Productivity increase, line stoppage control and 5S methodology are expected to be improved. Specifically, the entire production flow was mapped and Lean tools were chosen to be implemented in the shop floor. Also, key performance indicators were used as the way to show and share all improvements and benefits reached. Lean manufacturing is a production system focused to identify and maximize the added value of the products based on wastes reduction including value stream map, standardization and 5S.The project was developed starting from the literature research and case study. Direct observation in the shop floor collecting all data and analysis of them made part of this study. Regarding data, were collected the cycle time of all process, material flow and 5S status of the area. Significant achievements were reached during and in the end of this project. It was increased 15% of 5S score. Line stoppage was reduced by 52% with important actions like standardization and homologation of new method of material control. Significant increase of 37.5% in productivity and capacity raised the company to the next level. As indirect result is worth to mention a reduction of R$9,900/year in extra shipments due to material control improvement.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Aplicação do método Lean no processo de cadeia de manutenção(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-11-25) CAVALCANTE, Milca Daniele Marques; ESTUMANO, Diego Cardoso; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5521162828533153; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-4318-4455With the fourth industrial revolution underway and a globalized market, organizations must be agile and flexible to meet customer requirements and needs. As a result, organizations should use management tools and techniques that add value to their products and/or services, that is, that allows them to produce more with fewer resources. In this perspective, this work aims to develop an analysis of the application of Lean Manufacturing tools in the management of Maintenance Planning and Control (PCM) of a mining company. The study was based on a diagnosis of the initial situation of the PCM, in which low adherence to some indicators was identified, as well as the lack of a problem-solving method. Based on this, a methodology was developed to evaluate the indicators after the implementation of the shop floor and routine management tools (FMDS, kaizen and Andon), and also developed a flowchart to facilitate the employees' decision making regarding the type of continuous improvement tool to use to develop projects. within the PCM. With the implementation of the FMDS tools, Andon and kaizen were achieved consistent results that are presented in graphs, these results were achieved after using the Lean Manufacturing philosophy.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Fluxo contínuo: ferramenta do Sistema de Produção Enxuta aplicado ao processo de produção de estacas pré-moldadas de concreto para fundações(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2009-07-03) BARBOSA, Christiane Lima; LIMA, Adalberto da Cruz; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7803369097132222This work aimed at the implementation of continuous flow in the production of piles of pré-cast concrete for foundation, based on Lean Production System. Principles governing the lean production, elimination of waste and value stream mapping in a real situation were used to obtain results of this application, showing a lean transformation, with significant reductions in waste generated in the production process of the cutting handle. The research period was eight months in a private company, which through the use of tools such system and methodology of action research, it was possible to identify the critical process – locksmiths – where to focus the actions of improvement, with the change of layout, reduction of waste and creation of a unit production, encouraging the application of continuous flow in the production chain. In developing the survey, were conducted on-site training with the future operators of the cell locksmiths, who participated actively in promoting improvements. The result of the implementation of the continuum is the sequencing of production by means of cell layout and synchronizing the supply chain supermarkets. The determination of the takt time of 14 minutes, the size of Pichi and the new layout for the cell, have reduced by 80% to move down the factory, 15% of total earning of area, decrease of 66,5% in the displacement of locksmiths. These changes have benefited the other two stages of the process (hardware and concrete) also in the reduction of waste with drives. As a result, we obtained a clear flow of information through the supermarket inside the cell of production, the establishment of a flow of material and people without interruptions, promoting the implementation of continuous flow. However, creating the continuous flow in the production of piles of pre-cast concrete, in a private company, depends on organizational factors on the managerial style, commitment and delegation of powers, since the immediate interruption of the production process in the event of problems, only became possible through the intervention of the general management, hampering the pursuit of improvements in the production line as the other processes. Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Implementação do lean manufacturing em uma oficina de recuperação de componentes localizada em uma empresa do setor de mineração - São Luís - MA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-01-28) MENDES, Claudia Gonçalves; BATISTA, Clauderino da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1345689043203622The success of a company in a competitive and globalized market is in the ability to identify and eliminate waste, reduce costs, add value to the customer, stabilize, innovate and continuously improve its processes. This justifies the performance of work in which with the growing scarcity of resources and the need to improve maintenance processes, it is sought to plan and improve activities in order to obtain a quality product satisfying the company's customers and employees, the more efficient is the planning and scheduling of maintenance, the lower the rates of rework and unscheduled maintenance. The objectives demonstrate the application of Lean Manufacturing tools in a Component Recovery Workshop located at the Ponta da Madeira Port Terminal -TPPM in São Luís in Maranhão. Among the methodologies addressed, this research has a qualitative character because it is centered on the reality of the company, in addition to being bibliographic, documentary because existing data are used, the data collected are predominantly descriptive, the researcher's interest when studying a particular problem is to verify how it manifests itself in daily activities, procedures and interactions, data analysis tends to follow an inductive process.
