé-Miri), as it is in these more traditional spaces that agricultural activities have been consolidated. Complex, heterogeneous and plural space. From the properties, it investigated the productive activities and the means by which they were produced, techniques, tools, labor. From the product of the mills and contraptions, the role of the production of sugarcane cachaça and brandy is emphasized; in parallel with activities related to provincial supply and the foreign market. Post-mortem inventories are used as the main source, as a complement to wills, travelers' reports, sources from the overseas historical archive and newspapers.Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) Trabalho e organização coletiva catadoras de caranguejos em uma reserva extrativista marinha no litoral do Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-10-24) SILVA, Ana Patrícia Reis da; MANESCHY, Maria Cristina Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5129734199358770This study aims to analyze the work and collective organization of women who process crabs, inside the Caeté-Taperaçu Marine Extractive Reserve, in Bragança municipality, coast of Pará State, Northern Brazil. It contri-butes to the debate on the centrality of the gender dimension within the socio-environmental development. According to the theoretical fra-mework, in this development approach, economy is embedded in society, the territorial rights of traditional peoples are guaranteed and gender equi-ty is a crucial feature, namely, the parity of participation of men and wo-men in social life. Following a qualitative methodology, observations and semi-structured interviews were carried out with 30 women in the communities of Treme, Taquandeua, Rio Grande and Vila Bonifácio, and in-depth interviews with local leaders, in order to: 1) understanding the history and the structure of crabs processing and its production chain, the women occupational trajectory, the sexual division and the conditions of labor and insertion in the market; 2) analyzing the recently created Network “Rede de Mulheres Caeteuaras”. This association wants to gene-rate income and to value the women processors as fish workers; it embra-ces ideals of gender equity and environmental conservation. The hypothe-sis of the study is that the organization of women in the Network, al-though recent, points to two directions of change: it fosters the visibility and appreciation of women's work in the fishing production chain and it enhances the socioenvironmental development of the RESEX territory. The research revealed different social forms of domestic crabs processing: the family units, the processors working for a boss and those who acquire the raw material from outside traders, process and sell. The women remain in a subordinate position, as they do not control the product, prices and demand for their work. In this scenario, the Women's Network intends to operate in an innovative way. The results show that the women participa-ting in the network become more aware of their professional status, through courses and trainings, but yet they haven’t been able to alter prevailing labor and commercialization practices. It is necessary to expand the web of partners and the social and material resources. Their projects, however, point to new market guidelines, partially confirming the research hypothesis. The community kitchen plans to associate better quality of their product, occupational health and facilities for young mothers caring for their children and reconciling work and care. The study ratifies the importance of women's organizations for sócio environmental development and they might gain the support of RESEX associations and relevant public authorities. Women crabs processsors live and participate in the Market facing structural blockages, where gender, class and cultural barriers intersectDissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Trabalho, saberes e práticas de pesca das mulheres ribeirinhas da ilha Saracá, Limoeiro do Ajuru (PA): resistência das pescadoras artesanais(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-12-27) GONZAGA, Raimunda Moraes Silva; RODRIGUES, Doriedson do Socorro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1127076028303549; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-5120-2484The present work deals with political-identity knowledge built during the formation process of the Associação das Mulheres Trabalhadoras na Aquicultura e Agricultura da Ilha de Saracá (AMAIS), Limoeiro do Ajuru (PA). This research aimed to analyze the political-identity knowledge of women fishermen and farmers in the development of their work and organizational activities, based on AMAIS. Historical-Dialectic Materialism is taken as a methodological guideline, with a qualitative approach, using a semi-structured interview, following content analysis to understand the informants' narratives, based on their work experiences. As a theoretical basis, the readings of Marx (2013), Marx and Engels (2007), Rodrigues (2012), Martins (2017), Barra (2019), Furtado, (2017), Raffestin (1993), Pereira (2014), Lerner (2019), Davis (2016), Toledo (2008), among others. The research problem was constituted in the experiences of a fisherwoman, in academic experiences, in dialogues with the community and in social struggles. To this end, the research revealed at first that, even before AMAIS existed, the women who formed it already had knowledge related to their experiences and their work practices. However, in the performance of their functions as workers developed from the association, these women built political-identity knowledge that re-signified their struggles in their community. This knowledge was identified as political-identity knowledge of autonomy, as it concerns the decision-making power of these women in their work without interference or external coercion from third parties, which demonstrated a principle of freedom and independence. Political-identity knowledge of class consciousness that presents itself as a collective consciousness and organization of minority groups in favor of a class. The political-dental knowledge of cause knowledge that is related to the knowledge acquired through experiences and observation experienced in everyday life and that led them to have a good theoretical basis on their rights as fisherwomen. We also identified in the research that women have always played important roles in the defense of the environment, during the analyzes this was verified due to the presence of AMAIS fishermen in manifestos and claims in favor of the Amazon. Finally, it was found that, even amid the inactivity of AMAIS, the knowledge that was built in the course of its affirmation processes still remain alive, helping them in the social causes of the region.
