The bauxitic Province of Paragominas, localized in the east portion the state Pará and west portion of Maranhão, occupies 50,000 km2 approximately forming the largest group of bauxite of Brazil. This work was used X-ray diffractometry, a technique that requires little analysis time, minimum pretreatment steps and small sample amounts, associated with cluster analysis for identify and group samples of same horizon of bauxitic profile of the mine Miltonia 3, Paragominas-PA. The results obtain were correlated with chemical analysis, frequently used for quality control and processing of bauxites. The samples used in this work and your chemical analysis were made available for company Norsk Hydro. The mineralogical types of ore were initially defined through clusters analysis of the XRD patterns of two sections (HIJ-229 e HIJ-231) from polling mesh, with 23 holes each section, and with 375 samples analyzed in all. Based on peak position and intensity of the pattern XRD was possible discern the bauxitics horizons. Due the mineralogic similarity this horizon, the differences found in this group refer principals proportions of minerals constituents: Gibbsite, kaolinite, goethite, hematite, and, more rarely, quartz and anatase. Thought clusters analyses was possible to separate by group a set of similar samples, besides facilitate the analysis of many samples quickly and with efficient results. It was possible yet observe a good correlation of the clusters with the lithotypes identified by the company Norsk Hydro through the results of the chemical analysis. In this way, the analysis of clusters in diffractograms of samples of aluminum ore can be an efficient tool aiding in the protocols of processing of this material.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Investigação de efeitos mutagênicos em trabalhadores expostos à radiação ionizante no Brasil(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-12-18) CUNHA JUNIOR, Luiz Raimundo Campos da Silva e; BURBANO, Rommel Mario Rodriguéz; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4362051219348099Ionizing radiation (IR) are present in most of the early diagnosis of a multitude of diseases, many cancers are included, and have the characteristic of a quick and accurate diagnosis, and often cheaper. The use of this type of energy but requires specific care protection, since the IR has a characteristic of altering the genetic material through mutations. The radiology area operators in hospitals are the class of workers who are exposed more directly and thus are targets of investigations that may assist in understanding the interaction of IR with the biological material, in addition to assisting these professionals in requirement radiological protection. We collected 73 samples of individuals working in various radiology departments in five hospitals in four different states in Brazil (São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul and Pará). The selection criteria for participation were: at least 18 years old and 2 years in the profession, not alcoholic or smoker, not taking drugs. For cytogenetic analysis were performed the comet test and micronucleus, and chromosome aberration study. This study was approved by ethics committee. All the samples were compared to individuals of the same age and gender who have not gone through any kind of radiological examination in the last 6 meses.Quando compared with the control, MN tests and AC showed a total damage, using the t test, the database and SPSS BioEstat. The comet assay showed a higher level of damage compared to controls (0.84 0,47). The average age was established and made relationship between gender and age of the participants, the more damage levels in females compared to males. Individuals aged over 45 years also showed a higher level of damage when compared with the age. A factor to be taken into consideration is that the population of Porto Alegre present a lower level of damage compared to other groups, and most likely this event due to the use of DR equipment Direct conversion. The Belo Horizonte and Ribeirão Preto equipment using CR and Belém, conventional.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Isolation, X-ray crystal structure and theoretical calculations of the new compound 8-Eepicordatin and identification of others terpenes and steroids from the bark and leaves of Croton palanostigma Klotzsch(2010) BRASIL, Davi do Socorro Barros; MÜLLER, Adolfo Henrique; GUILHON, Giselle Maria Skelding Pinheiro; ALVES, Claudio Nahum; PERIS, Gabriel; LLUSAR, Rosa; MOLINER, VicentPhytochemical studies of the bark and leaves of Croton palanostigma Klotzsch (Euphorbiaceae) led to the isolation of a new clerodane diterpene, 8-epicordatin (2), in addition to 12-oxohardwickiic acid methyl ester (3), aparisthman, cordatin (1), ent-trachyloban-18-oic acid, ent-13-epimanoyl oxide, ent-3-oxo-13-epimanoyl oxide, ent-3β-hydroxy-13-epimanoyl oxide, sitosterol, stigmasterol, stigmastan-3-one, 6β-hydroxystigmast-4-en-3-one, 6β-hydroxystigmasta-4,22-dien-3-one, stigmast-4-en-3-one, stigmasta-4,22-dien-3-one, 3-O-acetylaleuritolic acid, 11α-hydroxyurs-12-en-3-one, α-amyrenone, 24-methylenecycloartenone and lupenone. These compounds were isolated using typical phytochemical procedures and the structures were deduced from spectroscopic studies, including 2D NMR experiments. In addition, the crystalline structure of 8-epicordatin (2) was determined by X-ray diffraction. NMR theoretical calculations at the B3PW91/DGDZVP level were used to confirm the assignment of the chemical shifts of the H-7α and H-7β hydrogens of 8-epicordatin.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Synthesis, X-ray crystal structure and theoretical calculations of antileishmanial neolignan analogues(2010) NASCIMENTO, Josenaide Pereira do; SANTOS, Lourivaldo da Silva; SANTOS, Regina Helena de Almeida; TOZZO, Érica; FERREIRA, Janaina Gomes; CARMO, Maria Carolina Lima do; BRASIL, Davi do Socorro Barros; ALVES, Claudio NahumThe synthesis and X-ray crystal diffraction structure of two analogues of neolignans, 2-(4-chlorophenyl)-1-phenylethanone (20) and 2-[(4-chlorophenyl)thio]-1-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)propan-1-one (12) is described. The compound 12 presents activity against intracellular Leishmania donovani and Leishmania amazonensis amastigotes that cause cutaneous and visceral leishmaniasis. In addition, the density functional theory (DFT) with the B3LYP hybrid functional was employed to calculate a set of molecular descriptors for nineteen synthetic analogues of neolignans with antileishmanial activities. Afterwards, the stepwise discriminant analysis was performed to investigate possible relationship between the molecular descriptors and biological activities. Through this analysis the compounds were classified into two groups active and inactive according to their degree of biological activities, and the more important properties were charges on some key atoms, electronic affinity and ClogP.
