Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Antagonismo político na arena midiática: escândalos na eleição ao governo do Pará em 2014(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-03-20) MORAES, Lázaro Cardoso de; COSTA, Luciana Miranda; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1310961057480638This research analyzed newspaper articles published during the political campaign in 2014 for governor of Pará State in the local newspapers O Liberal and Diário do Pará aiming to identify phrases, key-words and other editorial resources – such as headlines, photo captions, photographs, infographs and facsimiles – in order to check if both papers took part in the construction of media political scandals so as to demage the opponents’ simbolic capital and influence the electors’ opinion. Considering that O Liberal declared support for the re-election of governor Simão Jatene and Diário do Pará for Helder Barbalho – who is son of senator Jader Barbalho and former mayor of Ananindeua municpality, in Belém Metropolitan region, we collected 100 articles published in both papers. Each of them was analysed based on two forms referring to quantity and quality data – such as if the article was the main headline of the newspaper; internal page headline; if it was published on even or odd pages or if it showed graphical resources; and another for the quality information: if the two sides involved were interviewed; if the article was against the candidates’ administration, their relatives or political allies; if the article was framed as political scandal, or even if there was omission of any public agent accused. Among the authors who provided theory reference to embase our research are Thompson (2002), Bourdieu (1998), Bakhtin (2006) and Mainguenau (2013), references for discourse analysis of the articles published in both newspapers. Based on the quantitative as well as qualitative data collected, we analysed how the newspapers do to say what they say, going through the discourse strategies each of them used on the construction of media political scandals aiming to conquer political power. In the end, we concluded that both newspapers not only worked on the attempt to influence the electors’ votes, as well as adopted similar discourse strategies, characterizing a sui generis form of political antagonism between the two communication groups which suported their respective candidates for governor of the State.Item Desconhecido Cenas de enunciação da propaganda de governo do estado do Pará: a constituição do mundo ético do sujeito político(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-04-11) BEZERRA, Diego Michel Nascimento; NEVES, Ivânia dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2648132192179863; PESSOA, Fátima Cristina da Costa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4011084861970140Governmental propaganda texts are daily dispersed in the society through different media supports. This communicative activity projects an enunciative instance conditioned by senses from political and mediatic order. It is a discursive practice that aims to deliberately incorporate a public to a specific vision of the State, introducing an ethical world historically defined to legitimate the governmental image inserted in a democratic order. In this context, this research aims to understand what senses are implied in the enunciation of the propaganda of the government of Pará State, according to the semantics constrains imposed by the alignment between a political enunciative scene and an enunciative scene of propaganda. In order to demonstrate the way how the senses are processed in this discursive surface, it constituted a topic discursive unit of analysis with 52 pieces of propaganda in digital movie format that circulated for four years during the administration of a center-left party of the government of Pará State. Data was analyzed following the theoretical notions of global semantics (MAINGUENEAU, 2008a) that regulates the operation of discourse. It consolidated with the analysis of the results the following insights: (i) it established a global scene (MAINGUENEAU, 2008b, 2013, 2015) that projects the actional contexts between subjects from interdiscursive competencies implied in the production of symbolic materiality in matter, constituting a practice of hybrid communication that questions the coenunciator as citizen-spectator; (ii) it mobilized scenographies (MAINGUENEAU, 1997, 2008b, 2013, 2015) that impose effects of senses, which articulate to a deixis of a state prosperity to guarantee the enunciative authority of points of view held by social democracy supporters; (iii) it observed people who support a discursive ethos characterized by textual evidence that oscillate between a serious tone of impartiality and an emotional character of citizen gratitude, establishing order of the ideal of sociability among government and governed aiming the incorporation of the latter into the world of the senses of the government of Pará State.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Política online: campanha eleitoral no facebook(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-09-03) LOPES, Lucivane; MORBACH, Marise Rocha; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6548225770072744The present research aims to analyze Brazil's 2012 Election Campaign, describing the construction of "social capital" in the online social network 'Facebook'. The main goal is to analyze the importance of this vehicle as a catalyst of social capital and how these are transformed into political capital, that is, votes. In Brazil, social networks have expanded on their degree of importance for electoral campaigns, as these networks may encourage political engagement. The visibility on the web has been turned into results in the ballot boxes and/or into political capital. For this work, Netnography was used as a qualitative methodology for assessment of the hypothesis that political participation is extended with the emergence of online social networks.
