This dissertation analyzes the historical processes of social, political and economic formation of the fishermen colony of Imperatriz Zone 29 (CPI Z-29), in the State of Maranhao. First, the theoretical base underlying social movements in general is introduced, followed by the origin and organizational skills of the unionized fishermen, since the colonies status is similar of that of an union. The evolution of the fishermen movement in the south of Maranhao is examined. This is the area where the city of Imperatriz is located, corresponding to Z-29 Colony. The fishermens achievements, mainly regarding public policies which favor the social movement, are also analyzed. Upon the reconstitution of historical and economic facts, we studied not only the CPI Z-29, which was established by the end of the 70s more precisely in 1978, when it was created but we also examined the production cycles which developed over the years, in Imperatriz. The fishermens modus vivendi was thoroughly analyzed, covering their habits, beliefs, and practices before and after their legal association, aiming at the organization and growth of an important, but often forgotten class. Along with the study of the foundation of the movement and the organizational abilities of the fishermen, the changes in the economic, political, cultural, environmental, and social aspects caused by the transformations in the organizational structure were also analyzed. Such aspects were intensified by the social projects implemented and encouraged by the Federal Government. Finally, we discuss the political visibility of the fishermen, as well as their participation in the decision making process at the municipal level, which is one of the many achievements of the CPI Z-29, since its foundation.

Considering the artisanal landing sites in the Amazon estuary, Mosqueiro Island, located in the south of the Bay of Marajó, is commercially very important and, as in nearby loading terminal (Miramar), the imminence of an environmental disaster is real. However, there is no detailed information on the fishery and the use of commercially important species, as Gilded catfish (Brachyplatystoma rousseauxii) in the region. With the objective of describing the fishing activity and the use of the region by the Gilded catfish, landings were monitored in Cajueiros Bridge (Mosqueiro) from December 2005 to November 2006. Moreover, the fishery boats were recorded using specialized log-books and trained personnel from the community. The index of relative abundance CPUE (kg/trip) was used to identify the most important species and their catch period, seasonality of the fleet, fishing sites and gross revenue. Considering the Gilded catfish, 30 individuals were obtained from commercial fishery in Mosqueiro from December 2005 to August 2006 in a bimensal basis. Individuals were weighted, measured and gonads were collected with the objective of evaluating the use of the region for reproduction. It was registered 128 fishing boats and Barcos de pequeno porte dominated followed by Canoas motorizadas. Technological differences between boats categories were observed, except in relation to boat length, mean monthly production and storage capacity. Barcos de médio porte present a greater crew and fishing days but they carry out less trips by month in relation to the others categories. Gill nets are mostly used in the area, and the mesh most frequently employed are 50, 60 e 70 mm (streched mesh size). Barcos de médio porte have larger nets when compared to others categories. The main species captured in the region are Silver croaker (Plagioscion squamosissimus), Pacora (Plagioscion surinamensis), Gilded catfish (Brachyplatystoma rousseauxii) and Yellowfin river pellona (Pellona spp.). Fleet from Cajueiros bridge fish mainly in fishing sites near the island during the catch period of the main species (May to December) moving to Marudá region during the offpeak season (January to April) following, mainly, the schools of Gilded catfish. Periods of maximum abundance was the first and the forth trimester for Canoas motorizadas and Barcos de pequeno porte respectively. The fishing sites Ponta Fina and Areia do Cotijuba showed the largest annual relative abundance with the main catch of Gilded catfish and Pacora, respectively. Gilded catfish was regular during the whole period with highest abundance in Ponta Fina and December. Pacora highest abundance was recorded in Marudá (98 kg/trip) and September. Yellowfin river pellona occurred mainly in Enseada and in June. In Mosqueiros Island, fish annual production was estimated in approximately 1.000 tons, leading to a gross revenue of R$ 3 million. Barcos de pequeno porte contributed to 42% of the total production and with 61% of the gross revenue. Silver croaker contributed to 26% of total production and Gilded catfish with 35% of the gross revenue. This species was considered the most valuable fish resource in the area. Sampled individuals measured from 27 to 100 cm total length, and individuals of 50 to 60 cm dominated. Sexual proportion favored females (1:2,2 male:female) which were most numerous for most length classes and months, except February. For this species, the area is not used for breeding but for nursery and feeding purposes. In the situation of an environmental disaster a waste of approximately 1.000 tons and R$ 3 millions for the fishery industry in Mosqueiros Island can be reported. Moreover, an accident in the area could also affect the young population of Gilded catfish causing harmful effects in a long term for catch and economy of the area.

