In the mid-eighteenth century, the Guaporé, Mamoré and Madeira rivers became a river way used to establish communication between the Captaincy of Mato Grosso and the State of Grão-Pará and Maranhão. The historiography that analyzed the subject pointed out, notably, the importance of the Portuguese crown in the constitution of this way and the relevance of commercial activities for its consolidation. Although these axes of reflection are important, it is believed that they are not enough to analyze the composition of this river way. In this sense, this thesis argues how this way was also constituted from the mobility and interest of the people who, in expeditions, navigated these rivers and how this displacement was connected to other demands and was constituted, equally, from the interaction with the environment.

This thesis aims to identify the main institutional, political, legal, and economic colonization process present in private companies and families in the cities of São José do Rio Claro and Canarana, both the State of Mato Grosso. The importance of such aspects unveil is a function of the need to understand the private colonization facing small farmers in the Central South, allocated in the Amazon in Mato Grosso. The deepening of these analyzes will support future processes of colonization, as well as mitigate likely negative impacts that reverberate even today in these municipalities. The search is configured as exploratory and descriptive study was implemented in the field in both counties. The literature and documents sought to raise the historical aspects of land occupation, the presence of organizations and institutional processes that enabled the commercialization of land and the consequences of colonization for small private farmers. The colonization undertaken by private firms and households is configured as a continuation of the "colonial enterprise." The occupation of the Amazon in Mato Grosso established the presence of organizations and public and private institutions the process of land privatization, taken by vacant of Mato Grosso. The banter for land acquisition was fractionated by laws and organizations that facilitated the purchase by the State. These lands came to small holders Mid-South trade via land undertaken by private colonizers. Migrant farmers came from a productive culture based on a natural environment own climate south and southeast, the state faced difficulties with the weather in the Midwest, limiting agricultural production in the culture experiments brought. Aspropane ..living environments. Between success and failure, can nowadays repair cautoores acquired, although consider that their knowledge is not recognized pioneer and valued in public politic asm still searching based small farm workers. In this sense, the study confirms the hypothesis that colonization encouraged the private logic of capitalist production the small landowning farmer Mid-South, not only to provide you with access to land, but by a market logic that made possible through the lands the process of buying and selling areas of various sizes, even in amounts lower than allowed by the official organ of the government. Fomented the occupation, calling the rural worker and hence the manpower required for large projects capitalists. It was found that small producers were not included in the planning of government organizations.

The economic growth of Mato Grosso in the last four decades is presented as a reflection of public policies implemented in the state, although the direction for the commoditie´s production has generated significant impacts on the environment and in the local society. Moreover, sustainable innovation in industries might become a factor of diversification and optimization of industrial production matrix of the state. Thus, the objective of this thesis is the ability to detect adherence of Food and Wood industries of Mato Grosso over the paradigm of sustainable innovation. The exploratory study was operationalized through a field study in which 1149 industries formed the universe, a random with 92 responses of entrepreneurs, 57 wood´s and 35 food´s supply. The data collected from January to July 2012 were statistically analyzed by SPSS 17. Such analyzes have revealed that sustainable innovation is not yet configured as a reality, lacking basic structural conditions to enable the operation of the system, however there is strong evidence that entrepreneurs are pursuing innovation in processes, seek information, encouraging their employees to innovate and already adopt some practices related to sustainable management. There is a dichotomy in the profile of companies in the state and also in the way they seek to innovate, so that public policies do not meet all evenly. Few companies effectively develop sustainable innovation, largely acquire foreign technology. Besides the quantitative research were technical visits and interviews in eleven public institutions in order to collect qualitative information about the industry and their adherence to sustainable innovation. This study confirmed the hypothesis that public institutions were inefficient in the process of "sustainable regional development", as generated only economic growth. And are responsible for the current production structure that excluded indigenous or autoctone knowledge and territorial characteristics, to established and maintain the path dependence. However there is the possibility of transforming these productive structures since the institutionalities be transformed and education, learning and support structures to micro and small business owners are strengthened through cooperation. Guidelines were suggested.

Memórias e saberes quilombolas acerca dos sistemas alimentares em contexto de expropriação territorial do quilombo da Bocaina, Porto Estrela, Mato Grosso
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-07-31) VILHENA, Renata Kelly Costa; BARROS, Flávio Bezerra; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4706140805254262
From an ethnographic study of memories related to the food system of quilombola families in Bocaina, in the municipality of Porto Estrela, Mato Grosso, the transformations occurred in food were identified and reflected after the process of expropriation of the territory that occurred in the 1970s. The study was development with the contribution of concepts such as territory (RAFFESTIN, 1993) and (LITTLE, 2002), anthropology of food (CONTRERAS; GRACIA, 2011) and (DAMATTA, 1986) and memory (HALBWACHS, 2004), and from empirical data from frield research. For this, they were applied as research instruments the participant observation, field diary, photographic records, informal conversations, semi-structured interviews and oral history. As results, the dissertation presents the history of the quilombo that portrays the process of expropriation, in addition to the different forms of production, preparation and consumption of food, highlighting the productive activities of agriculture, extraction, hunting, fishing, among others. that have been resisting in order to relive the past when they lived in Bocaina territory. It is noticeable that there were reductions in productive activities that are important for families' self-consumption and food security, since the places these families currently live in do not represent the value that the territory had. Another relevant aspect in the food contexts was between the analysis of the relationships between foods, sociability, identity and culture, of which the important “Festas de Santos” of “São João Batista” and “São Pedro” can be present. Families are hopeful with the resolution of access to the territory, through a judicial process that guarantees the right to return to their lands. Meanwhile, everyday life is reframed and transformed in the hope of reviving again in its territory.
