In order to improve the ongoing process of managing groundwaters in the State of Rondonia we collected the results of 384 physical-chemical and / or bacteriological analyses of wells on file in the 2nd Socio-Economic and Ecological Zonation of the State of Rondonia, Brazil - ZSEE / RO, submitted by localities. We then treated and reorganized these data according to hydrographic basins using spreadsheets. We sought to characterize the quality of groundwater in major watersheds of the state of Rondonia by considering physical (color, pH and turbidity), chemical (chloride, total iron, sulfate, oxygen consumption, total hardness, calcium hardness, magnesium hardness, total solids, nitrogen as nitrite, nitrogen as nitrate, free carbon dioxide and HCO3 alkalinity) and bacteriological (standard bacterial counts of most probable number of coliform bacteria, most probable number of fecal coliform bacterial, most probable number of colonies - membrane filter method) properties. In order to test the adjustment of the data obtained to a normal distribution, we used the Kolmogorov-Smirnov method, modified by Lilliefors. The study revealed that the groundwater analyzed had good physical-organoleptic properties; the basins of the Madeira and of the Machado rivers showed the greatest changes in pH values, chloride and nitrate, indicative of a loss of quality of groundwater resources depending on population density. The Abunan river basin revealed the highest risk of fecal contamination, with water samples generally showing results that exceeded the bacteriological standards, thus requiring treatment by chlorination or boiling and filtration before human consumption.

An analysis of total phosphorus dispersion in lake used as a municipal water supply
(Academia Brasileira de Ciências, 2015-09) LIMA, Romulo Correa; MESQUITA, André Luiz Amarante; BLANCO, Claudio José Cavalcante; SANTOS, Maria de Lourdes Souza; SECRETAN, Yves
In Belém city is located the potable water supply system of its metropolitan area, which includes, in addition to this city, four more municipalities. In this water supply complex is the Água Preta lake, which serves as a reservoir for the water pumped from the Guamá river. Due to the great importance of this lake for this system, several works have been devoted to its study, from the monitoring of the quality of its waters to its hydrodynamic modeling. This paper presents the results obtained by computer simulation of the phosphorus dispersion within this reservoir by the numerical solution of two-dimensional equation of advection-diffusion-reaction by the method θ/SUPG. Comparing these results with data concentration of total phosphorus collected from November 2008 to October 2009 and from satellite photos show that the biggest polluters of the water of this lake are the domestic sewage dumps from the population living in its vicinity. The results obtained indicate the need for more information for more precise quantitative analysis. However, they show that the phosphorus brought by the Guamá river water is consumed in an area adjacent to the canal that carries this water into the lake. Phosphorus deposits in the lake bottom should be monitored to verify their behavior, thus preventing the quality of water maintained therein.

This work has as main objective to analyze the perception of students of a college located in the Municipality of Belém, capital of the State of Pará, on the quality of water consumed daily, as well as to verify how this theme is approached in the school context, using the Critical analysis of the political pedagogical project of the college, physical, chemical and microbiological analysis of the water consumed and the application of the questionnaire to the students, being these students of disciplines related to the Environment theme. The number of interviewees consisted of 62 students from the 6th to the 9th year of elementary education in the morning and afternoon periods, during the first semester of 2016. The dissemination and discussion of the results obtained in the research took place in the Cultural Scientific Show of the school, through Of banners and workshops, games, experiments, videos, among other activities, where it was possible to verify students' understanding of the issue of quality and importance of water, problems related to water use in neighborhoods and alternatives Conservation of water resources. Comparing the students' answers on the subject, the results of the physical, chemical and microbiological analysis of the water consumed by these students, as well as the critical analysis of the PPP, it is possible to verify that the poor quality of the water indicated in the physical, Was perceived by the students. When questioned about water supply, a significant majority of the students pointed out the lack of water (47, 85.45%), as well as their poor quality when arriving at the residences (41; 74.55%). In addition, when asked about the fate of the city's water reservoir, most stated that it is basically for human consumption (37; 67.27%). It should be noted that the students associate the water quality with macroscopic aspects, such as presence of smell (29; 52.73%), mainly. By means of these results it was possible to determine the level of knowledge that the students have on the topic "quality of the water consumed", as well as to gather the necessary data to guide the goals of this work. Analyzing the school's Political Educational Project (PPP), it was possible to verify that educational strategies are established in the field of Environmental Education, as determined by educational guidelines. The data collected, based on the interview with the students, were determinant to associate goals that could correspond with the primary objective of the PPP, as well as to bring improvements outside the school scope with respect to the sustainable conduct in society. In this sense, it can be concluded that students have the perception of the importance of good quality water for the multiple human uses, as well as being able to identify which attitudes are detrimental to the maintenance of water quality. In summary, the study revealed that the students of the São Paulo College are aware of the problems related to the water quality of the municipality in which they live (Belém) and understand that they are also agents that cause these problems.

