Populações tradicionais, ação comunitária, capital social e educação: um debate necessário à efetivação de reservas extrativistas na Amazônia
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-01) SILVA, José Bittencourt da
Theoretically, a traditional population has, at least in part, a history of low environmental impact, and has in the present interest in maintaining or obtain the control over the territory that inhabit. The aim of this paper is to make reflections about these populations, objecting to expose and talk about their most important problems, such as the difficulty to work in community and the problem of low social capital in the context of extractive reserves (RESEX) in the Amazon. In this context, the paradigm of education of the field is an alternative to authoritarian model education in the RESEXs, especially in the RESEX Ipau-Anilzinho, Pará state. Methodologically, this paper result of a literature search made in the libraries physical and virtual, and personal collection. What follows are discussions about the subject indicated, from the literature examined.

(Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazônia, 2011) MERTENS, Frédéric Adelin Georges; TÁVORA, Renata Souza; FONSECA, Igor Ferraz da; GRANDO, Raquel Lopes Sinigaglia Caribé; CASTRO, Mauro André Costa de; DEMEDA, Katia Solange do Nascimento
The article presents an empirical study where social network analysis is used to map social capital among actors involved in environmental governance processes in the Brazilian Amazon. Using interviews, we carried out the mapping of the dialogue network regarding socio-environmental issues among 505 actors from the Amazonian Gateway Territory. The analysis identified 3384 dialogue relationships. Each actor has an average of 6,7 dialogue partners. The analysis of the structural characteristics of the dialogue network was used to build indicators of social capital of the bonding type, based on the mapping of the organization among actors from the same municipalities, and bridging type, based on the identification of relationships among actors from different municipalities. At the municipal level, the distribution of the two types of social capital allowed the characterization of groups of actors according to their differing participation in the environmental governance of the Territory. At the territorial level, the connectivity pattern among the 16 municipalities exhibits a balance between the two types of social capital and reveals the potential of communication and organization among actors, as demonstrated through the example of the local Agenda 21 projects. These results demonstrate how social network analysis can contribute to the definition (or re-definition) of the territories frontiers in order to include a set of municipalities whose cohesion is based on effective social relationships. We also propose governance actions for the Amazonian Gateway aiming at strengthening dialogue processes, reducing conflicts and promoting the sustainable use of natural resources in the Amazon.

A Relação de influência do capital social, da ecoinovação e o processo operacional em atividades tradicionais na Amazônia
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-07-10) VELOSO, Camila Oliveira Nascimento; MACKE, Janaina; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4947114574577513; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7781-7161; MATIAS, Isaac; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5296007792634529
The objective of this research is to analyze the relationship of influence of Social Capital and Eco-innovation in the Operational Process of traditional activities in the context of the Brazilian Amazon. There was a certain scarcity in the literature of approaches to this relationship between constructs in the Brazilian Amazon region, which motivated this research. To this end, explor-atory research was carried out, with a quantitative approach, with the field research technique of application of questionnaires with the social actors who carry out traditional activities in the region of Marajó Island/PA, in the municipality of Soure and four other surrounding cities, and data analysis through Structural Equation Modeling (MEE). It was evidenced that Social Cap-ital influences Eco-innovation, by uniting social norms and obligations in networks of trust with mutual cooperation, through the sum of efforts that help in the local development of small busi-nesses, and added to the actions of Eco-innovation influence the result of the Operational Pro-cess of the researched actors. The findings indicate that Social Capital directly affects Eco-innovation, that Eco-innovation directly affects the Operational Process and that Social Capital indirectly influences the Operational Process through Eco-innovation. Social Capital. Eco-innovation. Operational Process. Amazon.
