This research aims to analyze the memory and daily life at Magalhães Barata Avenue, using the method of Street Ethnography, used as a resource for the preservation of the cultural heritage of the area. This proposal is based on the experience of the researcher and architect of the Goeldi Museum, for over 30 years, which aroused looking at the changes in the former Independence Avenue architecture in this time interval. The choice of the ethnographic method provided a qualitative and closest approach of the avenue residents‘, allowing us to an analysis of the interactions, the memory of the residents, the daily lives of passersby, traditional activities of formal and non-formal working, from the first decades of the XX century. During the immersions in the avenue, we use the interviews to record the historical and affective memory of the passerby, who works and who lives on the avenue, as well as we use the photographic record as a way of highlighting the transformations in the architecture. In response to the guiding research question "How to preserve the architectural diversity of the Avenue, considering the changes that have occurred and the social dynamics of the place?" We conclude that the knowledge gained from the incursions in the field will allow the appreciation of the cultural heritage found in the stretch where a marked change in the customs and local ambience is visible. Through actions adapted by cultural institutions located in the Avenue, we can make the daily activities of the streets, where the human relationships are found, work and friendship ones, as well as routine activities that have the testimony of personal and social events. This is the rescue of cultural memory, an important factor for preservation of the identity of the place.

(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-12-22) SILVA, Wilson Júnior Bastos da; SILVA, Wesley Garcia Ribeiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2125737316069934; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2734-5442
This dissertation aimed to discuss how the teaching of African History and Ethnic-Racial Diversity, prescribed by law 10639/03, has an important contribution to an anti-racist education. Thus, we mobilize, through the dialectical process between teaching and learning as pedagogical tools, knowledge that involved the ancestry that walks with memory and, as a means, the orality to work on the valorization of an identity linked to the African continent. For this, we searched through the interface between “Griot Technology” from ancestry and the orality technology of cyberspace podcast, to put our purpose into practice. Our studies were based on “Irmã Maria Angelica Dantas school”, in Paragominas, which in its Political Pedagogical Project includes the “Project Black is the Root of Freedom” for discussions on ethnic-racial relations.

In this research we aimed to analyse oral poetics in voices of residents who live in the city of Melgaço, in Forests' Marajó - PA. Taking as base the interlacement between rural-urban in the Amazon and considering that a lot of research about oral narratives focused on rural areas, we interpret these narratives as ways of life, creation, artistic and cultural existence produced in the poetic of the voice, performances and aesthetics by urban dwellers of Melgaço; We mapped creative movements to apprehend ways that the narrators socialize these histories that are invented, recreated, suffer adaptations or enter in disuses in urban lives. Following theoretical orientations of Semiotic Studies, Literary, Psychological, Anthropological and Cultural in connection with the Art field, using the methodology of Oral History, we strive to enter in the oral poeticity of a city of the Marajoara Amazon, capturing the imagination aesthetic that is elaborated in the everyday know-create, gestated in the art of telling and listening by residents of Melgaço. In our perception, the urban oral narratives recover, on its content, afroindígenous memories, historical heritages, practical knowledge, artistic, symbolic, psychological, philosophical and religious transmitted from generation to generation in form of counseling and human conduct. Dipped in this universe, we discovered, by the morphology of oral art, that Melgaço, in the voice of each deponente, is the place of reception, work, friends meetings and fight for life. By performantized voices, the storytellers-poets externalize feelings of dedication, affection and love for the city. The voice’s poetic makes visible the local imaginary aesthetics where the art of narrating has a unique value in the life of each poet because it shares happiness, delight for the soul, therapy for the body, moment of encounter and dialogue with one another, intertwining different times, spaces and generations.

Inorganic mercury is easily absorbed by ingestion or cutaneous. However, a relatively small amount of Hg2 + crosses the blood brain barrier or biological membranes, and in adult rats, the retrograde axonal transport only way to Hg2+ uptake by neurons, presenting great potential neurotoxic. The aim of this study was to determine the effects of chronic exposure to mercury chloride in social and emotional memory in adult rats. For this we used male Wistar rats (n= 40) with 5 months of age , divided into two groups , one of which was exposed to mercury chloride (HgCl2) by intragastric gavage (0,375mg / kg) for 45 days. The other group, called the control group (n=20) received distilled water by gavage. The following behavioral tests were used: the open field test, social recognition test for the evaluation of social memory; the elevate T maze test (LTE) was used to assess learning in the state of avoidance and short and long - term memories. After completion of the tests, the animals were sacrificed to evaluate the level of total mercury in the hippocampus by an Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer. The results showed that animals subjected to exposure to mercury chloride did not show deficits in exploration activity. The data from social recognition test, showed that there was no change in social memory. In LTE test, the group exposed to HgCl2 required a greater number of exposures for the acquisition of avoidance criteria (p<0.05) and a higher latency in the open apparatus arm (p<0.05). After 24 hours, it was found that treated animals spent less time in the closed arms than in the control group, suggesting the long-term memory deficits. By just watching the HgCl2 group, noticed an improvement in the retest, indicating preservation in the short-term memory. The data of atomic absorption spectrometry showed greater deposition of mercury in the hippocampus of affected animals, as compared to control animals.

