The paper proposes a method to value the attractiveness of communities of Extractive Reserves for Community Based Tourism (TBC). Taking as reference the Extractive Reserve Mapuá, Archipelago of the Marajó. The research aimed to analyze the possibilities, limits and ways of increasing the TBC, developing and applying a method of valuation attractiveness for this model of tourism. The information collected was based on the methodology of analysis in Pairs, with survey data conducted from looks and technical community. The research concluded that communities have enough for TBC valuation and it is possible to value the tourist attractiveness of extractive reserves, through a specific methodology for this type of conservation unit.
