    A água para o consumo humano: ensino por meio de temas com abordagem em ciência, tecnologia, sociedade e ambiente

    Water is a topic commonly treated in the teaching of science, but a resource availability scenario lacks discussions to training for citizenship through the recognition of scientific and technological issues surrounding access to the use and preservation of human life. In this scenario, this study sought to determine how the proposed theme "Water for Human Consumption" can influence the training for citizenship of elementary school students of a school of public schools in the city of Abaetetuba, generating in this context two thematic booklets on the proposal, namely: a thematic booklet for students and a booklet with activity suggestions for the teacher. The used theoretical foundation hás two sections. The first incorporates the approach in Science, Technology, Society and Environment and his notes to improve the teaching of science through teaching by theme based on three pedagogical moments of Delizoicov, Angotti and Pernambuco (2011), from the context of situations students in order to involve them actively in the search for solutions through diversified activities. In the second section I write about scientific knowledge related to water and its influence on the teaching of science. The research environment was formed through a short course, attended by eleven students of the sixth grade of elementary school as research subjects, as well as teacher-researcher. The action research was the methodological option chosen in this study to collect data, which are analyzed in light of the interpretative analysis of Creswell (2007). The data showed that the subject worked in the Science approach, Technology, Society and Environment enables students to recognize the problems of their reality, allowing its insertion in the search for solutions, and also shows the importance of working everyday reality, paying attention the difficulties of the students to express themselves orally and in writing. As for the teacher researcher, this study showed how reflective practice was important for the conduct of short course activities. Regarding the product of this work, the two primers for use in teaching-learning situation, I consider it possible that the treatment of the subject, because aroused the interest of students to continue the activities culminating in presentations to the school community. And yet, there was the drafting of a letter by students with proposals to solve specific problems that was sent to the school towards improving knowledge about the problems and possible solutions observed by students in their school environment, with regard to access to water for human consumption

    Características socioeconômicas pré-industriais e a eclosão do processo de industrialização na Alemanha

    This article seeks to identify means of rapid change and development for which Germany has passed. It must be said that there were a number of favorable factors for the process of industrialization was initiated, such as resource potential and underutilized labor looking for entrepreneurs willing to invest their capital, and the influence of English industrialization process, while Germany led to new products, creating markets for the products of this country and incited interest in using new technologies. In addition, another key aspect of German industrialization was the practice of protectionism. While large parts of the industrialized countries followed the liberalizing logic in relation to international trade, Germany followed the opposite path, protecting their industry from international competition and limiting access to technologies developed. It is clear, therefore, that there were many propulsion for the German industrial development, among them forces: a consolidated banking and commercial base, an industrial tradition, natural resources largely favoring the improvement of existing technologies, and finally a population very receptive on this new industrial “wave” as well as a dynamic nationalism seeking expression.

    Cultura, sensibilidade e comunicação intersensorial: as festas das aparelhagens no Estado do Pará

    The article proposes to think about the Festas de Aparelhagem (sound system parties), traditional festive events in the state of Pará, based on its technological dimension and thus, as dynamics of creation, production and sensory reverberation. Based on an ethnographic research and reflecting on the importance of the technological devices present in the sound systems, we seek to understand the intersensory communication present in these events and, in the same way, the meanings of culture and intersubjectivity. Along this path, the relationship between communication, culture, technology and sensoriality is discussed using Le Breton (2016a; 2016b), Laplantine (2017) and Anonimizado (2018). Miller (2008; 1998) and Gonçalves (2007) are also used to reflect on the material culture produced around the technological artifacts of parties and Anonimizado (2020) to debate the issue of intersensory communication.