Artisanal fisheries of the Xingu River basin in Brazilian Amazon
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-08) NAHUM, Victoria Judith Isaac; ALMEIDA, Morgana Carvalho de; CRUZ, Rivetla Edipo Araujo; NUNES, José Leocyvan Gomes
The present study characterises the commercial fisheries of the basin of the Xingu River, a major tributary of the Amazon River, between the towns of Gurupá (at the mouth of the Amazon) and São Félix do Xingu. Between April, 2012, and March, 2014, a total of 23,939 fishing trips were recorded, yielding a total production of 1,484 tons of fish, harvested by almost three thousand fishers. The analysis of the catches emphasizes the small-scale and artisanal nature of the region’s fisheries, with emphasis on the contribution of the motorised canoes powered by “long-tail” outboard motors. Larger motorboats operate only at the mouth of the Xingu and on the Amazon. Peacock bass (Cichla spp.), croakers (Plagioscion spp.), pacu (a group containing numerous serrasalmid species), aracu (various anostomids), and curimatã (Prochilodus nigricans) together contributed more than 60% of the total catch. Mean catch per unit effort was 18 kg/fisher–1.day–1, which varied among fishing methods (type of vessel and fishing equipment used), river sections, and time of the year. In most cases, yields varied little between years (2012 and 2013). The technical database provided by this study constitutes an important resource for the regulation of the region’s fisheries, as well as for the evaluation of future changes resulting from the construction of the Belo Monte dam on the Xingu River.

Atividade pesqueira e organização social: o caso das comunidades Igarapé Grande, João Pilatos e Cajueiro
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-08-02) VIANA, Janise Maria Monteiro Rodrigues; BASTOS, Rodolpho Zahluth; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0697476638482653; MORAES, Sérgio Cardoso de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4568311568729454
This study aims to examine how fishing activity is structured and is related to the processes of social organization existing in Amazonian island communities, specifically seeking to understand if social organizations related to fishing activity are developing their social, political and economic role starting from with the associated relationship and society. For this purpose, the communities of Igarapé Grande and João Pilatos were located on João Pilatos Island and the Cajueiro community, located on Santa Rosa Island, an island region of the municipality of Ananindeua (Pa). These communities were selected because they are: considered the oldest, have the largest number of inhabitants and shelter multiple social organizations that work with fishing workers. As far as the organizations in these territories are concerned, the present research is focused on the following: the Association of Rural Igarapé Grande Residents and Small Producers - AMPPRIG, Association of Artisanal Fishermen, Aquaculture, Seafood and Rural Producers of the Ananindeua Islands - APAAPRIAN , Association of Residents and Small Rural Producers of João Pilatos - AMPPRJP and the Fishermen's Colony of the municipality to Z-93, since these institutions are related to the structuring and development of the fishing activity in the municipality. The literature that underlies the research runs through the concepts of community, social organization, associativism, social movements and fishing activity. Studies on the Amazon and the characteristics of artisanal fishing are also debated and studied in depth. A case study of a qualitative nature was carried out, using Narrative Research as a methodological tool. The data and information presented here were collected in the field through semi estructured interviews, observations, documentary analyzes, field notes, photographic and audiovisual records, subsidized by the cited bibliographic review. It is concluded that social organizations constitute a strategic force capable of providing better local living conditions for people, whether in rural areas or in urban centers, enabling greater social participation and closer ties between society and public power, under all their dimensions, and these types of organizations can be inserted as an alternative of local development and social sustainability. However, the organizations object of this study point to the need for structuring and organizational so that they can benefit not only the associated fishermen, but also contribute to the strengthening of the category through support with the Colony. The results presented make possible repercussions both in the theoretical field and in the practical field, since the surveys related to social organizations and fishing activity in the municipality of Ananindeua are scarce, and these studies may eventually contribute to the objectives and actions of these social representations.