This work aims to understand the relation of water quality in a section of theGuamáriver, with the climatic, anthropic and social aspects in the municipality of. Thus, six collections were made at three distinct points located on the border between the municipalities of São Miguel do Guamá and Irituia; Point A (River bottom), Point B (River center) and Point C (River bottom), for two months in 2015 (Feb / Jul), in 2016 (Jan / Jun) and 2017 (Feb / Jul). These points represent the existence of human activities on the banks of the river; the red ceramic industry; domestic sewage and logging. For this, the physical chemical indicators of water quality were analyzed; pH, dissolved oxygen (mg / L), electrical conductivity (μS / cm -1), total dissolved solids (mg / L), water temperature (ºC) and turbidity (NTU). In addition to the monthly and daily atmospheric data of the Southern Oscillation Index and the CMORPH precipitation, respectively. For the calculation of the flow of the Guamá river (m³ / s) the method of regionalization of minimum flows in basins through interpolation in geographic information system. The socio-environmental indicators of HDI-M, coverage by water supply system (%), coverage by sewage system (%), diarrhea morbidity and gastroenteritis (number of hospitalizations) and surface water availability were used for the social analysis. m³ / s) in the period from 1991 to 2010. For analysis of the data, we applied the multivariate statistical analysis - Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and the linear regression method, by obtaining Pearson 's linear correlation coefficient (r). The main results are: strong positive and negative correlations between precipitation, flow and water quality indicators during the extreme climatic El Niño 2015-2016. In the study of the social aspect, there were strong correlations between the data of HDI-M with the water supply system (%), sewage network (%), surface water availability (m³ / s). In general, the research sought to make an analysis of the water quality of the Guamáriver based on the interdisciplinary aspect, showing the pioneering study for the region.

Belém is located in the estuarine region, conformed by the Guajarino Estuary, which integrates the Marajoara Gulf, whose fluvial environment is formed at the confluence of the rivers Pará, Tocantins, Acará and Guamá (IPEA, 2016). The water level of the Guajarino Estuary presents fluctuations associated with the seasonal effect (seasonal variations of the rain in the hydrological basins) and the tide (variations of the tide level). The elaboration of this study is due to the fact that the seasonal variations seem to be associated to the environmental changes, that occur in the ecosystem, such as the effect of hydrological seasonality - tides and rainfall. The present study will analyze the physico-chemical components of the Guajará Bay water, relating them to the tides and the hydrological dynamics of the Guamá and Pará rivers, also in this research will be made the analysis of the role of precipitation in the alteration of the water bay physicochemical components. Initially, a descriptive statistic was made, verifying the values of the averages, of the maximum and minimum, facilitating to observe which are in agreement with the current resolution of CONAMA 357/2005. It was also applied the statistical method of Pearson correlation to evaluate the degree of relationship between variables, the correlation was first studied between physico-chemical parameters, thus, it was observed that the parameters that have a strong positive correlation were the electrical conductivity, TDS and salinitiy. The other parameters did not presented significative correlation, demonstrating that they were independent of each other. When applying the correlation between the physical-chemical parameters and the rainfall, no positive or negative correlation was found between these variables, meaning that the role of the rainfall city of Belém, was not mostly important in the variation of the physico-chemical components of the bay and this was also the case for the relationship between the parameters and the tide heights. The behavior graphs of the physical-chemical parameters, in relation to rainfall, showed that among the nine parameters analyzed, six parameters were altered, such as: pH, temperature, electrical conductivity, TDS, salinity, OD and Turbidity. These parameters have changed due to precipitation. The results of the parameters regardind the tides were observed among the nine parameters studied, decreasing the temperature, and increasing the values of electrical conductivity, TDS, salinity and turbidity.

