Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A Organização social da colônia de pescadores de Imperatriz Zona 29 (CPIZ-29), Estado do Maranhão(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2005-11-10) SILVA, Antonio Esmerahdson de Pinho da; SIMONIAN, Ligia Terezinha Lopes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6620574987436911This dissertation analyzes the historical processes of social, political and economic formation of the fishermen colony of Imperatriz Zone 29 (CPI Z-29), in the State of Maranhao. First, the theoretical base underlying social movements in general is introduced, followed by the origin and organizational skills of the unionized fishermen, since the colonies status is similar of that of an union. The evolution of the fishermen movement in the south of Maranhao is examined. This is the area where the city of Imperatriz is located, corresponding to Z-29 Colony. The fishermens achievements, mainly regarding public policies which favor the social movement, are also analyzed. Upon the reconstitution of historical and economic facts, we studied not only the CPI Z-29, which was established by the end of the 70s more precisely in 1978, when it was created but we also examined the production cycles which developed over the years, in Imperatriz. The fishermens modus vivendi was thoroughly analyzed, covering their habits, beliefs, and practices before and after their legal association, aiming at the organization and growth of an important, but often forgotten class. Along with the study of the foundation of the movement and the organizational abilities of the fishermen, the changes in the economic, political, cultural, environmental, and social aspects caused by the transformations in the organizational structure were also analyzed. Such aspects were intensified by the social projects implemented and encouraged by the Federal Government. Finally, we discuss the political visibility of the fishermen, as well as their participation in the decision making process at the municipal level, which is one of the many achievements of the CPI Z-29, since its foundation.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Dinâmica da economia e das relações do trabalho da pesca artesanal no município de Santarém(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2009-04-28) MARTINS, Everaldo de Vasconcelos; CASTRO, Edna Maria Ramos de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4702941668727146; ALMEIDA, Oriana Trindade de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0325909843645279The case study project presented here focuses on how they can explain the dynamics of economics and labor relations in the chain of fishing that occurs in the fishing communities of Ituqui and Tapará Coast, located in the municipality of Santarém-PA, where were interviewed and consulted key players who work in commercial production chain, from capture to the wholesale trade. After analysis and processing of data that were obtained in field work, we demonstrated how trade flows occur and labor relations in fishing communities studied. Fishing is an activity directed to the welfare and survival of fishermen and their families. The data were copied into tables, which is demonstrated the resourcefulness of the fishing activity in those communities, since the capture process, through direct marketing in the context of communities and acting on the mediator boats that interfere in the chain of the fishing trade in the municipality of Santarém. With the conclusion of the case study, it was possible to detect the relevant factors that influence the organizational level of communities through the entity hat represents them, considering the benefits set by government and other nongovernment entities, resulting in the binding of 100% of fishermen to the Fishermen Colony Z-20. Every fishermen interviewed is a signatory of the fishing agreements provided by them and consents to IBAMA. Register that 100% of fishermen of Ituqui fishing communities and Tapará Grande develop their activities using their own resources and depend on income solely derived from the fishing, which reinforces that in the period didn’t have fish they come to rely on unemployment insurance for the maintenance of family and to regain their boats and fishing gears for the next fishing season.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Efeitos de degradação ambiental no espaço natural da praia de Ajuruteua (PA): percepção dos pescadores locais(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-05) RABELLO, Fabrício Khoury; SMITH JÚNIOR, Francisco Pereira; LOPES, Maria Lúcia Bahia; GARVÃO, Rodrigo Fraga; CORRÊA, Rosália do Socorro da SilvaThe uncontrolled exploitation of natural resources has been generating a picture of environmental degradation that affects several Brazilian coastal ecosystems. In this context, the research aims to identify significant changes in the natural space of Ajuruteua beach in the perception of the fishermen village of fishermen located in Ajuruteua Island. For further integration in the environmental analysis, the issue was addressed with emphasis on the main actors and the interactions between the membership and the natural environment.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A festa de São Pedro na Vila de Joanes, Ilha de Marajó, Amazônia(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-08-26) RAVAGNANI, Luis Ricardo; SILVEIRA, Flávio Leonel Abreu da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1972975269922101The Joanes Village is a fishing village in the municipality of Salvaterra, in Marajó Island (PA). Historically it was an indian village and then a religious and military settlement gained importance and prominence in the local economy as a Real Fishing. The town has the historic site PA-JO-46, which consists of the ruins of the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary and wells of the colonial period marking the changes in time. Fishermen stand out as a craft group recognized and valued in the village for the economy that moves through them and the culture they share. In this work the look was focused on the "Feast of St. Peter" or "party of fishermen", as it constitutes a means of representation and sociability of the group of fishermen. Through ethnographic method tried to describe the different rituals that make up the party and understand the sociability of relations established between organizers and participants. I believe that the party is an important experience in people's lives and social groups and that through it we can understand and explain the various dimensions of society: politics, religion, kinship, work, leisure and economics, like “total social fact” (MAUSS, 1974).Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Lugar de mulher é em casa?: cotidiano, espaço e tempo entre mulheres de famílias de pescadores(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2007-03-20) ANDERSON, Kirla Korina dos Santos; MOTTA-MAUÉS, Maria Angélica; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7861116876230464This work deals with the search to understand the meanings of men’s and women’s participation in the domestic maintenance of fishing home groups who dwell in the District of Icoaraci (Belém, Pará, Brazil). For this, matter I observed, I analysed and I interpreted their ways os organization of home settings while men are absent for catching fishes; but at the same time I was focused on the other side of that absence: the presence roles, expectations and endeavors of home women as wifes, mothers or parentes in that space and structure. As method, I had secondary data from the Belém Statistical Yearbook; I did field work; I interviewed seven women from the data gathered it is possible to infer that these women work inside (majority) and outside their homes (minority). Them they may be working at home, depending upon their needs and the circunstances or possibilities offered around them. The social relations are organized from its importance for the reproduction of the domestic group, where men, women and children receive different and complementary attributions. In uncurling of the daily activities, the women assume responsibilities in the maintenance of group, conciliating and, many times, accumulating domestic and extra-domestic tasks, and usufructing of a specific status for choices, agreements and taking of decision, data that allow to question and to reflect on the place of the woman in house.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Mobilidade geográfica como estratégia de sobrevivência de pescadores artesanais na Amazônia: o caso de Cubatão em Icoaraci, Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2008-09-15) LIMA, Marta Goreth Marinho; ARAGÓN VACA, Luis Eduardo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2713210031909963The spatial mobility is inherent in the conduct of fishing in the Amazon. It takes place as a strategy of survival for the reproduction of the craft as a fisherman social category, in response to the shortage of fish, water pollution and the conflicts between artisanal fisheries and industry. In that study, seeks to identify the different types of mobility space held by artisanal fishermen community of Cubatão, located in the District Icoaraci. Fishermen carry out fishing in various scales. As strategic movable keep up, and ensure their reproduction, the fisherman uses the partnership to join the crew composition and distribution of fishery product. For simple efetivam technology have a day of intense work to escape the competitiveness with the fishing industry. How can not accumulate capital to remain low socio-economic levels. If you do not change the condition of the fisheries sector, the situation does not alter the fisherman, leading him to repeatedly perform the mobility, and even migration to other locations that can deliver the fishing, or change of occupancy.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Pesca artesanal no Parque Nacional do Cabo Orange: contextos de conflito socioambiental e estratégias de manejo alternativo(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-08-26) RAVENA CAÑETE, Uriens Maximiliano; SANTOS, Sônia Maria Simões Barbosa Magalhães; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2136454393021407This work aims to understand and describe how artisanal fishermen, who traditionally exploit the areas surrounding and within a conservation unit, specifically Cabo Orange, National Park, located in the municipality of Oiapoque, coast of Amapá, have ordered politically and environmentally with respect to environmental conflict scenarios in coastal waters - in fishing grounds. Thus, the study uses a qualitative methodology and privileges those involved in the setting of the fishing town of Oiapoque, these are: fishermen of Pará, ICMBio and fishermen of Amapá. The search results show that most of the artisanal fishermen associated with the Fishermen Colony of Oiapoque are remnants of a fishing community that was located inside the Park, call Village Tapereba. The National Parks are a model of conservation unit integral to nature protection, not allowing a human presence or exploitation of its resources. Consequently, this population was expropriated and from the interviews it was possible to see how the artisanal fishermen of Oiapoque, along with the Fishermen Colony of Oiapoque, outlined and proposed a management and a compensatory measure for expropriation has occurred since the creation of that park.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A relação trabalho e educação no contexto dos acordos de pesca em Cametá/PA: uma alternativa econômica ou uma prática de resistência?(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013-06-28) BARRA, José Domingos Fernandes; SILVA, Gilmar Pereira da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7624395840820523From the relationship between Labor Education established within a community of fishermen in the município of Cametá, are analyzed fisheries agreements, while strategic ways to manage fish stocks in rivers and gifts for daily routine these workers. Thus we seek the voice of these subjects (fishermen) to identify the problems, difficulties and gains on these agreements, but also how these documents are capable of inciting mechanisms of collective organization, through the co-management of fisheries resources among residents of communities where the research is performed. Initially seeking his own recognition, then recognition as category, while social class, subjects studied fishermen are in the process of setting up either in their struggle inserted individually or in social movements. We aim thus to grasp the importance of his work and how it is steeped in their knowledge and in their economic and/or organizational practices. Similarly, starting from conceptions to describe logical community that are around ways to access and perform maintenance and management of its spaces, which we want to understand the fundamentals that enable shared use of fishery resources.