A Batalha do Livramento: ensino de História e Conflitos Agrários na Terra Indígena Alto Rio Guamá – TIARG (1990-2024)
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-08-29) SOUSA, Álvaro Gomes de; LIMA, Maria Roseane Corrêa Pinto; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0040917069487308; orcid logo https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8396-0618; SILVA, Wesley Garcia Ribeiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2125737316069934; orcid logo https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2734-5442
This study discusses agrarian conflicts involving the Terra Indígena Alto Rio Guamá – TIARG and the subjects that comprise it, especially the Tembé indigenous people of the Jacaré village. It is clear that agrarian conflicts have marked and currently mark a field of existence and resignifications for the Tembé people in relation to the conquest of land. More specifically, the Battle of Livramento is analyzed and, based on experiences in History Teaching, the agrarian struggles in the conquest of land and the approaches to this theme within the classroom in Basic Education are discussed. The Battle of Livramento was an armed conflict between Tembé indigenous people and squatters who occupied the Alto Rio Guamá Indigenous Land, which occurred in the 1990s and reached its peak in 1996, when a group of more than 70 individuals, indigenous people of the Tembé, Timbira, Ka'apor, Guajajara and non-indigenous ethnic groups, were imprisoned by farmers and squatters for three days, subjected to torture and lack of minimum conditions for survival, and were only rescued by the Federal Police in Vila do Livramento, in the municipality of Garrafão do Norte. Thus, we surveyed the bibliography on the subject and developed the research based on teaching experiences in the classroom in an indigenous community, as well as on the reports of subjects who experienced and/or remembered those events that constitute an important historical moment in the region and relevant to the work in History Teaching. The research is developed based on interviews recorded by students in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd years of high school about the importance of discussing agrarian conflicts for the Tembé people, as well as interviews with individuals who participated in the conflict, cross-referencing with bibliographical references relevant to the topic. As a result of the research, we propose a supplementary educational material on the Tembé people and agrarian conflicts, which can be used by both indigenous and non-indigenous teachers, especially in history classes, discussing indigenous school education in the northeast region of the state of Pará in the contemporary Amazon, valuing the history of the Tembé people.

The present study aims to reflect on the contributions of the memory narratives of ex-inmates at the Hospital Colônia de Marituba/PA, from 1940 to 1970; memories of a lived time that allow to enter the cultural universe of this institution. In the form of a total institution, the City Hospital housed hundreds of lives for the treatment of leprosy. We used as materials for the construction of this analysis interviews with ex-interns of the institution, images about the institution and newspapers. Narratives appear as a form of teaching, which combined with iconographies, texts and testimonies, become important sources of evidence. We used as a theoretical contribution the authors: Bresciani and Naxara (2004), Bosi (1998), Burke (2017), Goffman (1994), Halbwachs (2003), Meihy and Holanda (1997). The narratives and images point to life experiences of the leprosy, a group that has been silenced by brazilian history. Marituba is revealed by agile memories and tired feet that still leave marks on the stones of the city.

This article presents the results of an inventory on the historical trajectory of health institutions in the city of Belem, taking into account its architecture and the role changes that have suffered over time. These changes are imprinted both on the buildings and the memories of the Belem population, as well as in the absences resulted from the demolitions. The resulting documentation includes institutional documents, old and current photographs, architectural drawings and interviews, which constitute a collection untapped for understanding health care in northern Brazil. The reconstruction of the trajectories of deployment and movement of the institutions studied contributes to the understanding of the process of urban expansion, with occupancy of wetlands (due to the implementation of hospices) and land areas, as prioritized by hygienists policies.

