Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) As dimensões ensino e pesquisa enquanto premissas institucionais da formação acadêmica no arquipélago Universidade Federal do Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2007-04-18) OLIVEIRA, Damião Bezerra; CORRÊA, Paulo Sérgio de Almeida; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7102416953096612We deal about the relation between teaching and research as essential characteristic of the modern conception of university instituted and its repercussions in the understanding of academic teaching, establishing the education while comparative particularity to be understood in this totality. With the thus defined subject, the tensions of this academic ideal in its institutionalization in Brazil is examined, after that in the UFPA and Center of Education. The problem of research is express in three basic questionings: How was instituted the research in the Brazilian academic space and which its repercussions in the characterization of the teaching activity in this institution? How teaching and research dimensions are represented in official documents of the UFPA? How this relation happens in the particularity of the Center of Education? This problematic one consists from a philosophicalepistemological boarding where the concepts of practical, productive and theoretical rationality and of scientific and social institution had been the conducting wires. In an effort of description-conceptual understanding of the subject, the inquiry was leaned over on bibliographical sources and registers of qualitative character, but also of statistical information regarding the UFPA and Center of Education. To the set of selected sources if explanation applied procedures of literal analysis basically -, commentary and dissertation. It was possible to understand the specificity of the complexity and heterogeneity of the research of the knowledge and education notions that there were institute in the Brazilian university, the tensions instituted and the particularities that assume in the educational field. These conceptual elements also appear in the official documents that define the objectives and the structure of UFPA and Center of Education, still that the conditions of achievement of this instituted ideal only come if presenting in well recent years.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Atividades investigativas, como estratégia para o ensino-aprendizagem em ciências: propostas e aprendizagens(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2007-03-07) SOUZA, Simony Suely Paes de; NAKAYAMA, LuizaLeaving of the premise that "teaching it requires to know to learn and to know to construct (together with our pupils) the learnings that we search", I developed a proposal of investigation activities, for the teach-learning in Sciences. I stand out that to give differentiated lessons, nor always it would be or it is easy, therefore it has a content to be fulfilled and to be finished, beyond a very short time carrying through them. Thus, my dissertation is an inquiry of the qualitative type, that if configures as an researchaction, on the activities programmed at moments, with pupils of 7 series of the basic education of two schools of the particular net of education of the city of Belém (called here, School and School B), having as content programmarian the human body. In the school, emphasizing the digestive system, we had the following moments: the great snack; a video on the process of alimentary and mini-gincana digestion (test). Already in school B, with the content on the Locomotive System, the moments: hypothetical construction of the human body, from the contour of a model; the walked one until an Academy of Gynnastics of activities; lessons in square of the school, in set with the professor of Physical Ed.; e finally, the confection of a CD-ROM with all the subjects worked, during the school year. In both the schools, had the moment of the reading of didactic books. We conclude that learnings, from investigation activities, and that they take in account the experiences, the questionings and the contributions of the pupils, they are effective, independent of the subject who will be boarded and the Institution of Education (public or particular). However, we consider that this methodology of work will function if the professor: 1 - it will be made use to continue its studies and 2 - to share with its pupils the flavors and to know them, as well as the teachings and the learnings.Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) Compreensão de professores de matemática sobre números fracionários(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-08-31) DIAS, Josete Leal; ESPÍRITO SANTO, Adilson Oliveira do; SILVA, Francisco Hermes Santos da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3912906225739008This research is a review of its objectives in terms that how mathematics teachers fractional numbers in order to make it a significant knowledge to the student. From the review of the literature on this subject of education I chose to confine this study in two ways: one where endogenous bring the contributions of Kieren (1976) and Nunes et al (2003) including fractional numbers from the part-whole meanings, number, multiplying operator, measure and quotient. These meanings were taken from Vergnaud (1990) as a set of situations that give meaning to the concept of fractional numbers. Another exogenous through the contributions of sociology of knowledge according to Fleck (1976) and cultural mathematics by Alan Bishop (1990). These two routes were selected in order to answer: What teacher`s Mathematics understanding manifested when facing a set of situation involving fractional numbers? The study included twenty-one teachers from public and private with more than three years experience in the sixth year of elementary school. The study involved the application of a diagnostic test with at least two sections for each participant containing fifteen questions involving the meanings of fractional numbers above posts. Data were analyzed from the categories: invariant surgery, the five meanings, communicative dynamics. As a result it was possible to indicate that participating teachers understand fractional numbers from the part-whole meanings and multiplicative operator, and the communication of the Exoteric Circle (the professors) than the Esoteric Circle (academic productions) thereby enhancing the communicative dynamics that by intracoletiva turn does not help the school in general, and pedagogical practices in particular, the development of values such as openness to teaching Mathematics.