The springs of Utinga, formed by the Bolonha and Água Preta lakes, are contained in an Área de Proteção Ambiental - APA and are used by the Companhia de Saneamento do Pará - COSANPA, to supply the population of the Região Metropolitana de Belém - RMB. These springs are formed by Guamá River, where water is captured and sent to the Água Preta lake by pumping, which in an artificial channel with gravity flow, feeds the Bolonha lake, and since it is pumped to the Estação de Tratamento de Água - ETA. The main problems of pollution / contamination of water sources appeared to advancing urban disordered, giving rise to the improper release of sewage and solid waste from neighborhoods, slums and housing estates close to the main springs. The objective of this study was to use tools to support monitoring and knowledge of water quality in the Água Preta lake, to prevent and / or correct degradation processes. These tools are multivariate analysis of abiotic parameters and chlorophyll a, nutrient balance and hydrodynamic modeling aiming to observe the dispersion of sediment transport. Samples were collected in surface water at three points strategically chosen to assess the anthropogenic influence in the Água Preta lake and sediments that are suspended matter carried into the lake. The sampling points were georeferenced using GPS (GARMIN Model) and the sampling of surface water were performed with the Van Dorn bottle 2.5 L and transported to the Laboratório de Química Ambiental (LQA), located at the Universidade Federal Rural da Amazônia, for further analysis. Samples were collected during the months of March, May, June, August, September and October in 2010, coinciding with periods of higher and lower rainfall. The data of abiotic parameters and chlorophyll a were analyzed by methods of descriptive statistics and principal component analysis. Analyses were also carried out analysis of the mass balance of water and nutrients and adopted the use of hydrodynamic model of the modeling program SisBAHIA (Sistema Base de Hidrodinâmica Ambiental), aimed to mimic the hydrodynamic conditions of the Água Preta lake during a year. Through these simulations were generated maps of surface currents to observe the different patterns of movement, since the use of models have played an important role in planning and development of alternative scenarios that include the proper diagnosis of the water systems in its structure, process and dynamics. The parameters studied showed variations during periods of lower and higher rainfall, higher contribution being found in point 2 in respect of turbidity, color, DO, nitrate, NT, chlorophyll a and suspended solids were found larger contribution in points 2. The other parameters (N -ammonia, BOD and PT) had contribution in points 1 and 3, indicating a source of organic pollution, due to domestic sewage, since there are nearby dumping of sewage. In the mass balance was found that both the PT and NID were influenced by the load of water river Guamá during the lower rainfall. While with high rainfall total phosphorus load was higher due to higher contribution from dewatering of sewage released into the reservoir. The retention time for the PT was 180 days and 536 days was NID. Through this balance could quantify the entry, retention and export of nutrients as well as to evaluate the potential for eutrophication of reservoirs. In the hydrodynamic model showed that the distribution of the module speed was identical for each month of the year, regardless of wind direction, with the riparian vegetation around that water environment this important role in reducing the speed modular surface of the water. However near the output channel of pond water was observed a change of speed 0.32 m /s in the rainy season and 0.28 m / s during the dry period that can be related to the precipitation. Furthermore, the input of water in the tank forms a vortex tending to sedimentation process, a fact observed in the bathymetry. The sedimentation at this point be given especially in periods with lower precipitation, because COSANPA increases the flow of water intake to maintain the level of the reservoir to supply the Região Metropolitana de Belém, providing the greatest contribution of suspended sediment, a fact observed with the parameters of turbidity, color and suspended solids, which have higher concentrations at this point and a decrease as they move away to step 3 (water outlet channel for the connection). These tools are of great importance for maintenance of the spring, since they will allow diagnosing the lake capacity tends of retain and remove nutrients as well as the process of the hydrodynamic circulation allowing check sites that can have a major and minor deposition of materials suspended in water column. Through this study will provide data that subsidizes the competent authorities the future and help in the conservation of other sources used to supply water to cities.