Bathymetric trends of northeastern Brazilian snappers (Pisces, Lutjanidae): implications for the reef fishery dynamic
(2005-09) FRÉDOU, Thierry; FERREIRA, Beatrice Padovani
The investigation of bathymetric distribution of five snappers caught along the Brazilian Northeastern coast by artisanal fleets through the analysis of the catch composition and relative abundance (CPUE) showed that, on the overall, fished mean size increased along depth and that particular species dominated the catch according to the depth strata. Mutton snapper, L. analis, yellowtail snapper, L. chrysurus, and dog snapper, L. jocu were mainly caught at intermediate depth (20-80m) whereas lane snapper, L. synagris, and silk snapper, L. vivanus, inhabit respectively shallow (<20m) and deep (>80 m) waters. Each fleet category exploited preferentially a particular combination of species and their size range. The fleet dynamic of the Northeast Brazil is technologically heterogeneous and determines the catch composition. Geographical distribution of the fishery and technical interaction between fleets and gears should be considered by the management of these species in order to maintain the sustainability of the stock and to guarantee the continuance of the resource.

This paper initially provides information about the extraction potential of productive mangroves in the municipalities of Quatipuru and Bragança, as well as the socioeconomic characterization of the extractive professionals (crabbers) of this resource. Parallel to the information generated in the mangroves and communities interviewed in Quatipuru and Bragança, this study also seeks to contextualize the extractive activity of the mangrove crab-uçá around the Pará coast, through information obtained by the collection and analysis of data in different mangrove municipalities of Pará’s coast, characterizing the productive activity of this important resource extraction communities. The information collection occurred in the period between 2010-2012, where the extractive potential was examined, in the mangroves of Bragança and Quatipuru confirming these locations as potentially producing regions, with a density of 5.01 ± 1.09 ind/m2 in the Quatipuru magrove and 6.5 ± 1.0 ind/m2 in the Bragança mangrove with an immediate extraction potential (IEP) of 80.91 % in Quatipuru and 86.23 % in Bragança. Concerning extractive activity in the major communities in the municipalities of Quatipuru and Bragança, the profile of crabbers was characterized by male dominated, low education, with at least 16 years of activity for most in Quatipuru and more than 20 years for most of the interviewed in the communities of Bragança. The primary capture technique used is the "braceamento" with the aid of hook in both locations, where they capture on average 51-100 units / day in Quatipuru and 101-150 in Braganca, where the middleman is the main destination of the product for the sites investigated. The data obtained from the Pará coastal reveal that out of all the mangroves studied, the municipality of Viseu was highlighted as an important forest region of Pará, with a density of 4.23 ± 1.40 ind/m2, CPUE 46.6 (crabs / man / hour) and 226.8 ± 113.1 units captured by crabber/day, however , it is important to notice that this municipality had the lowest average price per crab (R$0.18 ± 0,05) among all communities of the municipalities visited. The importance of this resource for the communities in the coastal Pará is clear and requires regulatory actions that support exploration with sustainability, as well as encouraging these professionals of artisanal fisheries through actions of to recover their citizenship.

This study investigates the artificial lake of the Tucuruí/PA hydroelectric power plant. The main problem is the memory about access and use of fishing resources. Some of the research questions are: does knowledge about the ecosystem prior to the construction of the reservoir allow the confrontation of the local population, that is, the artisan fishermen in relation to the highly modified environment? To what extent knowledge about water resources are incorporated to new knowledge so that different strategies of access and use of fishing resources are created? Which socioenvironmental changes interfere in the collective memory? With these questions in mind, the study aims to identify and analyze collective memory taking into consideration the changes in the natural environment due to the strong impacts of the Tucuruí/PA hydroelectric power plant, in order to identify and analyze the dynamic between the old actors (native) and new (immigrants) and possible scenarios of conflict involving artisanal fishing. The methodology include the choice of 3 of the main fish landing ports (Santa Rosa, Polo Pesqueiro and Porto do Onze) and the use of quanti-qualitative techniques and the application of 80 questionnaires and 50 semi-structured interviews as well as the gathering of documental and bibliographic information prior to the creation of the lake. The theoretical reference refers to society and nature, collective memory and artisanal fishing. The results highlight the dimension of the socioenvironmental impact caused, marked in the collective memory that allows remembering the environment before the construction of the dam (Tocantins river), in the process of confronting the new environment (artificial lake) that allows artisanal fishing in another territory, now (re) constructed by people´s collective memory. The study concludes that the way of living of these fishermen in face of the changes, which involve the transformation of a river into a lake, represents a rupture in their knowledge and in their relation with nature. Collective memory represents an essential tool for continuity, although uncertain, as it links past and present in the reconstruction of a new fishing territory.