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) A criança indígena nos estudos acadêmicos no Brasil: uma análise das produções científicas (2001 – 2012)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-09-04) ARAÚJO, Sheila Alves de; ALVES, Laura Maria Silva Araújo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6009592378453661This paper examines the conceptions of Indigenous Childhood in academicians present studies produced in Brazil. Contributions to this study, it was considered as a guiding question: what conceptions of Childhood for the various indigenous ethnic groups in academic productions in Brazil in the period 2001-2012? The overall objective was to investigate the conceptions of childhood to the various indigenous ethnic groups present in academic productions in Brazil in the period 2001-2012, aimed (1) to identify and map these conceptions of indigenous children in different ethnic groups present in academic productions; (2) describe the process of education of indigenous children in several Brazilian indigenous ethnicities; (3) address the cultural practices of indigenous children mentioned in these studies; (4) discuss the relevance, progress and limits of such studies to the understanding of indigenous children in Brazil. The methodological path followed for the development of this study was bibliographical whose source Dissertations and Theses collected on the portal of CAPES in the period 2001-2012 on indigenous children. For the purpose of systematizing the corpus of analysis of this study and facilitate understanding of the material, the theses were organized into three themes: (1) ethnic conception of indigenous children; (2) cultural practices of indigenous children; (3) Indigenous education. From the choice of themes, it was thought in categories that could facilitate the understanding of the methodology chosen for this dissertation. Was then chosen for each thematic axis a category, namely: (1) Freedom; (2) Play; (3) Indigenous education (traditional school). Regarding the categories, it was possible to realize how important it was to mention them in this study because it allowed us to understand them well to bring out the rich arsenal that emerge when studying the conceptions of childhood linked to freedom, play and education. Such conceptions allowed us to have a new look about childhood in indigenous societies, from advances / limits. The results also showed that studies of childhood and / or indigenous child is incipient, particularly in the state of Pará and this is due to the fact that local researchers have not yet awakened the interest in the topic in question, and list some possible reasons for this "no interest": lack of motivation of researchers in this area, the inclusion of these studies in various areas of knowledge that are not necessarily in the field of education and poor access communities. We also noticed that the productions performed in our region on the theme Indigenous children are computed at the source of the researchers who come here to study it in leaving the North in the limit of production on indigenous children. Moreover, there is an urgent need to investigate the childhood and / or children living in the most diverse indigenous societies. Here is a challenge to be overcome and attempt to understand the child's world and your logical thinking to reality, learning as complex and full guy, so their perceptions of everyday village, school, family, rituals and symbols constitute themselves into a task of paramount importance.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Desafios da pós-graduação em Psicologia no Brasil(2010) TOURINHO, Emmanuel Zagury; BASTOS, Antonio Virgílio BittencourtThe regulation of Graduate Programs in Brazil is less than five decades old. Along this period, the system has been successful concerning its results, even though some of its essential features remain unfinished. In the field of Psychology, the system comprises 64 Programs and 42 of them offer Doctoral degrees. In order to efficiently cope the demands of the Brazilian Graduate System, the Psychology area will need to face challenges, some of which we highlight in this paper. They are: (a) the enlargement of geographical and thematic scope in order to overcome regional asymmetries and thematic gaps in psychological research;(b) the improvement of the evaluation system in order to comprise the diverse strategies in instructing new researchers and the knowledge production in every subarea of Psychology; (c) the necessity of a link among different areas of Graduate Programs in Psychology since the basis for knowledge production in this field may have additional demands related to the development of intervention technologies; and (d) the elaboration of policies which may qualify the system, improving the research networks, providing international exchange for the groups, promoting scientific publications, and extensive methodological learning, for instance. The diagnosis of these and other challenges, in their multiple dimensions, may lead to a more efficient use of the potentials of Brazilian research groups, towards the development of knowledge production and training new researchers.