Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Abordagem CTS no atendimento educacional especializado: práticas de ensino-aprendizagem em ciências para educandos (as) com deficiência intelectual(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-03-04) BARBOSA, Brena Santa Brígida; LEITÃO, Wanderléia Azevedo Medeiros; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9180849418936246; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7107-6630This is a qualitative investigation, in the participant research modality. It was developed at the Teacher Lourenço Filho Specialized Educational Assistance Center (pedagogical unit of the Pestalozzi Foundation of Pará), specifically in the Science workshop, with ten learners with intellectual disabilities. It is presents itself as a research question: in what aspects the use of sequences of activities on the theme – trash, according to the approach in Science, Technology and Society (STS) can contribute to the teaching-learning process and inclusion of learners with intellectual disabilities in Specialized Educational Assistance (SEA)? This proposal was developed with a socio-environmental project, which addressed the theme – trash, through studies on the landfill in the municipality of Marituba, with the objective of analyzing the teaching-learning process and inclusion of learners with intellectual disabilities in the context of SEA based on CTS relations, as well as investigating the potentialities and the limitations in the practices developed. The investigative instruments used: Individual Development Plan and Pedagogical Political Project; logbook; SEA plan notebook; audio and video recordings of the learners in the activities; audio recordings of the reports of the responsible and of the collaborators; individual and collective reports. It was decided to develop Laurence Bardin's Content Analysis, through the analysis of four empirical materials (individual activities, interview with a learner, collective poster and letter to the authorities), obtaining four sets of categories a posteriori. The results obtained showed that the sequences of activities developed significantly contributed to the teaching-learning process and the inclusion of learners with intellectual disabilities as some STS elements were present: dialogicity; contextualization; interdisciplinarity; active participation; collaborative learning; critical-reflexive thinking; autonomy and decision making, potentializing both the acquisition of knowledge, the use of skills and the development of values by the learners involved, as the resignification of the teaching practice itself and the attitudinal changes among the participating subjects. As a product, an e-book was prepared, aiming to collaborate with the pedagogical practice of educators who work at SEA, as well as to give didactic subsidies to educators who work in the science teaching in the common classroom, with learners with intellectual disabilities.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Análise de livros didáticos de ciências a partir do uso de analogias: obstáculos e abordagens sobre o conteúdo célula(Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso, 2019-12) LACERDA, Alan Gonçalves; BRITO, Mariane MachadoThe role of analogy and metaphor when applied to the argument, then, is to look for in the situation the elements that can fill the empty spaces inscribed in meaning. Thus, the objective was to identify obstacles of epistemological nature in science textbooks in the approaches on cellular content, the light of the theorist Gaston Bachelard, that repercute in new conceptions, limits and possibilities in the classroom. In this way, the use of analogies and metaphors to satisfy the conditions of employment seeks to promote greater understanding of the reader, although it can point to extremely complex problems by not scaling the multiple directions by which our language can evoke.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Ensino de ciências na educação infantil: uma proposta lúdica na abordagem ciência, tecnologia e sociedade(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-02-04) COSTA, Edith Gonçalves; ALMEIDA, Ana Cristina Pimentel Carneiro de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1265908866509687; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9432-2646Science teaching in Early Childhood Education has consolidated an important space in research in the field of education and in teaching practices, promoting new ways of thinking about the education of young children. In this vein, this study aimed to analyze the contributions of the association between playfulness and the STS approach to science teaching in a class of Early Childhood Education. The study methodology adopted a qualitative approach, such as pedagogical intervention, which took place in a Child Education Unit in the Municipality of Belém / PA. The intervention method adopted consisted of playful activities with a STS approach on the school environment, theme having as subjects, 25 children, in the age group of four to five years. The instruments used to obtain the data were photographs, field diaries, audio recordings and drawings produced by the children during the activities. For the interpretation of the data, Discursive Textual Analysis was used. From the analysis it was observed that STS principles emerged in the playful activities during the learning situations promoting the problematization of social issues by the children, in their participation in decisions regarding the subjects covered, in the construction of attitudes and values related to care for the environment, as well as in the promotion of interdisciplinary, contextualized and dialogical science teaching. The association between STS Approach, Playfulness and Science Teaching proved to be possible, showing that playfulness is a basic element to bring themes that involve STS interactions because, considering that play represents the guiding activity in early childhood, playful activities are essential to have an education that corroborates with their needs and that promotes meaningful learning and positive developments for the integral development of the child, including on approaches to diverse topics such as those involving STS relations. It is concluded that bringing STS Education to the field of Early Childhood Education poses itself as a great challenge, however necessary so that it can also contribute to the promotion of children's scientific education, with a view to stimulating their criticality and the construction of a favorable terrain for the exercise of their citizenship, taking into account the specificities that involve this phase of human development .Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A escolarização de surdos no ensino fundamental: percepções sobre o ensino e aprendizagem de ciências(Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso, 2018-12) SALES, Elielson Ribeiro de; SOUZA, Ruth Daisy Capistrano de; WANZELER, Edson PinheiroThe research with a qualitative approach, developed through a field study, has the aim of analyze the teaching and learning in science, of deaf students of 6th and 7th grades of Elementary school, at a public school in Belém(Pará). For that, there were researched four students, fluent in Libras, considering their perceptions and the context they belong. The instrument for data production was a questionnaire written in Portuguese, translated to Libras. The results showed that visual perception, conditioned by deafness itself installed, not as a deficiency that produces learning limitations, but as a difference naturally observed and mediated for visual and spacial sense. It was also observed that to work with a deaf it is indispensable that the teacher has aminimum linguistic and communicational competence in Libras, in a manner that it is possible to happen a satisfactory communication for both, otherwise it will be necessary the presence of a mediator or a Libras interpreter.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Estratégias metacognitivas no ensino e aprendizagem de ciências para alunos com transtorno do espectro autista(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-10-14) Batista, Rochelle da Silva; Brabo, Jesus de Nazaré Cardoso; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8186834432543140; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6757-0540Teaching biological science for students with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), as well as for other students, should consider activities that encourage the construction of critical thinking and intellectual autonomy, which are important for the full exercise of citizenship in contemporary society. In this context, this study aimed to build an Educational Product (Metacognitive strategies for teaching science to students with ASD: reading and interpreting popular science texts) that made it possible to analyse the limits and possibilities of using certain metacognitive strategies as well as possible contributions to biological science teaching and learning process of students with ASD, having as based on the metacognitive theory proposed by John Flavell. With a qualitative approach, of the participant observation type, activities including reading and comprehensive of texts about the topic of the pandemic were developed. The approach was applied with three students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, aged between fourteen and seventeen years of an Educational Assistance Center Specialized, located within a philanthropic institution in Belém/Pará/Brazil. Video recordings of the classes and written records prepared by the students were collected for further analysis. Content Analysis was used, using the metacognitive skills coding structure proposed in recent research on the subject. The results suggest that it is feasible and promising to use metacognitive teaching-learning strategies with students with ASD. It contributed to the establishment of an environment that trigger the dialog and motivate students to acquire and make use of metacognitive skills. In addition to the results presented, this research discusses interesting possibilities for other studies regarding the application of suggestions from the research field of metacognition to educational activities for students with ASD, which are still little explored in our country.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Geração espontânea e evolução química gradual em livros didáticos do ensino fundamental(Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso, 2020-12) PANTOJA, Ana Laura Pureza; VIEIRA, Eduardo Paiva de PonteOrigin of Life, as curricular content, is a controversial topic. Knowledge from various areas supports several hypotheses and plausible scenarios to explain how life originated on Earth, making room for the conflicts that exist in this matter, in addition to expressing characteristics of the nature of scientific knowledge. It is in this perspective that the approach can be linked with the History and Philosophy of Science (HPS), so that views of science that refer to the linearity of knowledge construction and the absence of conflicts are not reinforced. The discourse analysis proposed by Michel Foucault can be used as an analytical device to think about the approach of History and Philosophy of Science recommended in textbooks of basic education. Therefore, this work aims to see which discourse(s) go about the theories on the school content “Origin of Life”, strictly in relation to the theories of Spontaneous Generation and Gradual Chemical Evolution, in the elementary school textbooks for the 7th grade. The analysis indicates that the theories of Gradual Chemical Evolution and Spontaneous Generation are recurrent in textbooks with a positivist historiographical aspect, composing statements that establish the potential circulation and legitimation of scientific knowledge.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Interdisciplinaridade: características e possibilidades para o ensino de física e química(Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso, 2021-04) CATANHEDE, Severina Coelho da Silva; SILVA, André Flávio Gonçalves; SILVA, Francisco Hermes Santos da; SILVA, Maria de Fátima Vilhena daThis work seeks to list the number of articles published in some national journals that treat Physics and Chemistry in an interdisciplinary way.To further delimit the sample space, we limit ourselves to making notes only in relation to works focusing on Basic Education. The search was carried out from the word interdisciplinary in journals in the area of Science Education with Qualis/CAPES A1, A2, B1 and B2, between the years 2009 to 2019. The focus was on articles that addressed Physics and Chemistry in a way interdisciplinary as well as contributions from reading selected texts. The discussion will be made in light of the official education documents regarding interdisciplinarity. As a result, we can see that most of the papers dealing with Physics and Chemistry in an interdisciplinary way are concentrated in Higher Education, just as in the second five years it was possible to verify a substantial increase in the number of papers published in the journals analyzed. It was also possible to verify that the journals that contribute about 80% of all publications collected in our research are: Brazilian Journal of Science and Technology Teaching, Areté Journal/Amazonian Journal of Science Teaching and Brazilian Journal of Physics Teaching. Lastly, it alone has an impact of about half of the articles published for our analysis.
