A cultura local e as experiências de músico sonoplasta no grupo Xamã: os contadores de histórias
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-05) FERRO, Kélem Carla Alves
The work as a music educator in public schools of the state education network has among its many challenges the reduction of distances between the academic curriculum formation of the music teacher and the musical culture brought by the students. The musical experience in the group Xamã brings, in the scope of artistic production, the practice of accompaniment and arrangement thought to express in the music, local, thematic and ethnic literatures. The academic training of the music teacher has the characteristic of emphasizing the European musical tradition and of making it an example in the construction of formal knowledge. This action as a cultural action has direct reverberation in the practices of music teachers in public schools throughout Brazil, establishing contradictions between the academic formation, the reality presented in schools, the curricular parameters of the discipline and the recent demands pointed by ethnomusicology for musical education . In this sense, the artistic practice that involves literature and music with an emphasis on the diversity of social groups also presents itself as a possibility of building musical knowledge, inside and outside the classroom, based on experiences of appreciation, contextualization and shared musical creation With the students.

In the present thesis, ‘Timeless dialogues between music and image: resignifying Clemente Ferreira Júnior’s work (1864-1917)’, the author aims to promote a dialogue between Clemente Ferreira Júnior’s work (his great grandfather), composer, pianist and conductor, with his own work, considering epistemologies in the study of music and image. The author presents a historical summary, presenting an overview of the composer’s sociocultural surroundings, subsequently making an analysis of his pianistic work, utilizing an semiologic and semiotic perspective (musical and visual), aiming do unveil creative (poietic) and perceptive (estesic) aspects, considering its covers, the musical object and a few historical aspects. Develops, therefore, a musical product as a result of the epistemological and phenomenological dialogue, the Imaginary landscapes catalog, throughout artistic and compositional processes (“transmelodies” e “pictoscores”), transforming and resignifying Clemente’s work, to be released in parallel as this thesis. The author aimed to establish, therefore, a transdisciplinary artistic and epistemological dialogue, combining musical semiology and semiotics, proposing an outline for a kinesthetic sign, grounded in different notions from various authors: Nattiez (1990), Molino (1990), Tarasti (1994).

Thus, we used research tools such as interviews and application of a rating scale that verifies the use of learning. Thus, we used research tools such as interviews and application of a rating scale that verifies the use of learning. Indeed, the results achieved concerning the learning of students with developmental disorders corroborate what the specialized literature recommends: the possibility of learning music for these public is possible and real, and there should be continuity and musical stimulus for these students in an effort to overcome the limitations imposed by the conditions. Regarding the genesis and structure of the program, the sources of theoretical studies ever conducted on the ASP allowed an outline of information to meet the objective. Given these positive findings already developed and verified in the learning environment of the PCA, it is expected to contribute to strengthening the practices of this Program, and more broadly, contribute to the guidance of more effective educational public policies.

The present work seeks to reveal the intention (perceiving how students can, through history, music and compositional originality, reveal their historical awareness) and the results of research on music and historical awareness in the teaching of History within the Postgraduate Program -strictu sensu graduation Professional Master in History Teaching at the Federal University of Pará, Campus Ananindeua. The initial action of the research was, working with music as a central didactic resource, to teach the military dictatorship content in Brazil and observe the impact caused on the students of the 3rd year of High School at the State School of Elementary and High School Maria Pia dos Santos Amaral, in municipality of Castanhal in the State of Pará, proposing to them, later, the challenge of composing an original song in which they expressed, in addition to feelings, conceptions and world views, their historical awareness about what they studied, since this intervention proposal innovative pedagogical is a requirement of the master's course I mentioned above: to make students actively participate in the teaching and learning process and that this participative attitude of students contributes to the teacher building a result, which in this case can be also the methodology itself, from what was produced by the students and that can also be used with didactic resource by other professionals. The launch of the challenge to the students was possible due to the presence of many instrumentalist students in the school mentioned above. This is explained by the existence of a music school near the school. The methodology used was to present students with written, audiovisual, pictorial and sound materials about the Brazilian dictatorial period, so that after each of these presentations, in a kind of feedback, they could write their impressions (phrases, short texts or even poems), which later they were used by them in the compositional exercise of the song's lyrics and musicalization, which was also published on the NOSSA HISTÓRIA channel on the social network Youtube. Therefore, according to the above, this work, in addition to addressing student proactivity in building their own knowledge and valuing school historical knowledge, makes an incipient discussion about the history of the present time and public history.

