Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Arte e natureza na teoria estética de Theodor W. Adorno(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-08-30) SANTOS, Carlos Henrique Hildebrando dos; BURNETT JUNIOR, Henry MartinThroughout the trajectory of the philosophical writings of Theodor W. Adorno becomes perceptible the different forms with a materialistic and dialectical reflection on nature. We highlight the conference: The idea of the natural history of 1932 and the book entitled Dialectic of enlightenment, written in the decade of 1940. On the other hand, in what would be his last written work and published posthumously in the early 1970s, aesthetic theory, these issues return as a way of thinking of nature as an aesthetic category indispensable for a theory of works of art, the refuge of mimetic behavior. In this way, our objective is inscribed in the perspective of analyzing the beautiful natural and its relation with the works of art, from its late work. Since he takes up not only discussions of his youthful phase but also the considerations of the beautiful natural present in the German aesthetic tradition from the turn of the eighteenth century to the nineteenth, we are drawn in the analysis of this tradition always taking as a starting point the position of Adorno. With this reading, we are enabled to understand how it resigns the beautiful in nature and thus we can launch ourselves in some literary works that the author has been attentive and in what way they enable us to understand the importance of this aesthetic category. Finally, we understand that he was able to give this conception of beauty a new and more important meaning, above all, to his philosophical project inserted in a critical theory of society.Item Desconhecido A cidade e os “bichos”: poder público, sociedade e animais em Belém (1892-1917)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-01-09) VIEIRA, David Durval Jesus; MOURÃO, Leila; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5665064793338456Throughout the nineteenth century, municipal governments banned certain uses, as permanence and circulation of animals in Belém through the “Códigos de Posturas”. Even after Antonio Lemos Stewardship (1897-1911), during the peak of rubber economy and the consolidation of the republican regime, the bans remained, and to it were added measures and practical actions as the creation of a Municipal Guard. This dissertation investigates how the government wanted to discipline the residents of the state capital in the use of animals and results of this, focusing the analysis on three types of bans: mistreating pack animals, letting livestock animals of any kind loose on the streets and squares, and owning dogs without the municipal license. To this end, we investigated sources as “Códigos de Posturas”, “Relatórios dos Intendentes Municipais”, newspapers, literature and images. I analyzed this documentation using concepts such as nature and civilization, in the perspective of the environmental history.Item Desconhecido Conversa de pescador: história e cultura política na praia de Ajuruteua, Pará (1970- 2010)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-12-09) OLIVEIRA, Marcus Vinicius Cunha; HENRIQUE, Márcio Couto; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9096024504515280This thesis researches the fisher(wo)men’s agency facing the socio-environmental impacts of the construction of the PA-458 highway and the geographic changes of the erosion process and advance of the sea on the Ajuruteua’s island. According on the official documents, newspapers, photographies, thesis, dissertations, oral speeches were analysed the actions of residentes (dwellers) fishermen and fisherwomen in relation (face) to the changes caused by the highway and the threats to their ways of life. As a result, we can say that fisher(wo)men, instead of the commom sense usually said (would say), are aware of the transformations of their time and nature, they produce/create adaptation strategies, atualyzing (updating) their ecological knwoledge, they accept or not the inovation of “modernity” according to their business (interests), they create complex relationships with the society around and with nature, they participate in trade network that are not always efficiency, they apropriate laws and languages outside their cultural universe and organize themselves politically to protect their territory and their ways of life according to current legislation.Item Desconhecido Encantados da “fortaleza” insular: D. Sebastião, natureza em uma história cultural na Amazônia(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2007) SILVA, Gerson Santos e; RICCI, Magda Maria de Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4368326880097299When we apeak about popular culture, come to our thought of the commom sense, music, folklore and dance. We rarelly think in literature, but remember the religiosity that envolve all of these firsts. On that conception we don‟t remember to put the history, or better, the history that was produced for the people that made all