Aspectos geoambientais dos recursos hídricos do Rio Cuinarana, Magalhães Barata - Pará
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-11-29) SILVA, Silvano Costa da; FERREIRA, Cristiane de Paula; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7804816854015308
The present work had the objective of mapping the Cuinarana river basin and describing the state of conservation of the sources in the municipality of Magalhães Barata, northern Pará, through an environmental diagnosis of the headwaters and cartographic production of thematic maps, in order to subsidize actions to promote the maintenance and sustainable use of water resources. It should be noted that there is no information of this nature for the studied municipality and therefore the area was chosen for the study, as a way of detecting the environmental problems in this basin, in order to develop public policies directed to environmental education. The study identified the situations of degradation of the main springs, in addition to georeferencing the Cuinarana River. The procedures adopted for the elaboration of the environmental diagnosis of the headwaters were based on evaluation protocols, which emphasize the physical integrity of the habitat around the headwaters, observing the aspects of the use and occupation of the soil, predominant vegetation, characteristic of the springs, its uses and the state of conservation. For the river maps, the boundary of the Cuinarana River basin was based on georeferenced relief data from the area in question, derived from the dot matrix products of the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM), prepared by the US government agency National Aeronautics and Space Admistration ( NASA), and provided with correction calculations by the National Institute of Space Research (INPE), Brazil. The results obtained demonstrated that of the 11 springs raised, three 3 are in poor condition due to environmental impacts. The information from the maps shows that the Cuinarana River basin has undergone a process of transformation due to anthropic interference, resulting in different socio-environmental problems unaccompanied by effective environmental planning policies. Faced with the problem, the research product is a didactic atlas of the Cuinarana River Hydrographic Basin, composed of 10 thematic maps.

Water is a fundamental natural resource for the maintenance of life, so it is of the utmost importance to preserve its quality. However, with the increase of anthropic activities, it has been under severe pressure, something that can affect its quality. Thus, it is necessary to monitor the water bodies, evaluating the physical, chemical and biological factors, in order to know if such activities are causing risks to the quality of this natural resource. The objective of this work was to evaluate the environmental quality of Guajará Bay, through the analysis of water quality, sediment and benthic macroinvertebrates. The collections occur in the year 2015 and 2016, in distinct seasonal periods, rainy and less rainy, characteristic of the Amazon region. The study was performed in 4 points (PT01, PT02, PT03 and PT04). In the water analysis, the physical-chemical and microbiological parameters were evaluated; in the study of the sediment (total and leachate) was quantified the Cr, Cd, Cu and Fe metals, calculating the FC (Contamination Factor), IGeo (Geoacumulation Index) and FE (Enrichment Factor); and in the analysis of the benthic macroinvertebrates the ecological descriptors and the FAB (Bioaccumulation Factor) were evaluated. In the precipitation analysis, the precipitated volume was above the average of the normal climatological in the rainy period, and in the less rainy period it was below the average. In the chemical and microbiological analyzes of the water, the OD (dissolved oxygen) parameter was below that allowed by CONAMA Resolution nº357/05, BOD (biochemical oxygen demand) and thermotolerant coliforms above the reference limit, in addition to high concentrations of COD (chemical oxygen demand) and high CE (electrical conductivity). In the evaluation of the sediment the total sediment Cd presented values above that allowed by PEL and CONAMA nº 454/12, already in the leached phase, all the metals were within the allowed by the legislation. In general, the points presented low to moderate contamination, characterized as an unpolluted environment to a moderately polluted and enriched deficiency. In the analysis of the benthic macroinvertebrates, the most representative phylum found was the Annelida, with most of the species referring to the class Polychaeta and the subclass Oligochaeta (class Clitellata). The Oligochaetas belonging to the Tubificidae family was the most prominent. Such family is characterized as tolerant and opportunistic to situations of hypoxia, being able to inhabit in environments with eutrofizada water. The results of the ecological descriptors showed that the greatest richness, abundance, diversity and better equitability were found in the less rainy period, due to the higher concentration of nutrients and organic matter caused in this period, benthic individuals presented bioaccumulation at all points for metals Cd, Cr, Cu. The results of the matrices analyzed in the study indicated that the accumulation of pollutants in Guajará bay is due to anthropic activities, mainly by the disposal of domestic sewage without pre-treatment that is launched in this region and port activity. Thus, the importance of continuous monitoring is emphasized, given that such contamination, besides causing damages to the aquatic ecosystem, causes harm to the population, since it uses this water body for practices and recreation and fishing.