This study aims at interpreting the different musical routes taken by the Music Course students of the Universidade do Estado do Para- UEPA. The ethnographic work allowed me to observe three profiles which stand out in the Course: the erudite musician, the gospel musician and the popular musician. From the categories cultural identity, musical identity, diversity and carrier, I sought to understand how these musical identities interact and compound the singularity of a Course whose purpose is to form musical educators. The study is presented in three parts: the first one deals with the dense description of the Music Course, the students, the professor/researcher and the role the disciplines Cultura Popular and Música e Sociedade - taught by me- played considering the elaboration of the problem. The second part begins with a theoretical approach related to the construction of socialization networks among musicians and it also describes the profile of each group, the erudite, the gospel and the popular, according to the way they present themselves in the researched context. The interaction between these three groups is the object of the third part. From the perspective of musical diversity – musical preference and identities and cultural diversity – I point out the identities.

Memórias de professores de artes/música: concepções, objetivos e “estratégias” na educação musical em escolas estaduais de educação básica em Belém – PA
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-06-23) FAÇANHA, Tainá Maria Magalhães; VIEIRA, Lia Braga; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8247703330856310
This work consists of a research based on Oral History, which proposed as main objective to understand the meaning of music education in basic education schools in Belém do Pará, from Memories of Music Teachers. Specifically, it was analyzed the conceptions of teachers of Art / Music in these schools, the goals established by these teachers for music education in basic education and the "strategies" they developed for teaching music in basic education. It was also related and analyzed how the conceptions, "strategies" and objectives chosen by the Art / Music teacher direct the teaching of music education in primary education schools. Through oral history it was possible to understand the pedagogical-musical choices of art teachers in the teaching of music, through the investigation of their memories, especially regarding their formations arising from life experiences, institutional experiences and teaching practices. I understand that they are the basis of their practices as teachers. For the development of the research, 29 schools were visited, in order to identify how many art teachers licensed in music work in these schools. Two teachers were interviewed: a licensed music teacher who has worked in the public school for more than 20 years and a licensed music teacher who has worked in the public school system for more than 10 years. These interviews were transcribed, textualized and transcribed, resulting in two narratives, which were later interpreted and analyzed from a transdisciplinary view that enabled a dialogue with the concept of memory, in the light of authors of History, Sociology, Anthropology and Philosophy; And of education. It can be concluded that the main points of this research was that school music education is not only tracked by one path, perhaps not by many, but by teachers who, through obstacles, construct school music education on a daily basis. His life experiences and institutional formation are shown as pillars of his work as professionals, resignifying teaching practices and conceptions of life. In addition, the dialogue between school management and teachers becomes essential for effective teaching of music at school.

Música e tecnointerações na Amazônia paraense: retóricas e identificações culturais em materialidades do Terruá Pará e da Banda de Thrash Metal Antcorpus
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013-08-09) BAENA, Talita Cristina Araujo; AMARAL FILHO, Otacílio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2605877670235703
There are times mankind has experienced a long process of social mediatization, intensified by the advent of the playing techniques of art and culture. This process, in contemporary times, enabled the transformation of real experience in the music-historical experience media. In this context, culture and business merge and globalize, restructuring each other. In Paraense Amazon, the complexity and possibilities of this media experience of music has led the region to another wave of adjustments to global contexts. The dissertation deals of communication processes and cultural identity through materiality of two phenomena of contemporary music experience perceived in Paraense Amazon: the dissemination of music project - Terruá Para - and thrash metal band Antcorpus. The analysis started from the reflection that the communication can be understood as a hermeneutic of existence, crossed by a mediatical ambiance. Among the observations recorded, stood out because of its importance: the social mediatization through technological interactions, namely, tecnointeractions that vectorize appropriation, and incorporation of musical expressions, both groups of young as professionals related to local cultural industries. To vectorize these processes through mediatical images of musical experiences, the tecnointeractions exhibit sound experiences of the town, which in some cases suffered metonymic processes that evidence a standard system of feeling, which here is called aesthesis policy.