(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-03-21) NASCIMENTO, Anael Souza; BARROS, Flávio Bezerra; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4706140805254262
This research was committed to study the ways of capturing and preparing fisheries resources, as well as the relationship of the quilombola community of Mangueiras in Salvaterra - Ilha do Marajó - PA with food. I started from the cultural dimensions in the context of traditional knowledge, the ways to obtain, prepare, pack and consume food of fishery origin in the quilombo. The field research took place in 2019 and the main instruments of the methodology employed were open interviews, semi-structured interviews, participant observation, tours guided by local fishermen, free listing technique and ethnophotography. The results achieved demonstrated that fishermen and fisherwomen maintain a constant dialogue of knowledge, acquired through daily contact with fish and the river from the early stages of life. Traditional knowledge reveals much of the quilombo's identity and culture, a territory dominated by social actors with expertise in fish species, differentiating them by their habitat, food preferences and specific behaviors, including knowledge about climatic and lunar aspects that influence the dynamics of fishing in the region. Fishing resources have proved to be important for the preparation of foods such as fried, roasted and boiled fish, snail mujica, snail pie, coconut milk crab, turkey stew. However, we also observed an increase in processed foods, caused by a greater relationship with the city and access to social programs of the Brazilian federal government. Even with all the changes that have taken place, it is undeniable that the way food is prepared is still maintained today as a way of valuing culture and resistance. Thus, food choices are directly influenced by environmental characteristics, in addition to individual preferences linked to quilombo social and cultural issues. Taboos play an important role and directly influence the choices of target species.

The Amazon estuary extends along the north-eastern South America, starting from the Maranhão, extending into the Oyapock River at the northern end of the State of Amapá. It is a region where there is much activity takes place industrial and artisanal fishing. This estuary is the scene of intense fishing activity, this study aims to conduct a participatory diagnosis among the fishermen of the area of salt in the city of Salinópolis-PA, but precisely in the village of Cuiarana. They are fishermen whose concepts are varied, in practice small-scale fishing and being self-employed or with respect to work in partnerships with neighbors or relatives, providing little capital and small production. Employing technologies and methodologies to capture with simple technologies, but no less complex. They act in the estuary and even today many do not participate in public policy programs that are effectively targeted to these fishermen. We realize today that the government has long sought an efficient administrative system of fishing. Despite this order, remain the uncertainties of the systematic action in the development of effective targets in the medium and long-term resolution of problems in Para fisheries, particularly the fishermen. The object of this research is to develop a participatory diagnosis based on previous studies on the causes of the decline of fish, environmental degradation, the need for public policies in education on the coast of Para, in particular in the village of Cuiarana in Salinópolis. This diagnosis intends to discuss with local stakeholders, their representativeness and local government, it’s social, environmental and economic, due to the difficulty of local fisheries. To achieve these purposes, I'm doing literature reviews and evaluations of research in areas adjacent to this study. I want to discuss and get answers from the community about the current social, economic, educational and environmental these fishermen. The surveying of cultural and historical facts about the beginnings of its settlement, as well as qualitative and quantitative survey of fish species caught in the periods during and between harvests, comparing their market value and its economic implications for fishermen. To this end, we used techniques based on interviews, meetings, discussions, questionnaires and applications of methods of participatory strategic planning to discuss with the community: a) major implications sites identified as factors reducing fish in the region, b) the removal of fish more captured during crop harvests and c) the production and manufacture of pre-prepared leaflets and educational brochures with information on: the social, economic, environmental and fishing d) provide meetings and discussions systemic character information on the issues fisheries, environment, culture, education, health, safety and leisure, e) strengthen the fishing community through the provision of news, using the local community radio station in order to provide clarification most significant and productive for fishing, the period closure of the protection of wetlands, the use of preventive measures, etc.. f) point out and discuss with the riverine, proposes solutions to combat or minimize the decline in fish stocks local g) assist in the development of community projects, in pursuit of public policy for the purpose of improving the quality of life and the inclusion of such fishermen and their families. Thus, through technical information, the community can better discuss activities such as conservation of fish, protection of fish stocks, protection and minimize the use of mangroves, prevent or minimize fires, and combat illiteracy.