The consumption of ethanol (EtOH) is enhanced particularly in adolescent female pubic. The EtOH intake and intermittent episodic own consumption rate around 3 times per week. The toxic effects of this kind of consumption is especially dangerous over the continuous consumption of EtOH followed due to the high dietary intakes of abstinence, causing major changes in the central nervous system (CNS) maturing in a short time consumption. Considering the epidemiological relevance and the harmful effects of EtOH on the oxidative balance, hormone production and neurotrophin CNS maturing, the aim of this study was to investigate the behavioural, tissue and biochemical responses derived from intermittent and episodic consumption of EtOH in rats in phase from adolescence to adulthood. Wistar female adolescents (n = 80) received by gavage, distilled water or EtOH (3 g/kg/day) for 3 consecutive days per week. The animals were assessed seven and a half hours after the last administration day 1, 4 and 8 weeks of episodes of binge drinking (37, 58 and 86 DPN, respectively), besides, a period of 14 days of abstinence was added after BD 8 (100 DPN) to evaluate the ability to reverse the CNS damage generated on it. The battery of behavioural tests consisted of spontaneous locomotor activity, object recognition, elevated plus maze, test pole, walking beam and rotarod. The animals were sacrificed and blood samples collected for evaluation of corticosterone levels of malondialdehyde, catalase activity, the activity of superoxide dismutase and glutathione content. Therefore, the hippocampus was dissected to quantify the immunocontent BDNF. The administration of EtOH reached average peak blood concentration of 197.4 mg / dL and the period of 7.5 hours after the last administration EtOH in acute binge blood concentration was 0.7 mg / dL. Thus, the animals underwent behavioural tests post-consumer EtOH, not under the drug effect. Consumption of EtOH in binge did not affect weight gain of adolescent animals into adulthood, however, reduced the exploratory locomotor activity, impaired motor coordination, balance and motor learning associated with bradykinesia, as well as loss in the mnemonic process and increased anxiety-like behaviour. These losses were accompanied by hormonal elevation of corticosterone, reduced hippocampal BDNF levels and systemic imbalance in the oxidative balance. Thus, it was possible to identify that the damage found on the similar behaviour to anxiety, short-term memory, bradykinesia and spontaneous locomotor activity appeared from EtOH post-consumption for three consecutive days, however, they showed no recovery or worsening of damage after repeated episodes. In contrast, there was recovery of short-term memory in object recognition task associated with the return of normal levels of BDNF in adulthood. Moreover, it showed worsening in motor learning in young adult phase followed by gradual and partial recovery after prolonged period of drug withdrawal, yet the loss of motor coordination and balance remained in adulthood.

Luiza's house, writings of a return is a work-research in Arts. It started from the reflection and construction of black families visual narratives, in documentary cinema, having my grandmother’s death as a trigger for the process of collecting, collage and dialogue of different traces of memory. For the development of this work-research, I adopt as a discursive basis women-voices, thinkers and artists, namely: Beatriz Nascimento (1989) and her definition of the black body as a body-memory; afrografia by Leda Martins (2021) in dialogue with the escrevivência by Conceição Evaristo (2005), which help me to understand the need and power of using my voice and body – in the field of filmic writing; and the perspective of becoming a subject according to Grada Kilomba (2019), to understand this aspect in the affirmation of myself as a researcher-artist. In a filmic fable, past, present and future are instantiated in the understanding of an ancestry of the diaspora born of escape as freedom, in a constant recreating of paths to be presented in the format of an “artist’s text”, as conceptualized by Rosana Paulino (2011). In this writing, the reflections that gave rise to short films that are part of the research and that aim to contribute to the debate on the Afrocentric episteme in the area of poetic research are shared. The writing of this story is on the walls, in the traces of life, in scattered images, in multiple voices, in threads of memory yet to be stitched together.

The dissertation Centro histórico de Belém: place of history and memory in the classroom, aims to develop a didactic proposition, to teach history from heritage sources, incorporating the use of local historical patrimony. The experiment was carried out at the State School of Elementary and Middle School Rui Barbosa, located at Rua Joaquim Távora, 408 in the neighborhood of Cidade Velha. For this research, two monuments of the Historic Center of Belém were selected: the Castle Fort and the Frei Caetano Brandão Square, as a space for the development of teaching and learning in interface with local history. The result was considered positive, because a great involvement of the students with the proposed tasks was observed, a fact that favored the learning of the same ones. As an educational product of the dissertation, the third chapter presents the pari passu of the didactic preposition that proposes to be used in teaching history in different series and levels of teaching. The didactics of history used foresees a methodological course in which the teacher will be the interlocutor in dialogue with the students, because it is he who will present to the students the sources that will be used, as well as, guide them in the construction of reflections about the historical patrimony , whose main objective is to stimulate the construction of historical knowledge in different spaces of memory. The students, in turn, will be agents of this research, since they will have the opportunity to analyze the sources directly and, at different times, they will be the interlocutors through the answers that they will find in the crossing of the sources to each presented question, whose objective is to approach the students of local history through direct contact with sources and local themes. The project was theoretically reflected in the debates and disciplines in the first group of the Professional Master's Degree in History Teaching, highlighting the Rüsenian didactics in epistemological interaction with the debates about heritage education. The study of the historical center from the perspective of heritage education is the educational product as a result of the master's thesis that seeks to make the dialogue between epistemology and praxis.

