Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Ciências naturais no ensino profissional do Pará: : Instituto de Educando Artífices e Instituto Lauro Sodré (1870/1901)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-04-04) TEIXEIRA, Kelúbia Soares; ALVES, José Jerônimo de Alencar; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9586790409626243The aim of this paper was to analyse the process of insertion of the Natural Sciences in the curriculum of the first Institute of Vocational Training of Pará (Belém, Pará state, Brazil), during both periods: from 1870 to 1897 – when it worked as Institute of Educating Artificers – and from 1897 to 1901 – when it functioned as Lauro Sodré Institute. Our results showed that the Natural Sciences were part of the Institute of Educating Artificers with subjects as “Brief Rudiments of Physiscs and chemistry” during the primary school from 1870 to 1883, and also in the Industrial Course of the Lauro Sodré Institute with the subjects Physics, Chemistry, History of the Three Kingdoms, Notions of Zoology and Botany from 1899 to 1901. It is noteworthy that modern scientific rationality began to be expanded in the Amazon by the sea with the steamships arriving from Europe. Then, the city of Belem began to take off as an urban center around the 70,s, under the particular name of Amazon Belle Èpoque. From the establishment of the Republic in Brazil, the urbanization process accelerated and Belém modernized. It is evidenced that the modernization of the city of Belém during the Belle Èpoque ofefered conditions for the instruction of the Natural Sciences in the curriculum of the Institute of educating Artificers and Lauro sodré Institute, reflecting the Amazonian context of valorization of the sciences as indispensable knowledge for modernization prmoting the formation of a type of individual whose discourses investigated pointed as being a workman. Our study suggested that since childhood, the student was introduced in this discursive order to receive instruction for a “useful” carrer to the state – generating profit the province – and for the constitution of modern civilized society, being in the order of discourse a subject who dominated the scientific knowledge of the modern world, wisdom that came to the Amazon as a model to be followed.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Formação profissional e desenvolvimento local: relações e oportunidades a partir da elaboração do projeto educativo de um município português(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-03) ALCOFORADO, Joaquim Luís Medeiros; FRIAS, Mafalda; CORDEIRO, António Manuel RochetteBy combining professional training policies with technological innovations, changes in production and work organization seek to define strategies that result in the individual’s effective participation in their production environment. With an integrative intention and by taking into account the processes and contexts’ changes of the economy sectors, professional training entities should, by adopting a broader view of action, focus on the development of training initiatives adjusted to society’s real needs and, specially, adjusted to the local community in which the citizens act. As a result, within a municipal context’s education strategic project – Local Educational Project – developed between the University of Coimbra and a Lisbon’s Metropolitan Area County (Sintra), still in a diagnostic phase and by using the Focus Group technique, some companies and training institutions representatives of the territory counties were heard about the business characterization and its needs in terms of human resources and training areas. Assuming that local development calls for the participation of all agents and all people, based on a holistic preparation, professional education, as a vital contribution to economic, social and cultural development, becomes a multidimensional phenomenon essentially focused on promoting action capacities and strengthening the conditions for individual and group participation, in the processes of integrated and sustained development, based on the realities of people and their communities.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O pacto pelo ensino médio: reflexões (pregressas) sobre a educação científica(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-06) RAMOS, Marise NogueiraThe popularization of science education in school (non-hegemonic conception) aiming an increase of secondary school education’s quality as a deliberate proposition by Secondary School Directorship of MEC’s Secondary School and Technology Secretariat in the years 2003 and 2004, is the objective of this work, based in Ramos (2012; 2011; 2002 e 2003), Vigostsky (1989) and Marandino (2003). The result highlights that the proposal didn’t advance as a structuring public policy. Through current DCNEM and Pacto Nacional pelo Ensino Médio [National Pact for the Secondary School] expectations, it is made an attempt in order to keep the importance of this debate included on curriculum documents, with implications on teachers’ thinking and practices. We conclude on the necessity of the debate’s continuity, and possible actions in school, presenting a paradoxal issue: the priority of secondary school current policy helps us or remove the idea about building the secondary school over and above its competencies and outlined curricular content?