of these manifestation and ideas. Here we try to think historically the genesis of a religiousness made in the middle of the Amazon region, with perspective of a sight of the people, the one who refers to when we speak about popular culture. From a site of the countryside of this region, São João de Pirabas city, we tried to see how this religiousness, represents in the nature and from it, to link a wider history with a Portuguese king character, D. Sebastian, religions with shamanism caboclo and afro-brasilian. Beyond the efforts of intelectuals and, also, show these religions from the thoughts of the people who made it, become it the most of the time, and answer, an alternative and at the same time part of the christian religion stabilished to our ancestrals that relaborated, as one the build of their history.Item Desconhecido Entre o sertão e a floresta: natureza, cultura e experiências sociais de migrantes cearenses na Amazônia (1889-1916)(2006-06) LACERDA, Franciane GamaThe history of the migrants who left the state of Ceará, Brazil, between 1889 and 1916, and arrived in the state of Pará, in the Brazilian Amazon region, is impossible to dissociate from a comprehension about the perceptions drew about the state of Ceará and the Amazon region themselves. To understand what represented the states of Pará and Ceará throughout this period is essential to perceive the various meanings attributed to the migration process. A fruitful path for understanding this process is to analyse the ways by which the different nature of these two places was understood and described.Item Desconhecido História e natureza: memórias, sobrevivências, famílias e relações de poder no Manguezal (Bragança – PA, 1980 a 1990)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013-09) CAMPOS, Ipojucan DiasThis study concentrated efforts in understanding the relationships of power and consequently the meanings that the workers of the growth of mangroves elaborate of his/her work place, it was like this necessary to interpret the historical senses that the construction of the highway Bragança-Ajuruteua it promoted in the life of the crab collector, once the same transformed existence forms, habits and relationship ways with the nature that there are decades were established. In view of the main diagnosis of the so-called “critical theory” of society – i.e., the one of the interlacing between myth and enlightenment throughout the process of development of the Western civilization – the intention is to demonstrate how childhood, through its specific dynamics, can be seen as a kind of promise that beckons to the possibility of a “right life” amidst the understanding that “there is no right life in the false one”. This reflection should also serve to point out some consequences of the perception of childhood in the Adornian idea of education.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Memória e invenção(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2004-01) CRUZ, Benilton LobatoItem Acesso aberto (Open Access) A natureza como sujeito de direitos no sistema interamericano de direitos humanos(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-03-02) TEIXEIRA, Marcos Wagner Alves; BENATTI, José Heder; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6884704999022918The present work seeks to demonstrate the evolution of the protection of nature, from the first letters of civil and political rights, reaching the decisions of the Inter-American System of Human Rights, especially of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (Court IDH), to verify if in the Jurisprudence more of the Inter-American System of Human Rights, Nature is considered a subject of rights. For this purpose, the jurisprudential analysis of 9 (nine) cases judged by the Inter-American Court from 2001 to 2018, related to traditional communities and environmental protection, was used. The methodology used was qualitative-quantitative, through a literature and document review, as well as an empirical study of the IDH Court jurisprudence. Initially, we sought to carry out an analysis of the ethics of Nature, thus contributing to it from an anthropocentric, biocentric and ecocentric perspective, and the points of contact between the various theories. Next, we began to study the evolution of constitutionalism in Latin America, with emphasis on the constitutions of Ecuador and Bolivia, placing Nature on another level by protecting it constitutionally and legally as a subject of law. When investigating the protection of the environment in the international scenario, more specifically in the Inter-American System of Human Rights, we analyzed Advisory Opinion nº 23/2017, since it establishes parameters for the System in environmental protection. We verified that, in a way, the protection of nature is also present in the decisions of the Inter-American Court, not by chance, the environmental preservation, even in a reflexive way, started to have shelter in the System, in the protection of the indigenous territories and of traditional communities. In view of the interrelation of these with tangible and intangible assets, to conclude that despite Advisory Opinion No. 23/2017 it was established that the natural path would be for Nature to recognize the status of subject of rights, the decisions do not conclude from this way, bringing it closer to an anthropocentric vision with socioenvironmental concerns.