Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A economia monetária da produção capitalista de keynes sob a perspectiva de compreensão da história e da teoria(Associação Brasileira de Pesquisadores em História Econômica, 2018-06) CARVALHO, André Cutrim; CARVALHO, David FerreiraThe main objective of the paper is to discuss, from a historical-theoretical point of view, the role of the John Maynard Keynes’ mon etary economy of production. At the time, Keynes’ greatest dissatisfaction was attrib uted to the role that (neo)classic economists attributed to money in a capitalist economy. Indeed, he did not even use the term capital ist economy, but rather the term monetary economy of production to highlight the social importance of money in a mercantile monetary economy. The main conclusion is that Keynes’ monetary economy of produc tion may be a monetary economy of capitalist production, or a monetary-financial economy of capitalist production given the growing importance of cash flows recorded on balance sheets and in the statements of financial position of companies in the contemporary capitalist economyItem Acesso aberto (Open Access) A importância econômica do princípio da demanda efetiva em Keynes-Kalecki no âmbito da economia política(Universidade de Passo Fundo, 2019-06) CARVALHO, André Cutrim; CARVALHO, David FerreiraThe purpose of this article is to rescue the conceptual proximity relationship between the principle of effective demand by John Maynard Keynes and the principle of effective de mand by Michal Kalecki. According to the PDE, economic agents determine the level of output and, therefore, employment when they make the decision to produce or invest in a monetary economy of capitalist production. To criticize Say’s Law and, thus, the founda tions of economic orthodoxy, Keynes and, later, Kalecki created a legacy through a new taxonomy, which gave political economy a different conceptual framework to criticize say’s law and, of course, the fundamentals pertaining to (neo) classical orthodoxy.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O princípio da demanda efetiva de Keynes como contra-ataque definitivo à Lei de Say dos economistas (neo)clássicos(Universidade Federal de Uberlândia, 2018-06) CARVALHO, André Cutrim; CARVALHO, David FerreiraIn General Theory, Keynes presented his understanding of the Principle of Effective Demand. For this, he developed a new conceptual taxonomy, which brought difficul ties to the understanding of the new message contained in his Work, especially for those economists trained in the tradition of (neo) classical orthodoxy. Therefore, the fundamental objective of this paper is to present Keynes’s Principle of Effective De mand as a definitive counterattack to Say’s (neo) classical economists. The true proof of the validity of the General Theory is not logic, not facts, but the usefulness of its application in the real world in which we live.