    Dinâmica do processo de inovação do açaí: a trajetória de pesquisa e desenvolvimento do BRS-Pará

    In Pará state açaí is the main product of the fruit-growing, generating an approximate value of R $ 677.2 million. With the expansion of production for upland areas, came the difficulty of standardization and homogeneity of production and thus lower quality. In an attempt to solve this problem, the Federal institute Embrapa Amazônia Oriental developed through genetic breeding the BRS-Pará, first crop for solid ground, with high productivity, early production and production in the off-season. Thus, the research aimed to analyze the process of innovation and profitability of BRS-Pará breeding. For the construction of this analysis it was necessary to characterize the BRS-Pará product developed by EMBRAPA, from the conception of the idea to product development, where were used for the analysis. The technological structure, productive and reproductive problems that gave origin to BRS-Pará were analyzed, through interviews with the technicians responsible for the development of farming. The perspective used to understand the process of innovation and technological came from Lundvall, Freeman, Cassiolato who argues that the process occurs from the interaction between different actors, institutions, support mechanisms and research work in collaboration to facilitate this process. At last, were collected accounting and production data of a farm that works with Açaí BRS-Pará crops, evaluating profitability, productivity and balance point of BRS-Pará crops. To understand the phenomenon we used the notion of paradigms and technological trajectories, based on the notion of Dosi and Nelson, however Costa perspective (2009) was highlighted to be a necessary contextualization of the natural environment in the formation and constitution of paradigms and their trajectories. The production unit analyzed is included in the T5 concept, path defined by Costa, as part of the patriarchal system, where there is an intensive land use and landscape homogenization. The study showed high level of profitability, because the crop enables revenue generation in the period between harvests, when prices rise, as well as the benefits of irrigation for the development of production.

    The main goal of this work was evaluating of the science teach with focus in Science, Technology and Society – STS, through “educate by research”, decision-make can promote the energy and sustainability issues in the amazonic context. The study became relevant when take into consideration that the historic occupation of the Amazon was guided on exploration of the natural resources without necessary planning and prevision of the environmental impacts for use itself. Methodologically, this research fits qualitative paradigm and it consists of action research. The collect information happened over extended course, which was recorded in video, training diaries and textual production of the students, all school students of the variable courses of the Federal University of Pará. The data showed that the elaboration of discourses supported on energy and sustainability issues touch several aspects, such as: environmental dimension, social, ecological, political and cultural. From the performed analysis was found that “educate by research”, like method, it is much more efficient to promote training through STS, because the student changes his condition of receptor to builder of knowledge, learn and disclose his discoveries – indicating that science education can provide a training based on critical awareness, autonomy and knowledge builds for coping of the teaching activity.

    O enfoque C-T-S na pedagogia da alternância o saber escolar e a prática cotidiana quilombola na Casa Familiar Rural de Jambuaçú - Moju - Pará

    This work is result of a research about teaching of the science developed with the Pedagogy of Alternation in the Casa Familiar Rural Padre Sérgio Tonetto, located in Quilombola Territory of Jambuaçu in Moju-Pará-Brazil. We have as main objective to analyze the relationship between the STS approach (Science-Technology-Society) and the pedagogical practices of teaching of the science at CFR Jambuaçu. Additionally, we search the implications that these relations produce in education of quilombola citizens in Jambuaçu. It is a qualitative research. In this research we use as instruments individual and group semi-structured interviews (focus groups), as well as observations and documental analysis. As research subjects participating we had families and community members (leaders), and were interviewed thirteen (13) mothers / fathers of students and leaders and 33 (thirty-three) students divided into three (3) focus groups. We also interviewed the science teacher and the pedagogical coordinator. The content of the empirical material analysis, following Laurence Bardin, emerged four categories of coding that convert into axes of analysis: 1. Educational aspects of the Pedagogy of the Alternation; 2. Social transformation and training for citizenship; 3. Science Teaching in Pedagogy of Alternation and 4. Formation of the quilombo identity. We found that, at different levels, all axes of analysis include educational elements with CTS focus on Pedagogy of Alternation, particularly in the social-thematic approach, autonomy, decision making, attitudes and values of the exercise of conscious citizenship and grounded in knowledge of science and traditional knowledge of the quilombos.