The article discusses the results of research conducted by the SocioEnvironmental Studies Coastal Group of the Federal University of Pará, Brazil – UFPA in various communities of traditional populations in the region of the Marine Extractive Reserve Caeté Taperaçu-Bragança-PA. It highlights how the sexual division of labor and access to paid work, in particular the treatment of crabs, works to update the socio-historical persistence of gender inequalities. Interesting enough, the reflection of this stability is based on the changes that have operated on the relations between men and women: the construction of strategic flexibilities in the sense of rebuilding of practices and values that, simultaneously, maintain the gender system. The inflexibility of the hierarchical and socially asymmetrical representations are anchored in the reproductive capacity of women.

(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016) SARAIVA, Luis Junior Costa; CORRÊA, Jéssica do Socorro Leite
This paper arises from the field research with artisanal fishermen in the village of Castelo, located in the town of Bragança-PA, from June 2015 to March 2016. Our intention was to understand the relationship of shrimp fishermen in the region and its trade flow. During the research, we faced other possibilities and wishes of those social actors, and the present work was being molded within its objectives as we approached, in a wider way, the reality of fishing, now not only directed to the catch of white shrimp, but with the desire to understand the dynamics of its space/time organization and also the tensions that surround the fishing environment, not only in local aspects, but in national ones, with a direct impact on the artisanal fishermen lives. Under this perspective, this paper will emphasize the temporal and spatial dynamics of fishermen who increasingly experience economic and political impacts related to fishing. Thus, our approach with artisanal fishermen has allowed moments of reflection, not only about the fishing itself, but about environmental issues in the context of the tensions experienced in the Resex.

Handmade fishing in the North Brazilian Coast is one of the main economic activities of the region. This Study aims to analyze the techniques of estuary artisanal fishing from Vigia-PA, with an emphasis on transformations and reframing of artisanal fishing and the traditional knowledge of the local community. This study points to the main fishing gear used in the microregion of Salgado Paraense, and its importance to the local, regional and national scenario. Is considered the contribution of the artisanal fisherman’s traditional knowledge, through its readjustments to the territorial geography of the constantly changing place. It shows the importance of artisanal fishing, the implication of industrial fishing to the category and its tensions. Thus, it is proposed to include the knowledge of artisanal fishermen in public policies for fishing in the region, given their deep knowledge of the activity, in addition to allowing the approximation between academic knowledge and traditional knowledge, or know-how of local people. To this end, it was sought to carry out bibliographic surveys and theoretical research on the topic. From the methodology, 300 forms and semi-structured interviews were applied, discourse analysis, field research with local subjects, with questions regarding fishing, its transformations, permanences and perspectives. Ahead, tables, graphs and images were produced collaboratively, taking into account the notes of artisanal fishermen, their reflections, narratives, knowledge and perceptions about their own practice. Finally, some categories were essential for the research, such as: artisanal fishing, traditional knowledge, know-how and techniques. Some authors were fundamental, such as: Ramalho (2011, 2012, 2014), Diegues (1983, 1988, 2001, 2004), Cunha (1993, 2000, 2004), Furtado (1987, 1990, 2001) e Isaac (1998, 2003, 2006). In this way, the translation of the knowledge of the estuarine artisanal fishermen was sought as a way to help future proposals for studies and public policies for the micro-region of the Salgado Paraense.

The spatial mobility is inherent in the conduct of fishing in the Amazon. It takes place as a strategy of survival for the reproduction of the craft as a fisherman social category, in response to the shortage of fish, water pollution and the conflicts between artisanal fisheries and industry. In that study, seeks to identify the different types of mobility space held by artisanal fishermen community of Cubatão, located in the District Icoaraci. Fishermen carry out fishing in various scales. As strategic movable keep up, and ensure their reproduction, the fisherman uses the partnership to join the crew composition and distribution of fishery product. For simple efetivam technology have a day of intense work to escape the competitiveness with the fishing industry. How can not accumulate capital to remain low socio-economic levels. If you do not change the condition of the fisheries sector, the situation does not alter the fisherman, leading him to repeatedly perform the mobility, and even migration to other locations that can deliver the fishing, or change of occupancy.