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Ensino na Saúde como objeto de pesquisa na pós-graduação stricto sensu: análise do Pró-Ensino na Saúde(Universidade Estadual Paulista, 2018) BAHIA, Silvia Helena Arias; HADDAD, Ana Estela; BATISTA, Nildo Alves; BATISTA, Sylvia Helena Souza da SilvaDissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Estudo experimental sobre a resposta imunológica em infecções seqüenciais pelo vírus Dengue 3 e pelo vírus Dengue 2 em primatas não humanos da espécie Callithrix penicillata(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012) FERREIRA, Milene Silveira; VASCONCELOS, Pedro Fernando da Costa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0973550817356564Dengue fever is caused by Dengue virus (DENV - Flaviviridae, Flavivirus) and is considered the most widespread arbovirus in the world. Currently, there is an animal that fits a model for studies on the pathogenesis of DENV. To investigate the susceptibility of the DENV Callithrix penicillata were inoculated samples DENV-3 and DENV-2 isolated from human cases of fatal. To do this, twenty-two animals were infected with DENV-3 (3.23 × 103 PFU/mL) and sixty days after infection (dai), 11 of these were secondarily infected with DENV-2 (4.47 × 104 PFU/mL). Blood, plasma and serum were collected daily during the first seven days and for 15, 20, 45, and 60 dai. We investigated the production of IgM antibodies and inhibitors of hemagglutination (HI), as setup were analyzed biochemical and hematological profile and serum cytokine levels (IL-6, TNF- α, IL-2, IFN-, IL-4 and IL-5). Primary infection (DENV-3) showed IgM (15-20 dai), antibodies IH (15-60 dai), increased levels of TNF-α and IFN-γ and decreased IL-5. In secondary infection (DENV-2) was detected IgM antibodies (15-20 dai), antibodies HI (15-60 dai), and decreased levels of IL-6, TNF-α, IFN-γ and IL-5. Furthermore, it was observed in both infections leukopenia, neutropenia, lymphocytopenia, monocytopenia, thrombocytopenia, and increased AST. The high levels of INF-γ and TNF-α showed activation of the inflammatory response, as the response to cellular differentiation and suppression of proliferation of cytokine features of the humoral response. The presence of neutralizing antibodies may have caused suppression of the inflammatory response in secondary infection which may have led to the absence of signs of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever/Dengue Shock Syndrome (DHF/DSS) during secondary infection (DENV-2). The results indicate that non-human primates Callithrix penicillata demonstrated susceptibility to DENV strains of human origin, suggesting that these animals are a good model for studies of the immune response of Dengue Fever (DF) and for the assessment of a tetravalent vaccine.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Formar para ensinar e pesquisar: perspectivas para a relação entre ensino e pesquisa na formação de professores de educação física(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-08-28) FURTADO, Renan Santos; BORGES, Carlos Nazareno Ferreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2548063126332942; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1911-2278This research aims to study the relationship between teaching and research in the training of Physical Education teachers. Thus, having as theoretical support concepts of Theodor Adorno and Paulo Freire, we reflect on the following question: what are the perspectives that we can point to a formative imbrication between teaching and research in the formation of Physical Education teachers? Thus, we have as general objective: to discuss the perspectives for a formative imbrication between teaching and research in the formation of Physical Education teachers. As specific objectives, we intend to: 1) Understand the way some documents of Education and Physical Education approach research and teaching. 2) To investigate from the historical point of view the constitution of the scientific field of Physical Education and the relationship between research and teaching in the area. 3) Discuss the meaning of the formative action and the social function of the teacher trainer / researcher. 4) Point out perspectives for training for research in Physical Education from the contributions of Theodor Adorno and Paulo Freire. Regarding the methodological procedures, regarding the type of research, it is a theoretical study, which uses a specialized bibliography related to the object to deal with the issue, as well as selected documents that characterize a certain empirical contribution. We use content analysis as a data analysis technique. We conclude that semiformation has entered the initial formation of Physical Education teachers from historical and contemporary mechanisms, a fact that delayed the intellectual production of the area. As ways to overcome this scenario of semiformation, we point out the need for teacher / researcher training to take place in dialogue with the political, ethical / human, technical / scientific and cultural aspects of training. Finally, we point out two perspectives that we can consider for the deepening of an education for emancipatory research in the training of Physical Education teachers, which are: to recognize that research requires the accumulation of theoretical and methodological foundations that enable a real investigation and interpretation of phenomena. , and consider that research training needs to form subjects capable of thinking and producing concepts beyond the appearance and ideological coercions of the capital world.