Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O cangaço em “Fogo morto” e em “Os Desvalidos”(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-10-29) MENESES, Antonio Alan Dantas de; FURTADO, Marli Tereza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2382303554607592This study aims to establish a comparative analysis between novels of the twentieth century Brazilian literature, regarding the approach taken by the works of social and historical phenomenon of the cangaço. The works Fogo Morto of José Lins do Rego and the Os Desvalidos of Francisco Dantas represent two different moments of northeast fictional production. The first work is inserted into the fiction of the '30s and '40s. The Fogo Morto consists in the tenth novel of the writer represented by character Jose Amaro, saddler that turns into helper outlaw Antonio Silvino. The second works published in 1993 represents regional fiction. The novel is based in the point of view of character Coriolano that unlike Jose Amaro he demonstrates hatred by cangaço represented by Lampião. The comparative analysis of the work was preceded by a historical study of the cangaço, as well as, the ambiguous characterization of the “cangaçeiro” presents in the northeast popular imagination. Indeed, the cangaceiro is represented as hero and sometimes seen as outlaw. The contradictory point of view appears in the two novels analyzed in this work. The historical approach of the cangaço is made from studies of authors such as Facó Rui (1983), Maria Isaura Pereira de Queiroz (1977) and Luis Bernardo Pericás (2010). It was also essential a brief survey of Camara Cascudo (2005) which helps to understand the cangaceiro as a regional folk hero. Finally, for the comparative study between of Fogo Morto and Os Desvalidos were used works of authors such as José Paulo Paes (1995) and Sonia Lucia Ramalho de Farias (2006), which supply important elements to relation between works of nature regionalist produced by writers from the Northeast.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Estilo e linguagem na recepção crítica de “Grande sertão: veredas”(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-04-27) PEREIRA, Ingred de Lourdes; HOLANDA, Sílvio Augusto de Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0928175455054278This master's dissertation aims to examine the critic reception which is focused on linguistic-stylistic aspects of João Guimarães Rosa's (1908-1967) works. During its the best moment on 1950', the Stylistic theory, specially the one of Spanish origins, had greater influence on Brazilian literary criticism. This event matched to the excitement caused by the publishing of two important works by Guimarães Rosa in the same year, Grande sertão: veredas and Corpo de baile (both are from 1956), that is consequence of its language, which is a fusion of popular and erudite and which has a suiprising imaginative power. As result of that coincidence appeared the studies which constitute the first reception and part of them intended to analyze different linguistic resources used by Guimarães Rosa in order to create the hinterland-as-language of his works. The stylistic method accomplishes these objectives and is the basis of studies analyzed on this dissertation, such as Cavalcanti Proença's (1905-1966) pioneering critic study, Trilhas no Grande Sertão (1958), and from other essayists as Oswaldino Marques (1916-2003), about Sagarana and others diffuses publications, and the American professor Mary L. Daniel (1936- ). Although these stylistic studies are open to discussion if we consider the methodological point of view, as it will be observed, they turned out to be classics inside the Guimarães Rosa's critic fortune due to their contribution to the enlightenment of the work. Evidence of what was said is the existence of recent studies that still discusses categories thought over by Stylistics like the lexical, examples are the works developed by Nei Leandro de Castro and Nilce Sant'Anna Martins. As method to the current dissertation, it will be adopted the literary hermeneutic formulated by Hans Robert Jauss (1921-1997), with the puipose of analyzing a specific critic reception (stylistic criticism) and understanding its relevance to the comprehension of Guimarães Rosa's work in a period close to the one it was first published, as well as the intent to make a contrast between the former reception and the latest one that still focuses in the language field. Equally, the dissertation aims to verify the reader's importance to the (re)signification of fictional narrative. The reader is represented here by such a singular kind of reader, the literary critic, who is capable of offering interpretative guidelines in order to support the reading performed by a common reader.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Versos modernos: a paisagem amazônica no imaginário poético de Adalcinda Camarão(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-04-20) BARBOSA, Iris de Fátima Lima; FERNANDES, José Guilherme dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7023812449790431This study proposes a thematic analysis of some poems of the poet Adalcinda Magno Camarão Luxardo (1915-2005) taking into account aspects of the imaginary and the elements, images, symbols, places and landscape embedded and reflected on her poetic productions. The writer was born in the city called Muaná in Marajó Island, in Pará and entered on the cultural and literary Paraense scene as one of the few women who campaigned in the art world during this period. When she was still normalist, she became part of the student groups who fought in literary fronts. It is Important to mention that the author contributed to literary magazines which circulated in Belemense society in the first half of the twentieth century like: Guajarina, A Semana and Amazônia – which helped to spread her poetry, beyond she wrote for newspapers like: O diário and A Província, which demonstrate her insertion and importance for the literary scene of that time, under the auspices of the constitution of a local literary movement. Therefore, this research is focused on the thematic analysis of the Adalcinda poems that shown the relationship among imagery, images, symbols, place and landscape trying to make analogies with authors such as Gilbert Durand (1997), François Laplantine and Liana Trindade (1997), in a survey based on anthropology, Gaston Bachelard(2008), with his consideration of the poetic space and Milton Santos (2006), regarding the idea of landscape, still placing the phenomenological views on these issues through Sartre (1996).
