This study uses six sigma methodology in order to increase the productivity of the Line of LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) in a factory in the Pólo Industrial de Manaus - PIM and a fuzzy inference system to measure the increase of productivity, where we identified several parameters based on the six sigma methodology. Among which, according to the degree of relevance of specialists in this study, we can highlight: waste, production capacity and time study. Emphasizing further that the proposed system is of great importance to practitioners and researchers of production management, who want results that reduce costs and therefore increase profits of the organization.

Ensaios sobre distribuição, mudanças climáticas e produtividade no Brasil

The dissertation addresses two articles that investigate different aspects of Brazilian economic growth and its relationship with factors such as income distribution and pollution. These studies offer an in-depth analysis of Brazil's economic dynamics, highlighting the importance of understanding the complex interactions between economic and environmental variables. The first article, titled "Brazilian Economic Growth in Light of Post-Keynesian Theory of Functional Income Distribution", examines the application of post-Keynesian theory to understand whether Brazil's economic growth between 2003 and 2015 was driven by wages or profits. The analysis concludes that the period in question was characterized by profit-led growth. The second article, "Growth, Productivity Regime and Pollution Applied to the Brazilian Economy from 1980-2016", explores how pollution, especially CO2 emissions, influence Brazilian economic growth within the context of post-Kaleckian growth regimes. It is concluded that the concentration of pollution has a negative impact on labor productivity, leading to a Brazilian economy under a profit-led growth regime during the period from 1980 to 2016. Both articles contribute to a deeper understanding of the determinants of Brazilian economic growth and offer important insights for the formulation of public policies aimed at sustainable and inclusive development. In short, the dissertation provides a comprehensive and multifaceted analysis of the challenges and opportunities faced by the Brazilian economy in its search for balanced and environmentally responsible economic growth.

The Management Program is an initiative of federal government in which results of activities carried by civil servants can be effectively measured. According to Normative Instruction 01, teleworking is one of the modalities of Management Program, in which civil servants work outside unit’s facilities. At Suframa, Management Program was established via Ordinance 368. This dissertation aims measure the impact of implementation of Management Program, by teleworking mode, on the productivity of analysis of research, development and innovation (RD&I) projects, in Suframa. To this end, the productivity was measured before starting Management Program and after the first quarterly cycle, considering the number of RD&I projects analyzed, the average time to make a single RD&I project analysis and the number of projects in analytical liabilities. The results showed the Management Program, in teleworking mode, impacted in a positive way all analyzed items.

The stagnation of the economy in the country make each time more business to look for alternatives to improve their results. The difficulty in obtaining mortgage loans strongly influences the rise of the distractions of the houses and apartments purchased, creating more offers and consequently increasing the competition between builders, which forces them to give discounts, making the expected profit is less for their enterprises. On this scene of challenges, the construction companies have been searching for improve their managment and processes. A alternative to make it happen is the development of their own management system, encompassing all steps of the process, starting in the concept until the after construction. The searching strategy is the searching-action, it consists in diagnoses the problem, plans the solution actions, implement these actions, evaluate the results and find possibilities of new actions. On this type of searching, the searcher's focus is on provocate changes in the system, monitoring the results and at the same time increasing the kwoledge about the theme. To define the searching, were made trhee steps: 1) Understood, where were full-blown the starting studies of productivity, construction quality and Lean filosofy, later being developed and approved tools to be applied in construction processes, 2) Development of the management system, where it was made and approved, 3) Enforcement of the management system, where the results were evaluated, propose the necessary improvement and define the final system version. The main results founded were: (a) the definition of necessary abilities for a person who will be the change agent, responding for the system implementation, (b) the final management system version porpose, (c) the definition of the each step's right application moment, (d) the viability demonstration of applying the proposed method thru the financial results.The results prove the necessity of developing a own management methodology for the construction companies, looking for a better results and rising the quality of the final product.

Currently there are many automated production processes, which are becoming increasingly complex according to the needs of the modern world and therefore demand phases of projects and implementation of engineering tools even more powerful to model them and analyze them the most efficient manner possible. In this environment of increasing pressure for positive results, rationalization and improvement of domestic remedies, the computational tool Tecnomatix Plant Simulation 9.0, emerges as a way to achieve competitiveness in production. Underscoring that, the proposed study is of great relevance for professionals in the production management, which aim to minimize costs and outcomes to maximize profits.
