O parque natural municipal em Concórdia do Pará: uma proposta de sustentabilidade ambiental

This work aims to study the possibilities of creating a Municipal Natural Park - MNP as a Municipal Conservation Unit taking as reference the city of Concórdia do Pará. Initially, from the bibliographical research, it sought to show the importance of creating Conservation Units in Brazil and worldwide, highlighting among these areas the natural parks aiming to apprehend the main characteristics of these units. For this purpose, it is discussed the absence or not of some of the conditions recommended for its implantation, such as: what legislation rules, the advantages and disadvantages of implanting a municipal park and the human resources necessary for the operationalization of the park. It was found that there is a lot to be done to create a Municipal Natural Park - MNP, for the following reasons: absence of qualified professionals in the Municipal Secretary of Environment to carry out surveys necessary to identify the species of fauna and flora, as well as to identify the real potential of park areas or other categories of Conservation Unit. It was proved the need of a wide structure from the Municipal Secretary of Environment to achieve the creation of the Municipal Natural Park - MNP or any other Conservation Unit where the area has the potential to be allocated. The creation of a Municipal Natural Park - MNP is evidenced in the Municipal Master Plan 2019, as a perspective for its effectiveness, its creation is viable after the adjustments already mentioned to meet the standards of the National System of Conservation Units - NSCU. In view of this diagnosis, a decree and a technical note were elaborated highlighting the stages required for implementation, which will contribute to what may be the first Natural Park in the City of Concórdia do Pará.
