Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A dinâmica do léxico: a neologia de empréstimos no contexto da publicidade(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013-12) CONTIERO, ElzaThe influence of globalization and technology on the lexicon of languages is a fact that cannot be denied; therefore the constant occurrence of foreign words in the Brazilian Portuguese language is a linguistic phenomenon that deserves some reflection. Nowadays, English is the language which gives rise to the most lexical borrowings absorbed by the Brazilian Portuguese language. Broad presence of foreign lexical in media channels linked to communication and information can reveal such phenomenon. The main goal of this paper is to analyze the foreign words found in advertising texts, conveyed in magazines whose target audience is the youth. The collected foreign words refer to a neology that has not been yet transformed into a loanword, so to identify them as such; we adopted the lexicographical criteria, dictionary registration. Having said that, we shall consider a foreign word the lexical unit originally of a foreign language and that is in full use in the Brazilian Portuguese language but it is not in the dictionaries yet.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O léxico agropastoril no corpus do tesouro do léxico patrimonial Galego e Português(Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, 2019-12) DIAS, Marcelo PiresThis article aims to present a comparative study of lexical variants present in Brazil and the variants registered in European Portuguese and Galician. To carry out the variants’ survey, we used the electronic tool belonging to the Tesouro do Léxico Patrimonial Galego e Português project (ÁLVAREZ, 2017). This tool allows us to consult variants and terms of dialectal and lexicographic works. We will take as base for this study seven lexical items belonging to the semantic field of agriculture and agropastoral activities, namely: angu, canga, espiga, moringa, paneiro, penca and sabugo. The mapping of these variants aims to observe the status of their meanings, whether common or distant in the three territories (Brazil, Portugal and Galicia).Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Religião e crenças no atlas geossociolinguístico quilombola do nordeste do Pará(Universidade Estadual de Mato Grosso do Sul, 2020-04) DIAS, Marcelo Pires; OLIVEIRA, Marilúcia Barros deThis paper describeand discuss the lexical variation based on data from the semantic field religion and beliefs of the Quilombola Geo-sociolinguistic Atlas of Northeastern Pará. This atlas describes and maps the linguistic variety of Afro-Brazilian Portuguese spoken in the remaining quilombo communities in the Northeast Mesoregion of Pará. The semantic field chosen for analysis is composed of questions that express the religious dimension and the beliefs of the interviewed informants in research. In this study we will present and discuss the results of the following maps: L104 -devil and L106 -spell. The atlas adopted as a starting point for obtaining the data, the assumptions of Linguistic Geography, a method of Dialectology that instrumentalizes the treatment and description of linguistic data in the socio-spatial scope, considering the diatopic, diassexual and diagerational dimensions. The results indicate different degrees of competition between the identified variants, as well as showing the use of nicknames to refer toforms considered taboo.
