(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-05-04) OLIVEIRA, Edyones Barros de; MAGNO, Rui Nelson Otoni; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9017163598972975
This study aims to approach the implementation of a new layout of manufacturing process for high displacement motorcycles using the MASP methodology and Lean Manufacturing tools as a facilitator to adapt to the market oscillation. The research was carried out in a motorcycle industry located in the Free Trade Zone of Manaus, using the PDCA method (Plan, Do, Check, Action) for the feasibility after SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) in which the focus of actions of the project was defined. As a result, benefits were presented, such as: flexibility to increase production capacity due to the new layout arrangement and 67% reduction of Work In Process that made 25% of the total industrial area viable; versatility in the assembly process due to increased training of operators to produce all models; 5,5% reduction of the operator quantity keeping the same productive capacity; a reduction of at least 25% in the investment needed to implement new products, reaching up to 60% depending on the motorcycle in question, enabling the approval of the launch of four models in the last six months and avoiding an increase of 51.25% in value the asset chart; annual reduction of R$ 80,000.00 in costs with spare parts and preventive maintenance service; 15% reduction in electricity consumption; and a 5% decrease in line stoppage due to the limitation to change the production plan. With that, it provided greater brand competitiveness in the Brazilian market even when compared to other brands in thex same segment that have already presented studies of process optimization focused on the Lean Production principle but limited to the manufacturing benefits.

The success of a company in a competitive and globalized market is in the ability to identify and eliminate waste, reduce costs, add value to the customer, stabilize, innovate and continuously improve its processes. This justifies the performance of work in which with the growing scarcity of resources and the need to improve maintenance processes, it is sought to plan and improve activities in order to obtain a quality product satisfying the company's customers and employees, the more efficient is the planning and scheduling of maintenance, the lower the rates of rework and unscheduled maintenance. The objectives demonstrate the application of Lean Manufacturing tools in a Component Recovery Workshop located at the Ponta da Madeira Port Terminal -TPPM in São Luís in Maranhão. Among the methodologies addressed, this research has a qualitative character because it is centered on the reality of the company, in addition to being bibliographic, documentary because existing data are used, the data collected are predominantly descriptive, the researcher's interest when studying a particular problem is to verify how it manifests itself in daily activities, procedures and interactions, data analysis tends to follow an inductive process. The results obtained thus evidencing continuous improvement works aimed at operational excellence, training of several teams in various processes, elimination of waste and results aimed at financial gain. There were also defenses of new investments for the Workshop with new technologies positively impacting productivity

With the advancement of technologies, the market increasingly drives competitiveness, where new performance standards are imposed, generating a series of challenges for companies, such as the need for paradigm shifts in relation to many things, but mainly productive process control. The rapid absorption of external elements, new projects, rotating teams, demand fluctuation and other variables, makes companies to create and innovate mechanisms to adapt themselves and apply quick respond to the findings and issues. The survival key for any production process is low cost and high quality. To meet this expectation, online controls are implemented to block manufacturing issues that can go out of control if not detected on time. The Lean Manufacturing strategy has helped in thisbattle, however, some of the proposed tools, such as production control methods based on self-control by the operators themselves, in general employing management boards in sight at the workstations, are often not enough to ensure the accuracy of information to identify the root causes of problems in companies where the practice of continuous improvement by problem identification, analysis and solution is not as strong. This work proposes a method of implementing real-time production performance monitoring within the Lean Manufacturing strategy that, with the creation of a Help Chain, that when effectively triggered by an online system, drives the rapid solution of problems. Real-time monitoring of production performance creates favorable conditions for verifying the effectiveness of any improvement implemented and for permanently monitoring the results. The case study of the implementation of the proposed method of monitoring the real-time performance of manufacturing of a company in the electronics industry will be reported.
