Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Consequências da construção da Usina Hidrelétrica de Belo Monte para o saneamento básico na cidade de Altamira(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-02-27) MARTINS, Beatriz da Silva; JOHANSEN, Igor Cavallini; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8675081294684590; HTTPS://ORCID.ORG/0000-0002-5360-3740; CALVI, Miquéias Freitas; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1925851965991165; http://orcid.org/0000-0002-9409-9915The implementation of the Belo Monte Hydroelectric Power Plant was tied to compensation and social and environmental conditions, with the universalization of basic sanitation in the city of Altamira, in the state of Pará, being the highlight of this study. The city's physical, social, cultural and environmental space has changed as a result of the implementation of this project. The aim of this research was to investigate and describe the expansion of basic sanitation services – that is, water supply, collection and treatment of domestic sewage, and solid waste – in the city of Altamira between 2010 and 2022. The analyses used secondary data on basic sanitation obtained from the 2010 Demographic Census and primary data collected in a survey applied to 500 households in the city of Altamira in 2022. A documentation analysis was also carried out of the Basic Environmental Project for the Belo Monte Hydroelectric Power Plant and the Altamira Integrated Municipal Basic Sanitation Plan. A review of the literature related to the problem was also carried out. Despite the significant improvements and positive results for the environment and public health, it was observed that the condition of universalization of basic sanitation services in the city of Altamira was not achieved. The governance of these services has encountered obstacles between the municipality and the Belo Monte developer, in the context of the implementation, expansion and transfer of services. With regard to the problems associated with governance, we would highlight the discussion about who would be responsible for carrying out the intra-household water and sewage connections, the population's historical dissatisfaction with the water supply services, the residents' resistance to accepting the intra-household water and sewage connections and the flaws in the planning of the executive project. These implications substantially affected the capacity to expand and the quality of these basic services to the population of the city of Altamira.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Educação ambiental e prática pedagógica: estratégias para o uso racional da água em uma escola pública do município de Santo Antônio do Tauá/Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-12-07) BOUTH, Raimundo Nonato de Souza; ARAUJO, Maria Ludetana; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0282298023451578Environmental Education and its pedagogical practices, when worked in an interdisciplinary way and based on critical macro trends, are mechanisms indicated to lead the school community to think and propose effective solutions to problems that are affecting or that will affect the availability of water, such as scarcity, waste and pollution. This research was developed in the only full-time state high school, in the municipality of Santo Antônio do Tauá, in Pará, and was based on the following question: How can Environmental Education and its pedagogical practices be instruments for rational use of water in the municipality of Santo Antônio do Tauá? Regarding the objectives, the research methodology is descriptive, when its approach is qualitative, using technical bibliographic and documentary procedures supported by data collection through a mixed questionnaire applied to 17 teachers who work with 1st year high school classes. full time, in addition to field research. The results obtained indicate a lack of knowledge on the part of the target audience about the macrotrends of Environmental Education and a lack of interdisciplinary pedagogical practices in Environmental Education, consequently without materiality to generate sustainable and critical attitudes in the school community about problems related to water and the need of its rational use. To seek improvements and organization in pedagogical practice during Environmental Education classes, in particular, when approaching the object of knowledge water and its context in SDG 6, an educational product was created based on a Didactic Sequence (SD) entitled “If It’s water, I’ll take care of it”, based on the theory of problematization through the Arco de Marguerez, a strategy validated by teachers and included in the Pedagogical Political Project to be a constant pedagogical practice at school.
