(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-05-22) MOREIRA, Auricilene Gomes; RIBEIRO, Karla Tereza Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2654817572738748; GODOY, Sara Gurfinkel Marques de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3676165040937391
This study investigates teachers' perceptions of entrepreneurial education and its integration with solid waste management in high schools, highlighting the importance of environmental sustainability and the development of skills for the 21st century. Using a qualitative and exploratory approach, data was collected via questionnaires on Google Forms and analyzed qualitatively with the assistance of graphs, which allowed for effective organization and interpretation of the information. The results point to the need for pedagogical practices that promote awareness of sustainable development, using modern approaches to engage students. Research resulted in the creation of a Design Thinking Ebook, which supports teachers in implementing an active, interdisciplinary methodology. This material is designed to encourage student collaboration in the development and implementation of projects, aligned with the ten general competences of the Common National Curriculum Basis. Design Thinking is emphasized as a student-centered approach to solving complex problems in a creative and practical way. It highlights the importance of equipping both teachers and students with practical skills and an innovative perspective, preparing them to face current challenges and promote environmental sustainability. Therefore, I consider that the dissertation makes a significant contribution to the educational field, demonstrating the effective integration of entrepreneurial education into the school curriculum and preparing students for a responsible and sustainable future.

(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-02-26) LEITE, João Alex Garcia; PICANÇO, Marcelo de Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4535052395600357; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7313-1229
The construction industry is one of the most important sectors to the economic development of Brazil. However, it also causes some of the greatest environmental impacts mainly due to the improper disposal of construction waste (CW) in natural areas and large urban centers. The issue of CW in Belém includes the problematic due to the absence of the Municipal Construction Waste Management Plan (PMGRCC). Of particular note is the daily construction waste generated and improperly disposed of by small companies and individuals, which is very common in Belém. The main objective of this dissertation is to study the current CW management system for small companies and individuals, with the purpose of improving the treatment processes for CW improperly disposed of by small-scale construction sites in the city of Belém. The specific aims include: identification of those involved in the generation, transportation, and final disposal of CW. The research is based on an exploratory, explanatory, qualitative approach and will be restricted to the Municipality of Belém. It will involve field visits to take photographic records, interviews with those involved in the process, and analysis of data from the Municipal Sanitation Department (SESAN) and the Municipal Solid Waste Department (DRES). It is hoped that the results of this research will help facilitate the introduction of an efficient management process for the control, handling, and final disposal of CW in Belém.

Modelo de gestão de resíduos sólidos por meio da economia circular: uma proposta para os supermercados da Região metropolitana de Belém-Pará.
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-07-17) DANTAS, Werllem Valente Rodrigues; CARMO, Annibal José Roris Rodriguez Scavarda do Carmo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6070280268935110; SCHIMITH, Cristiano Descovi; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7017921569470426; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2545-942X
The world's demographic growth and the change in people's standard of living have led to an increase in demand for production and consumer goods, mainly single-use products and goods with planned obsolescence. Thus, it has become necessary to search for solutions capable of changing the current economic model, represented by the “linear economy”, so that a sustainable production method can be achieved. Among the alternatives to this format, there is the circular economy, object of this research, which had as a research problem to investigate how the solid waste management of supermarkets in the metropolitan region of Belém occurs, bringing in its scope the objective of proposing, to supermarkets, a solid waste management model through the Circular Economy. This research, based on a literature review, built a theoretical framework on the Circular Economy, which served as the basis for the elaboration of the data collection instrument and, later, the collected data and the framework were used to build the model of solid waste management. The research revealed that supermarkets carry out sustainable actions, but that they are isolated practices. As a solution, this research presents the solid waste management model for supermarkets to implement the Circular Economy.