Shrimp production in Amazon has a potential to rise in the next years. Litopenaeus vannamei is a marine species which is starting to be better explored in Para State. This is due to water quality, more precisely to physical, chemical, hydrologic and sanitary water condition, and sediments. We can also mention that the seasonality of region may contribute to adequate condition for L. vannamei production. The accompaniment of water conditions are indispensable to understand how the seasonality could affect the shrimp production in Para State. The management in shrimp farm could be improved with inclusion of statistic in the data from shrimp farm and this technique maybe used to model the parameters during the cultivation and, consequently, improving the production and decreasing the cost. Therefore, the Thesis aimed to evaluate the influence of seasonality in water quality and shrimp growth. To those evaluations, the shrimp production in a commercial farm (Curuçá city, PA) was evaluate during the two cycle found in the region, and the first was from January to April of 2011 (rainy season) and the second was from July to November of 2012 (less rainy season). The farm had four tanks of one hectare of water surface and those thanks were used alternately in both cycles. In general, the seasonality found in Amazon altered the water quality in both cycles, but the shrimp cultivation was not affected. In addition, the production showed to be viable economically in both periods (rainy and less rainy season). There was correlation among rainfall and shrimp production.

The process of urbanization and illegal occupation of urban channel margins nearby areas generate large impacts on these water bodies, the main one being the discharge of effluents. The channel São Joaquim, Belém Pa, is considered the largest urban channel Bethlehem, and already suffers from such impacts, as well as being affected by the lack of sanitation in its Sub Basin, such a situation can be observed in the results obtained in 12 months sampling over three points from its source to its mouth. This study aimed to analyze the said water quality Canal in physical, chemical and biological parameters through the IQA and application of descriptive statistics, analytical and multivariate analysis, being possible to observe the degradation of this water body caused mainly by organic matter, which was obtained through the OD analysis, BOD, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, and thermotolerant coliforms. The Water Quality Index was calculated for the Channel and was obtained the value of 49 classifying it as quality "acceptable." When performing a seasonal comparison between dry periods and wet, and tide conditions, using the Mann Whitney hypothesis tests and test T Student, it was observed that there was significant variability between the variables, except for the temperature, which It showed a variation between the dry and rainy seasons. The analysis of variance (ANOVA) was applied for the verification of similarity between the points for each variable analisada.Ao perform a temporal assessment of water quality of the channel between the years 1988; 2002; 2005; 2006; 2011 and 2014, it was observed that the degradation of the channel has a history of nearly 30 years, a situation confirmed by the analysis of indicator variables of organic matter. The principal component analysis led to the formation of three components that together represented 67.53% of the variability of the data, and these variables explained by the ACP, anthropic action indicative.