Music Performance Anxiety (MPA) is recognized as an anxiety disorder classifiable as a variant of social phobia according to the DSM-IV (APA, 1994). It is characterized by physical, cognitive and behavioral manifestations linked to performance that can impact musicians of all ages and levels. Few studies have investigated MPA in Brazilian music students and none of them were carried out in Northern Brazil. The present study investigated the occurrence of MPA among students from the secondary level music schools Carlos Gomes State Institute (IECG) and Music School of the Federal University of Pará (EMUFPA), and from the tertiary level Bachelor in Music Course of the State of Pará University/Carlos Gomes Foundation, all situated in Belém. The data was collected using the K-MPAI scale properly validated to Portuguese, which is composed by 40 questions giving a maximum score of 240. Higher scores correspond to higher anxiety level. A total of 128 students, 89 males and 39 females, age 18-47 years, were included in the final sample. An additional survey investigated the most frequent manifestations associated with performance anxiety and other questions related to local opportunities for public performances for musicians. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS. The results showed that the minimum score in the K-MPAI was 26 and the maximum was 208. Females had significantly higher mean score (124.4±33.8) than males (98.5+32.3) and there were no differences in the K-MPAI mean scores when comparing different classes of instruments (woods, metals, strings, guitar, singing, piano and percussion) or age brackets (<20, 21-30, 31-40, >40 years). Comparison between students from the three different music courses showed that the mean KMPAI score of students from EMUFPA was lower than those from the IECG, indicating that the latter group might presents more anxiety problems. The cognitive manifestation most frequently cited (by 49.2% of the students) was “the concern of what people are thinking about me”. The large majority of students (96.1%) expressed the desire to give more public performances; they (86%) also think that this practice helps to decrease their anxiety. This is the first study about the theme carried out locally. The survey showed that many students from music schools in Belém suffer from considerable anxiety associated with music performance, and that females tend to be more anxious than males. The causes underlying their anxiety need to be investigated and the results provide initial data for the development of new teaching methodologies, to encourage the discussion about the problem and to stimulate the search for effective measures that could minimize the manifestations of anxiety in music students.

Música, raça e preconceito no ensino fundamental: notas iniciais sobre hierarquia da cor entre adolescentes
(2013-12) COELHO, Wilma de Nazaré Baía; COELHO, Mauro Cezar
This article discusses the formulations made by elementary school teenage students on color and prejudice, through the relation they establish with the music they listen. Thus, the consumption is seen as a key to understanding this age group and one of the dimensions of its life: the reading they make of the color hierarchy and how they perceive themselves in it. It is important, therefore, scrutinize how the preference expressed by teenagers who attend elementary school could allow an antecipatory glimpse of the relationship they establish with this Brazilian social significant - the color - and one of the relations established by it - prejudice.

This dissertation presents an intervention proposal, in which music is the main articulating element of classes, actions and activities within the context of history teaching. Thus, this work proposes an action of Education through Hip-Hop, especially its musical aspect, Rap with the creation of a teaching methodology resulting from the result of the research and that can be perfectly used by any teacher and in any school. For its realization, we use the participation of rappers from Pará as an articulating element, due to the fact that they allow a better tuning with Hip-Hop Education, this intervention being adaptable to the 9th grade of elementary school curriculum. This dissertation had as its final product the methodology itself, created by the students in partnership with the rappers and the professor-researcher. This methodology is composed of seven activities, being an amazing experience from the pedagogical point of view, as it allowed themes apparently distant from history, but close to the students' reality, to become extremely productive. The main theoretical references that guided the work were Edward Thompson, with his history seen from below; Roberto Camargos, with his reflections on rap and politics; and Paulo Freire, through his emancipatory pedagogy.
