Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Glossário terminológico do curso de odontologia português-libras(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-10-30) MARTINELLI, Denise Costa; LIMA, Alcides Fernandes de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2565242209879834The present work developed in the Postgraduate Program in Letters - Linguistics, on the line research Analysis, Description and Documentation of Natural Languages presents the proposal of creating a bilingual terminological glossary Portuguese-Libras of Odontology from the snippet of Domain Odontology Course at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA). The research objective was to create a vocabulary from the terms used in Odontology course disciplines and purpose a creation of equivalent term-signs in the Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) that represent the concepts and meanings taking into account the grammatical characteristics of sign languages based on lexical and terminological theories based in the methodology of socioterminology by Faulstich (1995). This semantic field was chosen because it is not yet a widely explored area. The term signs used in the field of Odontology, especially those used in the subjects taught in the Odontology course are still few in Libras. The methodology used was qualitative research. In the first stage, data collection, we proceed with this steps ahead: i) delimitation of the object of study and the target audience; ii) definition of the conceptual map; iii) selection and organization of the corpus; iv) selection of candidates for term signs; v) validation of the term signs by specialists in linguistics and Odontology; and v) reliability test. The second stage obey the sequence: i) Elaboration and organization of the terminology files; ii) organization of the images and videos in Libras and iii) the written production of the sign-terms through the SignWriting system. The terminology glossary of Portuguese-Libras Odontology will follow the rules of macro and microstructure used in sign language glossaries. The term signs were validated through periodic meetings between specialists in the field of translation and interpretation, deaf linguists and deaf students. We hope that the glossary proposal presented in this paper, will be extremely relevant to assist in communication between those involved in the process of simultaneous translation and interpretation, in ensure of linguistic rights for the deaf who enter college of Odontology course and as didactic material that contributes to the learning of terminology of this area.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Minidicionário digital da língua de sinais Munduruku(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-06-24) FERREIRA, Ivanilton; MALCHER, Maria Ataide; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5418062253829906; GONÇALVES, Arlete MarinhoThis research brings the results of capturing records of the sign terms used by the deaf of the Munduruku ethnic group, for the development and conception of the DIGITAL MINI DICTIONARY OF THE MUNDURUKU SIGN LANGUAGE, which has 59 sign terms and is available in e-book format. To this end, we try to answer the following focus question: How can the digital Mini dictionary developed in this study contribute to the training process of teachers of Libras and Special Education courses, for the acquisition of Sign Language in the deaf community of the Munduruku ethnic group in the State of Pará? Given the focus question, the main objective for this study was to design a Digital Mini Dictionary of the Munduruku Sign Language - in Portuguese, LSM - aiming to contribute to the teacher training process for the acquisition of the Sign Language used in the village of Karapanatuba, in the municipality of Jacareacanga, in the State of Pará. The research presents a qualitative, exploratory, and field approach. The locus of the research was the Karapanatuba village, in the Munduruku Indigenous Land, located in the municipality of Jacareacanga, in the southwest of the State of Pará, and the techniques used were participant observation and open interview. The research participants were: 3 deaf indigenous people from the Munduruku ethnic group; 3 indigenous teachers, academics from the UEPA Indigenous Intercultural course; 1 non-indigenous participant, who works in the Munduruku Indigenous Land; and 1 local interpreter from the Karapanatuba village. Due to the pandemic, the sign terms’ capture and registration took place remotely and in person. For cataloging and product development, we used a terminographic form and, in addition, we used the registration form to then organize and systematize the sign terms. To meet the criteria for designing educational products, validation was necessary, and this stage was divided into two parts: the first with the deaf community of the Munduruku ethnic group, to validate the signs, and the second with the expert panel, composed by professionals from the areas of sign language, indigenous peoples, and design/communication. With the conception of the Digital Mini Dictionary, we intend to contribute and spread LSM signs to expand sign language vocabulary in Brazil, so that it can be an additional use and research tool for Libras and Special Education teachers, as well as for undergraduates /deaf teachers and students from the Munduruku people. In summary, the product was analyzed by the Munduruku community of deaf and hearing people, by specialists and research professors, leading us to the conclusion that this pedagogical resource is important and indispensable to improve communication and interaction between deaf and hearing indigenous people, and it can also strengthen Munduruku sign language as a differentiated linguistic dissemination given its condition as an emergent and cultural language.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Signwriting da linguagem matemática para o ensino de geometria plana(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-08-30) GONÇALVES FILHO, José Sinésio; SALES, Elielson Ribeiro de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5467537517169068; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6242-582XSignWriting, also known as writing signs, brings to our society a new technique of writing spacevisual languages. This system becomes important to the Deaf communities, whereas before the signs were passed from one deaf to another throughout history. In order to do so, the objective of the present work was to record SignWriting of the Geometry-terms signs from the survey of these signs in institutional sites, multimedia and books. It was a documentary research with a qualitative approach, presenting a comparative study of the scientific and intellectual productions Capovilla; Raphael (2001a, 2001b, 2001c), Brandão (2002), Calculibras website, youtube channels Instituto Phala and Zanúbia Brandão, which constituted the corpus of the signs-terms of Mathematics. It was detected that there is a variety of signs of the area of Mathematics, however, they are scattered in several documents, not having a specific one. The need for a signal of the area will enable teachers, students and interpreters to interact with the mathematical language in Pounds in the written mode. In this way we present a glossary model of Signal-terms of the Flat Geometry in SignWriting, from a list of Geometry signs-terms, which are accompanied by their respective concepts and examples where we chose to organize these signs-terms in alphabetical order.