In order to understand the construction process of the city of Breves, in Marajó das Florestas, as a regional development hub, focusing on the 20th century, this research presented as a central thesis the assertion that educational experiences in primary and secondary education in the city of Breves , between the 1940s and 1980s, were of great importance for the formation, expansion of urban space and development of the municipality, attracting institutions, public and private services necessary for life in the 20th century to its structure. To arrive at the confirmation of this thesis, we started with the following problematizing questions: How were the city and education, and education and the city historically built in the territory of Breu, in the period from 1943 to 1985? How did the educational and sociocultural practices experienced by residents occur in the expansion and development of urban life? How did the implementation and/or strengthening of primary and secondary education take place in the city? From these guiding questions, the objectives of the research were: to analyze city and education and education and city through written, oral and visual documents, identifying historical-social changes and continuities in the ways of living in Brevense between the 1940s and 1980s; understand the trajectory of formation of the school group from 1943 in the city, the expansion and consolidation of primary education and follow the emergence of secondary education in the context of the 1960s/70s, its contributions to the expansion of the city and the visibility of the city in the regional and state scenario in times of military regime. Based on Social and Cultural History and dialoguing with written, oral and visual documents, the results indicate that Breves became the main educational center of the Marajós das Florestas, from the 1960s onwards with the implementation of the Miguel Bitar State Gym, which joined to primary education, which began in the 1940s with the Dr. Lauro Sodré, Boarding School Evangélico Amazonas and Colégio Santo Agostinho. They also showed that, in the education and city movement, the city became a regional reference in several sectors, and education played a sine qua non role, because through the training of people, multiple development possibilities were opened for Breves to become , nowadays, an educating city.

This dissertation has as main theme the dialogue between Heritage Education and local History in the teaching of History in order to contribute to scientific research on the didactics of History. It seeks paths that can lead students to historical knowledge, in fact, meaningful. To this end, it aimed to demonstrate the importance of the treatment of history teaching with themes of local history, and heritage, considering the important connection that they have with the perspective of the development of the students' identities and sense of belonging, suggesting to present a didactic sequence within these research fields mentioned above. In this sense, mainly oral sources were used, derived from the survey of memories of part of the residents of the district of Icoaraci, and consecutively the recording of photographic images of the spaces and practices listed in these reports of memory. Such practice aimed to place the student as the protagonist of the research, enabling them to apprehend a past from their place that for them was previously silenced, helping them to gain notions of a time full of ruptures and permanences in the present. The production is a means of expanding the debate on heritage teaching, and of research in teaching history from the uses of different memory spaces as a source of analysis. The work suggests the existing debate about the definitions and uses of cultural heritage, their purposes and what projects of society they serve. The material result of this project is configured in a product in a booklet format, systematizing the didactic proposal in heritage teaching carried out here, having as main target teachers of the basic education network, as well as the collection of images produced by the students, in addition to the bank itself of data that organizes the notes on places, customs, local practices from the memory of the elders and students.

This study approaches the environmental perspective with emphasis on rivers in history classes. It aims to analyze the students' perception of the relationship between the Izabelense, Jordão and Caraparu rivers and the history of Santa Izabel do Pará, following the theoretical basis proposed by environmental history. Therefore we use oral history as a methodology to produce the izabelenses environmental memories from the speeches of the old residents, and through these, the students get to know the uses, relationships and social practices experienced between the subjects and the rivers, at the same time in which they analyzed the existing works on the history of the city, so that they understood what these authors said about rivers and nature or if they did not speak about them. So, as a product of this dissertation, was made the e-book Rivers' tales: izabelenses stories, in which the students in their writing and illustration of the stories used the environmental memories collected with the help of the information present in the works to point out the spaces they considered significant for the history of the place and thus write their texts that present new narratives about Santa Izabel do Pará, now including the rivers. With that, the students reflected on the environmental issues and crises existing in the place, leading the production of knowledge and, with the domain of this, developed their environmental awareness, being critical of the problems of the present in relation to water and rivers, being able to exercise the citizenship based on the issues reflected in their history classes.
