Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Comunicação e resistência: meios e usos da comunicação por grupos sociais atingidos pelo desastre da Hydro Alunorte em Barcarena, Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-10-28) SANTOS, Andressa Arielly de Souza; STEINBRENNER, Rosane Maria Albino; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1508467019000744; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-4321-7245communication triggered by the social groups affected by the Hydro Alunorte disaster, in Barcarena, Pará, located in a historical context of environmental injustice (ACSERALD, 2001) that crosses the socio-environmental conflicts in the Amazon. What motivated our study was the fact that the media coverage of the environmental disaster, denounced by local communities and occurred in the beginning of 2018, involving the leakage of tailings from the Norwegian company Hydro Alunorte, leader in the global aluminum market, has achieved national repercussion. and international, but with little space for popular and local voices (STEINBRENNER, GUERREIRO NETO; BRAGANÇA; CASTRO, 2020). Thus, our intention, based on an exploratory study of a qualitative character (YIN, 2016), considering a period of 24 months from the occurrence of the disaster, was precisely to seek the other voices, usually and historically invisible, in order to understand, from the perspective of mediatization (HEPP, 2014), the communication processes and practices (FRANCE, 2016) for resistance (PERUZZO, 1998) that mark in this period the actions of the mobilized social groups, in what we call the field of communicative resistance, in reaction to the impacts caused by the disaster and in the defense of rights and their territories in the municipality of Barcarena, understood as mining "sacrifice zone" (CASTRO, 2019).Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Entre dunas, mangue e mar: narrativas e resistências dos moradores da Ponta da Sofia em Salinas (PA)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-02-28) FERREIRA, Erika Mourão; COSTA, Vânia Maria Torres; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7517564393392394The main objective of this dissertation is to understand the interactions, narratives and resistance practices of the residents of the Ponta da Sofia community, in Salinópolis (PA), in the face of the violation of their territory for the installation of tourist developments. The study will look at the daily life of this community, its productions of meaning about history, place, environmental preservation and relationships of affection, exploring the residents' narratives, their interactions and the processes of resistance in their social and cultural practices. The methodological procedures adopted are based on qualitative research, based on data analysis through interviews (MOTTA, 2013); (GOMES, 2007), supported by ethnographic practice as defined by Rocha and Eckert (2008), and interviews. The main authors used to support the understanding of narratives and social practices include Ferdinand Tonnies (1973), Martin Buber (1987), Filho and Mendes (2014), Krenak (2021), Medeiros and Ido (2018), Gudynas (2019) and Santos (2023). The result of this investigation highlights not only the adversities faced by the residents of Ponta da Sofia, but also the resilience and depth of their connections, especially their care for the environment, since they understand the intrinsic interdependence with the ecosystem they consider their home.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A personagem Michele da série 3%: ambiguidades, patriacardo e branquitudes na construção do seu perfil(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-05-29) SANTOS, Rayza Carolina Rosa dos; SARMENTO-PANTOJA, Carlos Augusto Nascimento; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3263239932031945; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0552-4295In 2008, the children's dystopia The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins was released, a work that would influence a literary and audiovisual trend of dystopias produced for a mostly young audience, mostly starring women. And in cinema, more specifically, by white women. In this work, it is in this specific context that we analyze the protagonist Michele (Bianca Comparato), from the Brazilian series 3% (2016-2020). We analyzed the construction of its profile, highlighting the marks of patriarchal precepts and their relationships with the representation of resistance movements. The work was chosen because it was the first entirely Brazilian production by the streaming company Netflix and, consequently, because of its wide audience. The series is being studied from its production and launch context – with occasional comparisons with other dystopias and the female profiles of its protagonists – based on feminist gender theories, especially those of bell hooks (2019) and Audre Lorde (2019) and other contemporary authors. Finally, we analyze the work from the perspective of theoretical studies on whiteness and its mechanisms for maintaining power, by authors such as Linda Alcoff (2015), Cida Bento (2022), Lia Vainer (2012) and Françoise Vergès (2019) , because in this study it was possible to notice that audiovisual dystopias starring female and, mainly, white figures, have gained strength in recent years as a trend in productions made for large circulation and commercialization, being marked by representations of less radical resistance. Therefore, the work presented here will seek to highlight that despite the context of representation of resistance, the maintenance of certain aspects of the status quo is still noticeable in the narrative.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Território em transformação: conflitos na pesca artesanal – Araguari, Porto Grande, Amapá, Amazônia(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-03-25) LIMA, Laís Melo; PAULA, Cristiano Quaresma de; SILVA, Christian Nunes da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4284396736118279The main objective of this study is to discuss the factors that contributed to the changes in the territoriality of artisanal fishermen on the Araguari-Amapá River. Located in the middle of the basin, artisanal fishermen from Porto Grande are part of the group affected by the hydroelectric projects installed in the last decade. With the installation, artisanal fishermen from Araguari started to report changes in the fisheries' reproduction cycle, and consequently loss of fishing territoriality and fishing areas – occurring greater pressure on new areas and insecurity of trafficability in previously used fishing grounds. With the new use, they begin to report the occurrence of conflicts and disputes over the resource. In this way, we resort to the panorama of policies implemented over the Amazonian space to understand the strategies of use and appropriation conferred at different times by different agents, as well as the respective resistances of the fishing activity.