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Trabalho, adoecimento e saúde: aspectos sociais da pesca artesanal no Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2009-08-07) BRASIL, Silvio Silva; AQUINO, Maria José da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1799861202638255This is a study about the relationship between work, health and disease in the scenery of the artisanal fishing in the state of Pará in which we seek to understand the complexity of the questions related to the worker’s health based on the contribution of the social sciences. The contributions of the disciplines like sociology, psychodynamic of work and the anthropology of health are together in this study to approach us to the desired interdisciplinary conception. This research is associated to the field of the Health of the Workers, paradigmatic orientation that is the support of the concepts and analysis present in this work, and we emphasize the structuring role that work takes on the artisanal fisher’s workers lives, as well in the formation of their values, conceptions and in the way they build and deal with their own health, without neglecting the social and subjective dimensions present in the dynamics of the process healthdisease in their relation to the work. As says Minayo (2004a), the qualitative research in health approach, our methodological reference to the development of this study, emphasizes the speech of the subjects, their conceptions of health and disease and with this objective we made semi-structured interviews with the fishermen in each city visited ,that voluntarily agreed to participate in this study. For a deeper approach to the disease processes and their possible relation with the working activity developed by these fishermen studied, we also utilized the instrument of observation, following the fishermen during their activity in the river. The material obtained in the research includes 23 interviews with fishermen of six municipal districts in state of Pará: Abaetetuba, Igarapé-Miri, Mocajuba, Bragança, Salinópolis e São Caetano de Odivelas. In all these municipal districts the artisanal fishing takes a very important place in the local economy and join a large contingent of workers, allowing us to observe different realities of business in Pará, state which has a diversity of aquatic ecosystems, showing environments of continental waters, estuarine and from the sea, in which fishing is developed with many adaptations and particularities. We choose as the analytical conception of our work the hermeneutic dialectics, as Minayo defends (2004a, p. 227), a “way of thinking” from which we seek to understand the speech as a result of the social process (work and domination), for where the amplified regard, investigative about the sceneries of life and work is essential. We search to establish “the field of fundamental determinations” which is the social and historical context of these workers, emphasizing, among many aspects, the importance of the artisanal fishermen and their insertion in the production system; their reproduction’s conditions (work, income, housing, access to goods and services etc); access to social security politics, emphasizing the understanding that considers health and disease concepts historically constructed, strongly permeated by the historical and social conditions from the individuals and particularly marked in their relationship with their work.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Trabalho, educação e movimentos sociais: um estudo sobre o saber e a atuação política dos pescadores da Colônia Z-16, no Município de Cametá-PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-05-02) MARTINS, Egidio; ARAÚJO, Ronaldo Marcos de Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7901626430586502In this research, we had as an object of study the knowledge of the workers of the Colony Z-16 built during the work. We aimed to analyze the knowledge produced by the work of the fishermen and the political participation of those individuals in the social context of their movements. To the development of that study, we dicussed in the qualitative approach and opted by the study of case, and having as reference the historical materialism. As theoricalreference, we had Marx, Saviani, Frigotto, Schawrtz, Damasceno, Franco, Fische, Machado, Kuenzer, Santos among others, we analyzed the result of the interviews which enabled us to come to the following conclusions: a) the fishermen develop their knowledge from their work; b) the knowledge of the workers interviewed are developed in a contradictory way by the relations established and, at the same time, confirm the identity of the working class, but they also reveal proper values of the capital; c) the workrs understand the school as a mean of social rise and not as a possibity of valuation of their own knowledge; d) the political performance of the workers contributes to develop the knowledge in and to their works. This subject matter needs to be deepened and the continuation of the reflection may favor the power of the workers.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Valoração e sustentabilidade da pesca artesanal de Curuçá e Colares, Estado do Pará: uma análise das externalidades de um projeto portuário na percepção dos pescadores.(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-02-28) BEGOT, Ligia Henriques; SANTANA, Antônio Cordeiro de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2532279040491194The Amazon coastal zone is a region of extreme socio-cultural, economic and ecological importance, with the possibility of installing the Porto do Espadarte project in one of the coastal states of the state of Pará, such as Curuçá or Colares. The construction of a large work affects the population, especially artisanal fishermen, due to static and dynamic externalities on the use of natural resources. In this regard, this is an early process for the installation of communities that can have a major project, such as the development of socio-economic activities and the creation of a large project such as the Port of Espadarte, an artisanal fishing activity and maintenance of fishing communities . Based on the perception of the artisanal fishermen of the municipalities of Colares and Curuçá. The methodology used was the Integrated Continuous Evaluation Method (MIAC), with the application of the methods of Disposal to Pay (DAP) and Disposition to Accept (DAA). The resources correspond to an artisanal fisherman with a socioeconomic interdependence of coastal fishing resources, with a diversity in strategies and fishing gear. Introducing swaps and the understanding of externalities that are not caused by the port, especially the negative externalities. The DAP and DAA models were constructed with socioeconomic, environmental and fishing parameters corresponding to estimates that predict the Ecological Economy, presenting the variables such as Sex, Schooling, Socioenvironmental Indicator, Fishing Time and Fishing Type. The average values of DAP and DAA show a growth rate of R$ 6.3 million and R$ 64.5 million. Conclusion of the DAP model, with greater significance, expression of total economic value of resources for the artisanal fishermen of Curuçá and Colares, as well as the fishermen who have a high perception about the natural resources and environment, possessing a clear knowledge about the externalities positive and negative that can be obtained from this great work. The main rules of this module are the environmental governance standard for artisanal fishermen, the main rules for public policies that lead local development of better living conditions for affected people, reducing the social, environmental and cultural consequences to locaties.