This research has main objective to analyze the rainwater quality in an experimental unit of rainwater harvesting and treatment (EURHT) with emphasis on the treatment by filtration in two different filters: sand plus activated carbon of açaí seed (mixed) and activated carbon of açaí seed. The research was developed in three steps: 1) installation of the two filters and characterization of the filter composition; 2) rainwater quality monitoring of EURHT, considering the variables: apparent color, turbidity, electrical conductivity, pH, total alkalinity, total coliforms and E.coli, and the investigation of the presence of microorganisms in the tank; 3) evaluation of the costs involved in the implementation of the system, considering two filtration alternatives. The sand had effective diameter of 0.62mm, uniformity coefficient of 1.42 and specific gravity of 2,632 kg/m3. Activated carbon had an effective diameter of 1.8mm, coeficiente uniformity of 0.58, a humidity of 2.10%, and density of 0.358 g/cm3. Activated carbon filter had a flow rate of 0.35 m³/h, higher than the mixed filter (0.20 m³/h), even as the filtration rate was higher (34.26 m³/m2.d) and the Mixed filter of 19.19 m³/m2.d. The roof contributed to rainwater quality degradation, increasing the values of apparent color, turbidity, electrical conductivity and total alkalinity in relation to atmospheric water, which was already expected; The self-cleaning didn’t had a proptious performance, because there was increase in the variables value apparent color, turbidity, total coliforms and E. Coli in relation to water collected after the roof; The tank was the part of system that best contributed to the improvement of rainwater quality, because there was a decrease in the variables value apparent color, turbidity and electrical conductivity in relation to water after self-cleaning; The mixed filter and the activated carbon filter didn’t had a proptious performance, because decrease the water quality arriving from the tank for all variables. The mixed filter get better results than activated carbon filter. The mixed filter was also the best financial alternative in the system. In the tank were found about 7 different microorganisms, between them: zooplankton, algae frustules and fungal spores. EURHT didn’t produce rainwater for drinking purposes, because there were pathogenic microorganisms, besides values of variables above the limit of the ordinance 2914 (BRASIL, 2011), and there is a requirement for disinfection at end of the treatment process.

This study aims to use the risk assessment approach FMEA as control and safety methodology of water quality in Belém supply system. During the monitoring period were determined indicators free residual chlorine, turbidity, apparent color, pH, fluoride, total iron, total coliforms and E. coli. Collections and analyzes were performed in 46 points of Belém supplies central zone, including water treatment plants, reservoirs drop in the sectors and in the supply network. Each set of data received descriptive statistical analysis, outlier removal and passed the Kruskal Wallis test to determine significant differences between indicators of different supply sectors. It was found that the 3680 measurements, 706 showed no compliance with potability standards (BRASIL, 2011), of which 582 were in the supply network, 92 on the reservoirs drop in the sectors and 32 at treatment plants. The FMEA methodology was applied to all the analyzed indicators, and the points were divided into three groups: REDE, DRS and ETA’s. For the REDE group were identified 18 points of moderate risk and 18 points high risk. For the DRS group and ETA’s all the points were moderate risk. In this research there was no occurrence of despicable risk and critical. The indicators fluoride, total coliforms and E. coli were the most influential, accounting for approximately 15% in the risk weights. However, fluoride indicator contributes to increase the category of risk, because it showed 100% nonconformities with the fluor standards (BRASIL, 1975) in every point. After the categorization of risk, were prepared two maps, one with points and other with contours, representing the risks related to the quality of water for each one of the studied points. The contoured map was best represented the risk, as it presented more comprehensive information.