The research area of this dissertation is Marudá, located in the municipality of Marapanim/PA, within the Salgado Paraense microregion, and part of the Mestre Lucindo Marine Extractive Reserve, established in 2014. It is important to highlight that studying the universe of artisanal fishing is complex, as it involves various variables marked by social indicators, such as environmental issues, climate, gender, education, public health, and others. However, given the variables presented by the field of research in which I work, this study aims to highlight, through my participant observation and ethnography conducted between 2018 and 2024, the dynamics observed in the social relationships surrounding the fishing universe in Marudá. During fieldwork, many developments emerged from the observed evidence, opening paths for future projects and research. In this context, tradition and modernity constantly intertwine in the fishing lifestyle of the region's inhabitants, provoking both changes and continuities, especially regarding what fishing activity represents for them. Thus, another objective is to emphasize, based on my ethnographic research, what artisanal fishing currently represents for the sons and daughters of Marudá, considering that this relationship is no longer the same as it was in past decades of the 20th century, as changes and continuities occur constantly, where fishing activity was more intense. Other aspects addressed also include issues related to tourism, a category that has been transforming the way of life of the residents. Since the construction of the first roads and highways that connected and still connect Marudá/PA to the large and medium-sized urban and commercial centers of the State of Pará, such as the municipalities of Belém and Castanhal, the region has received many tourists, especially during vacation periods and holidays, thus causing some impacts. Currently, other means of communication have been transforming social relationships around the universe of artisanal fishing in the locality, such as internet access, as the digital medium has become integrated into everyday life, facilitating communication and mobilization of social categories, both internal and external, that is, beyond the territorial boundaries that make up the district of Marudá and Marapanim. In this way, the concepts of changes and continuities will metaphorically serve as the oars that will help me navigate the tides of this dissertation. It is also important to note that this research was conducted in a pandemic context, which generated many difficulties for fieldwork, as well as demands arising from the aftereffects of COVID-19.

(2012-03) SILVA, Bianca Bentes da; ISAAC, Victoria Judith; ESPÍRITO SANTO, Roberto Vilhena do; FRÉDOU, Thierry; ALMEIDA, Morgana Carvalho de; MOURÃO, Keila Renata Moreira; FRÉDOU, Flávia Lucena
Artisanal fishing on the northern coast of Brazil is characterized by a set of different fishery modalities. Using a multidisciplinary approach, 20 fishery production systems were identified, with distinct characteristics regarding technology and purpose. The characteristics of each system were classified into five dimensions (ecological, economic, social, technological and political). Multidimensional scaling revealed that some of these 20 systems have greater similarities. Thus, a total of 10 groups were identified.

This work aims to analyze the knowledge of traditional communities in natural resource management through its productive activity, fishing approach of Reproductive Efficiency and Technological Trajectories notion, and thus valuing local knowledge, coupled with their territoriality constitution, as issues crucial to the success of collective management as a basis for sustainable development. Knowing traditional with the assumptions of reproductive efficiency, enabling a rational process and inherent agents that build productive strategies, grounded in multispecies, especially in the use of space and technology, the main mitigating action to ensure the sustainability of human activity in context Amazon. Because this was a study of a more qualitative, were analyzed: a) the historical formation of the city of Mocajuba fishing in the region Lower Tocantins, the natural foundations of spatial scenarios prevailing in research and aspects of rationality and standards production and reproductive performance of economic agents. The results showed us that the rationality of reproductive efficiency has proven effective in the analysis, with the value found in h converging to 1, in other words, the field shows that fishing provides comfort to those in work, represented in the modus vivendi of the agent, to reflect its form of social interaction that same scenario in capitalist societies are constituted, markedly, by its social bases family intertwined in the construction and reconstruction of the natural environment to sustain strong relationships of solidarity and cooperation as its core brands. The configuration of social organization fishing emphasized the model of bipolar division, determined by age and sex, seated in the domestic hierarchy and relationship of human productive force. Technological developments occurred in the Lower Tocantins, affected the fishing, and based on new quirk space optimization fishing. In this sense, technological changes, show up, reducing the effective execution time, increase stamina and enhance the productive yield, without thinking unlink conservation agent. It was evident that the fisheries conducted in the study area, is multispecific, developed dynamically in the different fishing methods employed at each annual seasonal cycle applied in different habitats. Thus, we conclude this paper that the ecological consciousness of the peasant and the value of traditional knowledge is paramount for successful fishing, however, this knowledge is often overlooked by the environmental authorities, but should be considered and consulted so that they can support measures for effective management environment to thrive.
