Description and comparative morphological notes of female terminalia of species of Peckia Robienau-Desvoidy, 1830 (Diptera, Sarcophagidae) from the Brazilian Amazon. In order to contribute and allow specific identification of female of the genus Peckia, the terminalia of 15 species that occurs in Brasilian Amazon are described, illustrated and an identification key to females is given. Besides gena color and the presence of setulae in gena and calypter, the shape of spermathecae and tergite 6 can also be used in the subgenus determination. The sternites 6, 7 and 8, the position of spiracle 6 and the microtrichosity of tergite 6 reveled important to specific identification. The tergite 8 is present only in the species Peckia (Pattonella) intermutans (Walker, 1861). The shape of vaginal plate, a structure present only in four species of subgenus Peckia, differs in shape and can be used to characterize these species. Therefore, a combined analysis of these features of female terminalia is necessary in the species determinationof the females of Peckia. Peckia (Peckia) hilifera (Aldrich, 1916) is recorded for the first time from Brazil.

A new species and new records of Oxysarcodexia Townsend (Diptera: Sarcophagidae) from Brazil
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-12) CARVALHO-FILHO, Fernando da Silva; SOUSA, José Roberto Pereira de; ESPOSITO, Maria Cristina
Oxysarcodexia cocais sp. nov. from Brazil is described and illustrated based on male specimens collected in a babassu palm forest in the state of Maranhão. The remarkable elongated surstylus (as long as cercus) and U-shaped male sternite 5 distinguishes the new species from other species in the genus. In addition, Oxysarcodexia nitida Soares & Mello-Patiu, 2010 is recorded for the first time from Brazil, and Oxysarcodexia adunca Lopes, 1975 is a new record from the Brazilian Amazon

On the taxonomic status of Nephochaetopteryx calida (Wiedemann) (Diptera, Sarcophagidae)
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013-06) CARVALHO FILHO, Fernando da Silva; ESPOSITO, Maria Cristina; MELLO-PATIU, Cátia Antunes de
On the taxonomic status of Nephochaetopteryx calida (Wiedemann) (Diptera, Sarcophagidae). Based on analysis of the holotype of Nephochaetopteryx calida (Wiedemann) it was concluded that this species does not belong to Nephochaetopteryx. The holotype is a female partly damaged and it was not possible to place it in one of Sarcophaginae genera, remaining as Sarcophaga calida Wiedemann, 1830, incertae sedis.

Revisão taxonômica e filogenia das espécies do gênero Nephochaetopteryx Townsend, 1934 (Diptera: Sarcophagidae)
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-08-20) CARVALHO FILHO, Fernando da Silva; MELLO-PATIU, Cátia Antunes de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6111953763967066; ESPOSITO, Maria Cristina; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2112497575917273
Nephochaetopteryx Townsend, 1934 is a genus of flies of the family Sarcophagidae, tribe Sarothromyiini, predominately Neotropical, with only one Nearctic species. This genus comprises small species (4–7.3 mm), mainly characterized by vein R1 fully setose dorsally, males with proclinate orbital bristles, and male mid femur with ctenidium. In addition, some species has wing fumose between apical part of vein R2+3 and C. The taxonomic review of the genus resulted in 34 valid species, being seven new species to science. Nephochaetopteryx calida does not belong to the genus, N. shannoni is junior synonymy of N. flavipalpis, and N. linharensis a junior synonymy of N. pallidifacies. A key to males of all described species (except for N. juquiana) is showed, as well as detailed illustrations of terminalia and sternite 5 of males. In addition, it is proposed a hypothesis of the phylogenetic relationships to the genus, based on 24 external morphological characters of adult males, mainly from terminalia. Were utilized 32 terminal taxa, being 29 of Nephochaetopteryx. The monophyly of genus is corroborated, and a new synapomorphy is proposed within the Sarothromyiini context: sternite 5 of male with median lobule. Based on the phylogenetic analyses, the genus is divided in four species group: angustifrons, biculcita, cyaneiventris and pallidiventris. The angustifrons group is the sister group of the clade that comprises the remaining species.