The cultivation of oyster species of the genus Crassostrea is expanding in the northeast of the Brazilian state of Pará. This study analyzes the sanitary quality of the oysters and the water in which they are cultivated in the local municipality of São Caetano de Odivelas and Curuçá. Samples were collected monthly between June, 2009, and May, 2010. Water samples were collected from the flood and the ebb tides, and approximately 15 oysters were obtained each month. Coliform concentrations were determined using the multiple-tube fermentation technique, followed by the biochemical identification of the bacteria and determination the susceptibility profile of Escherichia coli isolated from oysters and water samples. The geometric mean concentration of thermotolerant coliforms in the water was 119 MPN/100 mL in São Caetano de Odivelas and 163,21 MPN/100 mL in Curuçá, well above the limit of 43 MPN/100 mL established by the Brazilian National Environment Council (CONAMA). As Brazilian legislation on the sanitary quality of bivalve mollusks covers only the processed product, the European Union legislation, which assigns oysters for raw consumption to three sanitary classes, was adopted for the evaluation of the results of the present study. In São Caetano de Odivelas only two of the samples collected during this study were assigned to class A, seven samples to class B and three samples to class C. While in Curuçá three samples were assigned to class A, seven samples to class C and two samples to class C. The results suggest the need for mitigation measures to ensure the health quality of the oysters, such as the application of methods of depuration.

The intense urbanization, added to the populational growth, stimulates the development of activities that provoke environment impacts. Among the activities with great potential for pollution generation and contamination, it is observerd those related to the environmental sanitation”. This study breaches the caracterization of the “Physical-chemical” parameters of water quality in the “Aura” river. According to the CONAMA 357/2005. The field of study comprehends the area of the “Aura” upstream river. The work metodology consists in the realization of field samples, in target places distributed along it’s course, for the determination of the “physical-chemical” variables. The results show a direct relation with the populational growth and the dicharge of poluents throughout the working period of the landfill, observed important alterations in color, oxigen dissolution and concentration of amoniacal nitrogen, largerly above the stipulated by the actual resolution (CONAMA 357/2005 água classe II), suggesting great organic matter consumption , the application of DOE-WQI allowed the observation of the most impacted regions with discharge and the slurry’s percolation.

Caracterização hidroquímica dos aquíferos freáticos costeiros na cidade de Salinópolis-PA.
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-06-08) RODRIGUES, Érika do Socorro Ferreira; CORRÊA, José Augusto Martins; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6527800269860568
The city of Salinópolis is located in northeast Pará, Bragantina region, on Pará State. The geology of the area is characterized by a sedimentary cover Tertiary represented by Pirabas Formation , Barreiras Group and overlying these rocks may occur sandy-clay sediments to clay-sand the quaternary called Pós -Barreiras sediments. The main hydrogeological systems Salinópolis, in general, are: a) upper aquifer system developed in the Pós-Barreiras, unconfined aquifers; b) aquifer system Barreiras, unconfined aquifers and semi-confined; c) aquifer system Pirabas, deeper confined aquifers, which is an outcropping aquifer in the region. For the study were registered 22 wells of which 17 shallow wells with depths up to 30 m (PT), two dug wells (AM) and 3 sources (FT). The collection of samples was performed at intervals of two months for a full hydrological cycle, May 2014 to March 2015. The main quality parameters investigated were water temperature, pH, electrical conductivity, alkalinity, total dissolved solids and main ions : cations (Na+, K+, NH4+, Ca2+, Mg2+) and anions (F-, Cl-, NO3- and SO42-). Hydrochemical four groups were identified in the Piper diagram: group 1 (SO4-, Cl- and Na+) that resembles the aquifer Barreiras. In the waters of group 3 rich in calcium and bicarbonate is identified with the Pirabas water aquifer (HCO3- and Ca2+) since the water in groups 2 and 4 showed characteristics of group 1 and 3. From Piper diagrams, it was observed that with increasing water recharge the group 2 and 4 water had a water connection behavior, migrating to another group hydrochemical. In Scholler diagram, even identifying the main ions was possible to see that there are mixtures in water of the same hydrochemical group, visualized by the provision in fan. In Diagram Van Wirdum was identified climate and rocks actions on the aquifers hydrochemistry. Range distribution has been observed that with the beginning of the drought wells located in car washes and near gas stations as well as near the beach and estuarine rivers showed an increase of ions dissolved in the water. As well as in natural sources or springs there was a large increase in number of ions, especially the sulfate Climate Influence, rock, ocean waters, estuarine rivers, as well as the contribution of the aquifer Barreiras and Pirabas showed a peculiar hydrochemical composition in the waters of aquifers shallow coastal city in Salinópolis.

