Considering Brazilian education as a constructor of a hegemonic educational discourse in the sense of reproducing stereotypes towards the Afro-Brazilian populations, this study aims to dialogue with the narrative poems of Pelé do Manifesto in the attempt to promote reflections in school space about the historical consciousnesses, as well as of the historical identities that their compositions may engender. The methodological treatment developed by this research was based on the analysis of the rapper's musical compositions lyrics, as well as on interviews he granted, as well as the execution of a pedagogical intervention project that allowed the application of his lyrics in school space. In this way, the musical compositions of the Rap genre, written by Pelé do Manifesto, can be observed as being fruitful in the process of constructing historical identities, which allows us to conclude that Rap music mobilizes historical knowledge - which is resulting from practical life experiences - and presents itself as a fruitful didactic language in the teaching of History, contributing to the awakening of an identity affinity with Afro-Brazilian populations.

In 1994 saw the first appearance of a rap group in the city of Belém do Pará. Emerging from the Terra Firme neighborhood, on the outskirts of Belém, the MBGC group - Manos da Baixada do Grosso Calibre - revolutionized with a new musical style to portray the reality of Belém's outskirts. Since the 1980s, a time of great change in cultural representation, including the historiographical sphere, rap has spread worldwide as a way of mirroring popular culture and the dissatisfactions suffered in neighborhoods far from the centers. It emerged in the 1970s in the United States, after a period of great crisis, as an innovative way of getting around the neglect experienced by young people in marginalized neighbourhoods. On the Brazilian scene, rap began as a form of entertainment and later became politicized. Thaide and DJ Hum started national rap and soon other names emerged, gaining prominence, such as Racionais Mc's, who gave rap an engaged form. As a result of these events and the visibility of rapping in the Belém newspapers and hip hop culture, the musical style gained strength and influenced new subjects in the region, paying attention to the Amazonian scenario and the difficulties suffered by the city's neighborhoods, including artists from Pará such as Pelé do Manifesto and Th do 91, with great visibility in "abolitionist poems". In this way, the general aim of this work is to understand the possibilities of the rap musical style as being susceptible to historical analysis and understanding, in that it includes people from the periphery - Pelé do Manifesto, Th do 91 and others who started the movement such as Mc Negro Edi, Bruno BO, Marcelo Muslim, Dj Morcegão - with their rhymes loaded with aspects of diasporic culture. Rap is a style characterized as "spoken song", which seeks to counter social, economic, cultural and historical injustices, and takes on the role of portraying realities faced strictly by black people, and can therefore be characterized as an effect of colonization. In view of this, it is noticeable that it stimulates thoughts contrary to a formed hegemony, in order to confront cultural tensions and racism.

This dissertation presents an intervention proposal, in which music is the main articulating element of classes, actions and activities within the context of history teaching. Thus, this work proposes an action of Education through Hip-Hop, especially its musical aspect, Rap with the creation of a teaching methodology resulting from the result of the research and that can be perfectly used by any teacher and in any school. For its realization, we use the participation of rappers from Pará as an articulating element, due to the fact that they allow a better tuning with Hip-Hop Education, this intervention being adaptable to the 9th grade of elementary school curriculum. This dissertation had as its final product the methodology itself, created by the students in partnership with the rappers and the professor-researcher. This methodology is composed of seven activities, being an amazing experience from the pedagogical point of view, as it allowed themes apparently distant from history, but close to the students' reality, to become extremely productive. The main theoretical references that guided the work were Edward Thompson, with his history seen from below; Roberto Camargos, with his reflections on rap and politics; and Paulo Freire, through his emancipatory pedagogy.
