The objective is to study the housing typologies Amazon through an integrated view between the physical and environmental conditions and thermal sensation of users. The housing typologies selected refer to spaces spontaneously produced in areas, continental and insular, in Belém (PA), and also the spaces formally produced in urban resettlement area, a Vila da Barca. The environmental assessment favors the proposed solution and research experience in spatial typologies culturally constructed to support proposals for social housing in the Amazon environment, despite the appreciation of human and environmental effects of housing assistance. The strategy adopted includes qualitative and quantitative methods. Uses consultation tools applied to residents of the dwelling and also studied the use of computational tools, the EnergyPlus. The results indicate environmental conditions and well-being perceived by residents in the face of conflicting local weather conditions, because despite the high temperatures present data with over 60% of annual hours outside the comfort conditions, the questionnaire responses were obtained with the locals positive in relation to the same as satisfaction with living conditions, especially the residents of housing typologies located in the island municipality of Bethlehem.

Investigação projetual em habitação social: o caso “Vila da Barca” (Belém-PA)

It’s been investigated spatial solutions in the production of housing in the urban context, adopting as a study case the area of Vila da Barca in Belém-PA to spatial patterns of spontaneous production and the formal production of housing in the area. The strategy defines the investigation of configurational parameters of the geometric nature of architectural space in recurrent spontaneous production of housing observed in the design of the floor plan for comparison between the types of housing as stilt-type, townhouse of formal production by the existence of the "Conflict Architectural" the solutions adopted for the analysis of three aspects: transitional spaces between the house and the street, the shape and size of the living spaces and housing internal distribution by the study of movement, the latter supplemented with topological analysis using maps generated by the Program Dephtmap. The results show the architectural conflict between spontaneous and formal production of housing, confirming the stilt-type as an important reference in the experience of the riverside residents without remains, however, as a reference in terms of formal production of housing in architectural design

This academic work is a journey to the center of the COHAB program (housing estate). In this journey, popular culture and science tools are used in theory and practice. Urban peripheral landscapes are spaces that reflect the urban geography of popular housing, supported by statistical housing data and the residents' view of their homes. Bibliographical research was carried out on the urban and housing issue in Brazil, focusing on two states: Pará and Minas Gerais, where field surveys were carried out in the housing estates of two municipalities (Bragança-PA and Patos de Minas-MG), in two biomes (Amazônia and Cerrado). In interviews and exchange of sustainable ideas with the residents, knowledge was woven into intercultural collaborations. When researching the housing deficit and the housing program Minha Casa Minha Vida, it was sought to understand how this program was developed in order to remedy homelessness in the country. It was developed action research and ecopedagogy practices, both as means of research, as well as a teaching laboratory for the development of materials and pedagogical methods. Subsequent to the bibliographic study and field research, some possible sustainable solutions for COHAB housing are proposed. Sustainable techniques of Permaculture are presented, which provide a more ecological management in human occupation. There was a practical study of some of these techniques in school space, and with these experiences it was possible to verify that there are many possibilities for creative actions in ecopedagogical education, where different age groups in different spaces (classrooms, squares or streets) can think together about topics related to housing and ecology. All these research processes led to the creation of pedagogical materials and methods, which stimulated ecological literacy and the valorization of ethnobiodiversity. In this journey, it was possible to cooperate and disseminate sustainable techniques, in an academic and popular laboratory that united knowledge in thinking about the "house" and its geographic dimensions (philosophical, environmental and social), exercising collective thinking from scale models and games built and reflected in the COHAB housing study. The journey is a decolonial turn in the dwelling field, space that it is territory and place to educate.

A study carried out in an area of government policy for housing resettlement called Vila da Barca, in Belém-PA, is presented. The research relates theory and practice of architecture in the building design scope by means of analytical categories of topological nature, described and characterized by the amazon stilt house type, in order to highlight the importance of the act of designing social housing by the meaning of the Amazonian tradition. The incorporation of the type as a starting point for designing and as part of a systemic design process is discussed. The methodological strategy adopted focuses on the relationship between physical space and experience of dwellers evaluated in the context of informal production of housing in the Vila da Barca community and of formal production of housing in government action Vila da Barca's Project. The results found in the area of informal production of housing revealed the strong identification of the dwellers with the elements of topological basis of amazon stilt house type, which demonstrates the significance of the spatial relationships investigated referring to the tradition of dwelling riverside in Amazon. The same relationship was observed in housing units of the Vila da Barca Project that have been modified by dwellers throughout their process of adaptation to the resettlement housing. It is concluded that the discussion of systemic design process with theoretical support of cybernetics, has in the type an important indicator of architectural quality.
