    This research was organized around the production of a small wooden object, so as to try to depict its biography, from a point of observation at enterprise Móveis Souza, where it is conceived and made. In achieving the production of this object cooperate the owner and his son, as well as the wife of the former who manages the family business. Object creation, which means art to the owner, as well as the specific work organizatioen constitute unique conditions which are essential to achieve the production of such object. Moreover, the circumstances in which the owner starts using wood residues, and how this decision attaches environmental quality to production, which on its turn is the central elements connected to the invention of a regional production. The introduction of design in the state of Pará mediates the invention of Pará and Amazonian regional products.

    Alumina para utilização cerâmica, obtida a partir do rejeito de beneficiamento de caulim

    The kaolin processing for paper covering produces a great volume of residues formed primarily by kaolinite claymineral, here the starting material for the synthesis of ammonium alumen aiming to obtain free sodium alumina with fine grade for ceramic manufacturing. The synthesis process to obtain ammonium alumen consisted of the following procedures: residues calcination and sulphuric leaching of metakaolinite followed by neutralization/crystallisation of aluminum sulphate solution with ammonium hydroxide concentrated solution. The effect of calcination temperature (650 °C, 700 °C and 750 °C), calcination time of residues (30 min, 60 min and 120 min), sulphuric acid concentration as well as leaching temperature (70 °C, 80 °C and 90 °C) on the kinetics of aluminum leaching were studied. The influence of pH on ammonium alumen crystallization was also studied. Data on chemical analysis, XRD, DTA, TGA and granulometry of the material utilized and synthesized are presented and discussed.

    This thesis addresses the management of household solid waste in Bethlehem, its treatment and the possibility of generating income through recycling of solid waste. In order to understand the solid waste management and recycling market in the city Bethlehem this thesis examined the current structure of waste management and collection work done by selective Belém Prefecture (PMB). Will also be objects of study in this work the legislation that deals with specific issues of solid waste, established with the Solid Waste Policy, through the National Environment Council (CONAMA) in which we highlight the current National Policy on Solid Waste Management. It started from the assumption that in Bethlehem the difference between waste generated and waste introduced into the recycling process is very large, so that the productivity of recycling processes is insufficient. The survey was conducted using data from the State Department of Environment (SEMA), the Municipal Sanitation (SESAN), the Municipal Coordination and Project Management (SEGEP) and the Department of Municipal Solid Waste (DRES) as well as through the use of questionnaires and interviews with officials involved in the recycling chain. From the analysis conducted for the dissertation found that waste management in the city is still deficient, the survey shows that only two districts served by the Bethlehem home selective collection, the landfill that the city is working with its ability Support exhausted and that way the city government is very far from the standards to fit the new National Policy on Solid Waste Management (PNRS).

    Produção de biocombustíveis em diferentes escalas via craqueamento térmico catalítico de resíduos de caixa de gordura com catalisador Na2CO3

    This paper presents the residual fat taken from retaining grease traps as a potential feedstock for the production of alternative and renewable fuels. The residual oil was used as filler in experiments catalytic thermal cracking countertop units, Semi-pilot and pilot. Different levels of sodium carbonate (5%, 10% and 15%) were used as a catalyst in the catalytic thermal craqueamneto experiments. Organic liquids (PLO's) obtained in the cracking experiments were distilled in distillation units in bench and pilot scale. Distillation processes resulted in the development of hydrocarbon fractions in kerosene bands, light and heavy diesel. The PLO's with the green light and heavy diesel fractions were characterized according to the specifications established by the standard of ANP 65 for diesel S10. The green kerosene fractions were characterized according to the specifications established by the standard of ANP 37 for petroleum-based kerosene. The results showed that the PLO's had low values for the acid value, moreover, it was confirmed that the use of different percentages of catalyst ash in the three scales of production contributed to obtaining promising results in terms of yield and physico -chemical and compositional, indicating the efficiency of this basic catalyst. The results also showed that the fractions of green kerosene, heavy and light green diesel had low levels of free fatty acids, significant income and physical and chemical characteristics in line with their respective standards. The experiments using the percentage of 10% sodium carbonate as catalyst showed the highest incomes, lower levels of acidity and the best results of physicochemical and compositional characterization of all the tests in this study. The PLO produced using the level of 10% of sodium carbonate showed a total of 78.98% of hydrocarbons in the composition, while the green kerosene obtained after distillation of the same PLO showed 92.64% total hydrocarbons in its composition, these results were confirmed by analysis as FT-IR, RMN and GC-MS.
