The museum is understood here as a space for the production of knowledge, representation and silencing memories. The objective was to analyze the narratives and knowledge produced by students from the 3rd year of high school at the Maranhão Institute of Education, Science and Technology - IEMA, based in Timon MA, from a class visit to the Memorial Museum of Balaiada. From the workshop to prepare students for the class to visit, the visitation and the students' previous knowledge, it was problematized and discussed notions about memory, history, heritage and museum, trying to make the students see the objects as a historical research document and the museum as a space for disputes over memories. As a result of the research, a website was built as a product of the Balaiada Memorial Museum for use by teachers and students, the website has methodological guidelines for teachers, photo gallery, museum history, summary of the whaling and the virtual museum for visitation 360º available in http://www.memorialvirtual.com.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) O museu na era virtual: uma análise sobre os processos comunicativos on-line do Museu da UFPA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-03-30) SOUZA, Lucimery Ribeiro de; LAGE, Danila Gentil Rodriguez Cal; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4593992869253877The objective is to analyze how the museological institution interacts through on-line social networks with its public and how the responsible agents understand this communication process taking into account the social function of museums and the need to promote dialogue with society. To accomplish this reflection, it investigates the Museum of the Federal University of Pará (MUFPA), situated in Belém (PA). As theoretical foundation, it is used the reflections made from literature relating to the Communication (BRAGA; FRANÇA; MARTINO; RECUERO) and the Museology field (CARVALHO; CURY; GUARNIERI; MUCHACHO; SCHEINER). As methodological procedures for data collection, two main techniques are highlighted: the direct observation unsystematic and systematic of social networks Facebook and Instagram appropriated by the Museum of UFPA and interviews from semi-structured scripts with the subjects involved in the production and circulation of the content published in the virtual environments connected to MUFPA. It concludes that the way MUFPA makes use of the studied on-line environments provides expansion and strengthening of the local social ties established virtually, through the practice of posts whose contents portray regional aspects and scenes of the day-by-day of the museum. The maintenance of this practice may provide that the links established in cyberspace are scaled to the physical space of the museum, with potential to reframe the dynamics of presential visitation of the museum circuit in the city of Belém. Analyze the museum as an object allows an extension of the perspectives of Communication and Museology area, and points the necessity for further research that investigate more broadly the museological institutions as a medium, for example, the communication in the experience of the visit to the museum, the dynamic and the museums and its diferente public, among other possibilities.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Percursos formativos da Museologia na Amazônia paraense(Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, 2022) SILVA, Carmen Lucia Souza daWith the objective of celebrating 90 years of instruction in Museology in Brazil, the article presents, with emphasis on the context of the Amazon of Pará, formative paths that contributed to the field of Museology studies in the country, starting in the 19th century. It traces this trajectory through discursivities and practices that constitute an ideal of a museum and its importance, wrapped in teaching and research actions, still in the 19th century Brazilian society. It goes on to visit the some landmarks that would, at the end of the first decade of the 21st century, result in the creation of the first course of Bachelor's Degree in Museology in the North of the country, linked to the Universidade Federal do Pará (UFPA), amid the expansion of Brazilian higher education institutions and the insertion of a national policy to value culture and heritage. It concludes by demonstrating current paths taken by the Museology degree in the region.