(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017) NASCIMENTO, Gerson Flôres; QUEIROZ, Joaquim Carlos Barbosa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4383935463464893
This work was carried out an area about 100 km2 in the urban perimeter of the municipality of Porto Velho - RO, where samples of groundwater of 119 wells were collected; Whose main objective was the elaboration of a groundwater quality index (IQAS). For this study, 24 variables (Electrical Conductivity, ORP, TDS, Salinity, Bicarbonate, Air Temperature, Water Temperature, Turbidity, Sulphate, Chloride, Water Hardness, Resistivity, Static Level, Ca Ion, pH, Nitrate, OD, M Ion (??), Na Ion, Ammonia Ion, Fe ion, Fluor, Mn Ion and K Ion), which were obtained from secondary data of the Brazilian Geological Survey (CPRM). The information on the contents of the studied parameters were analyzed in electronic spreadsheets where they received critical and statistical validation. From the mathematical relationships, the IQAS values were calculated using the factorial analysis technique, where it was identified that the variables that most influenced in its formation were Salinity, Electrical Conductivity, TDS, Chloride, Water Hardness and Calcium. From the IQA calculated for each sample, the ordinary kriging technique was applied to produce the IQAS thematic map. With the results of this research it was possible to identify the demographic densification zones of the urban perimeter of Porto Velho with a higher or lower index of groundwater quality.

Correlação entre índice de qualidade da água e usos múltiplos na bacia hidrográfica do igarapé da Prata, Capitão Poço/PA
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-02-06) RODRIGUES, Rodrigo Silvano Silva; FERNANDES, Lindemberg Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4641468846318922
Water quality indicators are important tools for the summary and generation of solid foundations about water resources degradation. The Water Quality Index of the Environmental Company of the State of São Paulo (WQI-CETESB) is the main water quality index used in Brazil. In relation between water quality and degradation in drainage basins, it is common to associate multiple uses of soil and water. This research correlates the WQI-CETESB to multiple uses of water and soil at three collection sites in the Prata catchment, located in the municipality of Capitão Poço / PA, about 154 km east of Belém / PA. It is a rural area in northeast Pará with intense agricultural activities. It was carried out eighteen campaigns with twenty-three collections, being that are twelve ones in the rainy season and eleven ones in the less rainy season. The index was calculated from the analysis of its nine parameters: turbidity, dissolved oxygen (DO), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), total nitrogen, total phosphorus, total solids, pH, temperature and thermotolerant coliforms. The descriptive statistics was applied to synthesize the obtained data. The morphometry of the drainage areas of the collection sites was analyzed in order to understand the influence of these physical characteristics on the water quantity and quality. Soil use and coverage were mapped using georeferencing tools. The association between WQI-CETESB results and multiple uses was verified by checking the variables with the greatest influence on the value obtained for the index. Based on the WQI-CETESB, the water quality in the Prata catchment ranges between the categories Fair and Good. The values obtained in the majority did not present significant variations for the different periods (rainy and less rainy). The descriptive statistics proved to be efficient for the analysis of the results obtained from WQI-CETESB. The morphometric analysis of the drainage areas showed that the shape and the topography are not factors that impact the water quantity and quality in the catchment. The mapping of soil use and coverage and activities related to multiple uses of water, showed to be efficient as an aid in the visualization of local dynamics. The variables that most influenced the results were thermotolerant coliforms, pH, DO, BOD and total phosphorus, with representativeness associated to the three collection sites studied. The main sources of pollution raised by the mapping are strongly related to the results obtained. Targets for quality improvement and mitigation measures should be established with the aim of reducing local water degradation.