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) “No meu sangue corre as águas desse mar”: o movimento do bloco Pretinhos do Mangue, Curuçá-PA, Amazônia(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-06-07) FERREIRA, Marcus dos Reis; FURTADO, Lourdes de Fátima Gonçalves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1828475659148260; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-5243-4607; VILLACORTA, Gisela Macambira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4673875521234184This research seeks to discuss about the idea of nature produced by the playful people from the “Pretinhos do Mangue” block, in Curuçá County-Region of the Salgado Paraense. To carry out this discussion, I start with the theoretical guidelines of Environmental History (ARNOLD, 2000; PÁDUA, 2010; WORSTER, 2015) and Anthropology (CSORDAS, 2008; INGOLD, 2015). And, in this perspective, ethnography was used as a way to experience the ways of dwell in the environment, which are present in the block parade, at Carnival (FABIAN, 2013; SALDI; WAGNER, 2013; PEIRANO, 2014; INGOLD, 2015). During this period, the interlocutors aim to present the main non-humans who inhabit the city environment, and, as well, to enunciate the day by day of the artisanal fisherman. And these perceptual experiences of the “salgado” from Pará are materialized through their allegories: the “Caranguejo”, the “Guará”, the “Ostra” and the “Barraca do Avoado”. However, it is the use of “mud” (“tijuco” and “tabatinga”) that has attracted the most attention from the “playful”, because for them the mud-in-body manifests the “ecological” experience and the idea of “nature preservation". In this context, the media began to publicize this experience with the mangrove swamp, which started to promote more and more tourists to participate in the block. With that, it is noticed that the playful-curuçaenses seek to take the life of the "salgado" paraense to their parade, in order to "show" this experience to "all" who visit the Curuçá Carnival. Thus, the mud of the mangrove swamp and the allegories are not simply accessories used by the playful-curuçaenses, since they present their ideas of nature, at the “Pretinhos do Mangue” parade.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Percepção visual da cidade: iconografias da natureza urbana de Belém (1808 – 1908)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-01-07) PEREIRA, Rosa Claudia Cerqueira; KOSSOY, Boris; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0725242773358250; SARGES, Maria de Nazaré dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2076421409418420This study proposes an analysis of urban iconography of Belém, produced during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The thesis aims to analyze the representation of nature in Belém, specifically in the years 1808 to 1908. The initial commitment of the thesis concentrated on researching the various types of iconography of Belém during the nineteenth century. The questions that sought to highlight deal on how travelers seized the city in his visit to Belém, both from a narrative point of view as the visual until the year 1890. From then also identify how governments have promoted the city beyond the Amazon region. Brazilian nature It is observed that came to be represented, from the nineteenth century, through written and iconographic, that thanks to the influence of scientism and romantic artistic sensibility that permeated the knowledge of the country. The romantic sensibility made the relationship between science and esthetic to apprehend and represent nature in an overall view, inaugurating a new conception of landscape and trying to "invent" and view an urbane nature, which is the main theme of this study; is the phenomenon of urbanization, which was registere, especially by means of photography. In this type of photos, nature appears domesticated, adapted to urban design, its artful and geometric shape is valued. Urban photography from the late nineteenth century reintroduces the "ideal beauty" in the nature of the images ordered on the model of French gardens, English and Italian From assumption that contemplation of nature is adapted to the reality of the Amazon region, although they were present models from Europe. The perception of nature in the Amazon the second half of the nineteenth century, the influence of new ways of conceiving the nature were designed to cities in the redesign of spaces to form the green area, especially in Belém.. To think historically the representation of nature is to reflect on its appropriation by human action while different individuals and social groups circulated and left their specific marks in places built from a domesticated nature in the urban landscape.