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) As imagens como fonte de pesquisa nos estudos culturais: um convite a novos problemas e outras práticas(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2004-09) RIBEIRO, Joyce Otânia SeixasArtigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Investigación y formación de recursos humanos en ciencias sociales sobre la Amazonia(2004-12) ARAGÓN VACA, Luis EduardoThis is a study of the state of the art of the scientific research in social sciences in continental Amazonia. The study concludes that it is extremely difficult to define the situation of scientific research in social science with the data available for the study. Nevertheless the study was able to identify some 150 institutions that conduct research and produce science and technology related to the Amazon in the eight countries, of which approximately 100 conduct research on social sciences. Those institutions are located mainly in Brazil and Colombia.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Movimentos sociais, educação campo e pesquisa: um estudo sobre os grupos de pesquisa no diretório do CNPq(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2009-06) HAGE, Salomão Antônio MufarrejArtigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Notas sobre pesquisa como princípio educativo(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2008-06) CRUZ, Carlos Renilton Freitas; ESTUMANO, Evanildo Moraes; MEDEIROS, Evandro Costa de; SOUSA, José da CruzArtigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) A pesquisa teórica nas investigações acadêmicas: questões teóricas e metodológicas(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2004-01) RIBEIRO, Joyce Otânia SeixasDissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Os projetos de investigação nas aulas de matemática em escolas ribeirinhas na ilha de Cotijuba(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013-04-16) SILVA, Carlos Alberto Nobre da; LUCENA, Isabel Cristina Rodrigues de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3255121871351967This work analyses the possibilities of transformation a proposal of Mathematic Education based on projects investigation that promotes transdisciplinaridade and the students participation on the teaching /learning process. It brings to the development of the reflexive and critical competence for the integral education of students from grade school which are riverain, these competences, according to Skovsmose (2004) and Mora (2005) are necessary for the citizen‟s participation in our society. Based on Santos (2010) and others, I analyze the crisis on dominant paradigm in the sciences, and its unfolding in the education process and also its consequences on life of the traditional culture as the riverain. As theory base on Ethomathematic, mainly on Ubiratan D‟Ambrosio (2005; 2012), Gelsa Knijnik (2001) and Alan Bishop (1999) works, it also stablishes a dialogue with Critic Mathematic Education, it has as a reference the searches of Ole Skovsmose (2000; 2004; 2006) and David Mora (2005), on search of connections and mutual articulations which propitiate the education work with riverain population. At “Poção” community on Cotijuba Island specifically at Escola Pedra Branca ( Grade School, only for initial series) where I restored the empiric part of this search. For this work, I dealt with 19 (nineteen) students of that level of studies, 07 (seven) parents/students responsible and the school teacher. For the Methodology, I utilized two different and complement moments: the first one consists on approximation of the searcher to the riverain cultural universal of “Poção” community, it happened on three articulated stages: the observation, the interpersonal dialogues with the inhabitant of the community and the searcher participation on activities which it is being observed riverain‟s social practices. The second moment is more pedagogical. It is about the development with the students and their teacher using four settings for investigation of social economic and cultural activities from “Poção” community: naval carpentry, fishery handicraft, the collect and commercialization of fruit, the plantation of small country and vegetable-garden, all of those strategies were used to dialogue with cultural knowing/doing of the riverain and about the forms of used measures on the community and their relations with the studied measure on that level of studying of Mathematic school. From the analyses “settings of investigation” on (SKOVSMOSE, 2000), I made clear that the investigative projects of “transdisciplinar” character enable the students respect as subjects which produces knowledge, having as consequence the students active participation on their process of learning, and also, they give the visibility, on the course, the knowledge of tradition “putting them on interlocution with knowledge legitimated in our society with the scientific knowledge” (KNIJNIK, 2001, p. 25), establishing useful relation and mutual articulations between the mathematic knowledge and the riverain knowledge at “Poção” community from Cotijuba. State University of Pará (UEPA), focusing on how to educate reflexive teachers who are also researchers of their own teaching practices. Such an approach advocates for an epistemology of professional practice in conjunction with research as a formative principle; one of its ideas consists of building knowledge concerned with practical needs, so to respond to complex demands posed by teacher’s initial education. The study goal is to understand aspects of initial education on which teacher educators base their action, in order to develop teaching process towards educating teachers, both reflexive and researchers of their own practices. In a specific manner, the study set out: to map the reflexive and researcher teacher concept, as it is engaged with by theorists in the field; to identify the idea of a reflexive and researcher teacher, as it is described by Mathematics teacher educators within UEPA; to verify how, in the educator’s speech, an initial practice is aligned to the reflexive and researcher teacher theory; to outline possible contributions to professional development of teachers based on a reflexive and research-informed practice, as it is discussed by the literature and by the Mathematics teacher educators from UEPA. The research subjects are five teacher educators from the undergraduate course of Mathematics in UEPA. The research adopted a qualitative approach, with the theoretical and methodological framework based on en empiric study, to be developed through the technique of semi-structured interview, in conjunction with bibliographical research. Results showed that teacher educators’ ideas regarding reflecting over practices is related to two other ideas: a first one which limits such a reflection to what takes place in the classroom; and another one which goes beyond the classroom, as it analyzes context and political questions as important factors to be taken into consideration, also demonstrating an alignment between this idea and more critical theoretical references among Mathematics educators. Regarding research and reflection over professional teaching practices, results show as pathways: the act of relating high education contents with episodes and problem-situations of Elementary education, something to work as a source of study and research; the method diversity; the teaching being planned and developed with other educators, with activities in training and evaluations, both as moments to understand and realign teaching practices. They also lead to affirming how research is a necessary condition for educators who act upon the initial education, as it allows them to widely gaze at teaching, as well as to amplify their autonomy and professional development, in order to make sure there are changes in teaching practices. Regarding contributions of reflection and researching on practice for teacher professional development, they describe educators’ major engagement with research groups, with studies about teaching methodologies, and concerns related to outlining a curriculum oriented for reflecting upon practices for improving teachers’ action in elementary education. However, they also reveal that initial education lacks approaching reflections on educational policies and wide social questions.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) A química na região Norte(1997-12) ARRUDA, Alberto CardosoA historical overview of CHEMISTRY SCIENCE from the beginning of the ESCOLA DE QUÍMICA INDUSTRIAL DO PARÁ in the northern region of Brazil is given. And education, within the most complex societies such as industrial capitalists, is a planned activity, which entails the development of objectives and indicating means for achieving them. Understanding the plots of building formalized and linked to agents that determine the goals of education and their educational intentions on Race Relations in Brazil. I devoted myself to the academic survey on the production of doctoral theses activities, completed in 2005-2010, and about researches and studies on Education and Race Relations in the Post-Graduate Programs in Education. I investigated about the movement of the thematic areas of race relations in educational policies, specifically federal government programs that meet the demand for inclusion of the theme in the education system in Brazil. Because, since 2003, the theme goes through a phase of institutionalization, primarily by the legal set that establishes a new legal mark to the education. The object searched included the setting of formalized practices that develop cadres of specialized agents on race relations. Analyze the intentional relationship between formalized practices on race relations that prescribe the formulation of educational objectives at different levels and social levels. Identify the goals of the education system described in the Federal Government's programs aimed at promoting education for racial equality. Relate the formalized practices in the field of educational research to the intentions described in Federal Government programs. Explain what are the interests that drive these formalized practices from the educational demands of the subject race relations. The writing of the thesis is guided in defense analysis at which the obligation of the theme race relations is driven by two antagonistic forces, one directed the establishment of the right to citizenship moved by the intention to build a society for racial equality, opportunities of access to material and symbolic goods and free of discriminatory practices; another related to existing interests within a game of power to the point of converting education at the center of such bitter dispute that covertly discriminates against racial equality in Brazil.Resenha Acesso aberto (Open Access) Resenha da obra de: ARAUJO, Francisco Antonio Machado; FERRO, Maria da Glória Duarte. Nevertheless, investigating routines constitutes a challenge to researchers interested in this subject, mainly when it is about groups inserted in differentiated cultural contexts. In order to provide a methodological contribution, this work describes an instrument of qualitative investigation (IFR – Inventory of Family Routines). This instrument was used to collect data about the routines of families who live in an Amazonia's riverside community, and whose main feature is the geographical and social isolation. The steps of the instrument construction are presented along with the necessary adaptations and the manner of results organization (FAD – Family Activities Diagram), all of them illustrated through an investigative case.