    In the context of science education, the Science, Technology and Society (CTS) approach has been influencing the development of innovative didactic and curricular proposals that can bring significant contributions to the promotion of Scientific and Technological Literacy (STL) of individuals capable of acting with responsibility. I sought to investigate the contributions of the development of a teaching sequence with STS approach on teaching and learning of biodiversity and genetic contents in high school. In this perspective, I present a research with a qualitative approach, of the educational research-action type, whose didactic-pedagogical intervention was developed through a teaching sequence and a didactic notebook constructed, applied and analyzed in this study. To that end, I took as a base the theoretical-practical and methodological references of authors who discuss the teaching of sciences under the STS perspective and the proposition of didactic sequence, contemplating the concepts of STL, curriculum with a STS focus, decision making, training for citizenship, typology of conceptual, procedural and attitudinal contents and the methodological dynamics known as the three pedagogical moments. The implementation of the didactic sequence occurred in real conditions of the classroom, having as participants subjects nineteen students of the third year of high school in a public school of the federal education network. As techniques and instruments of data production, I selected the participant observation, group conversations, the textual production of the students and the application of questionnaires. In the analysis of the data, the studied phenomenon is interpreted and understood, attributing qualified results in an intuitive and systematic way, to evaluate the potentialities and limitations of the developed teaching proposal, both in terms of the quality of the interactions between student-material and studentsstudents, as well as the conceptual, procedural and attitudinal contents seized by the students. The results of the research work indicated that the development of a didactic sequence, with a CTS approach, provides the necessary reflections and discussions for the development of ethical and moral values, attitudes committed to ecological sustainability, and personal positions on social and environmental issues. understanding of scientific knowledge and of the relationships and interactions between science, technology and society.

    The present work aims to demonstrate the possibility of using the Whatsapp messaging application in the classroom as an important ally in student learning, especially one of its various resources: audio sending. In an increasingly technological and virtual world, this possibility becomes a necessity: the school cannot remain on the sidelines of this process, under penalty of becoming even more uninteresting for its target audience. The use of these tools is only a complements the work already done by teachers of the most varied disciplines, because I understand that the teaching-learning process necessarily goes through the bond between the one who teaches and the one who learns, marked by affection, mutual respect and companionship. The research was carried out with students of the EJA modality – Youth and Adult Education and draws attention to the fact that the authorities, in the three spheres of power, give due importance to this segment historically abandoned.

    Geração 60+ na internet : relações tecnológicas, tensões e produção de sentidos na pandemia de Covid-19

    The study is interested in the relationships of people aged 60 or over with everyday technologies, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. The reference years (2020 and 2021) are marked by a health crisis experienced worldwide, of undulating administration, with regard to Nation-States and, also, internally. In Brazil, physical distancing measures and hygiene guidelines have become a central issue and, in this context, digital communication technologies have taken on a previously unseen centrality. When considering groups of people who may have shown more evident distancing from connected screens, the research focuses on the experience of the elderly, as a starting point. This qualitative research departs from a communicational context to encompass the phenomenon of expanded social doing. Some of the theoretical fronts activated during the argument are in the field of aging (chronological and social), identities (generations), material culture, and power relations, starting from a set of meanings produced by the interlocutors of the research. As collection methods, the digital form and focus groups were used. With that, the Thematic Analysis (TA) showed a path of interest, with the necessary flexibility, in the search for speech patterns, paths of meanings, and senses produced by the investigated. To help with the task, the Iramuteq software was used on the fronts of statistical analyses, similarity, descending hierarchical classification, and presentation of word clouds. By opening up the range of findings, the initial concern about the heterogeneity of the experiences of older people is reinforced. Life, health, economic, and family conditions, for instance, will directly influence the so-called independence (more connected to physical issues) and the desired autonomy (decision-making; self-government). The main screen used was the cell phone to talk to family and friends. Among those who maintained active professional relationships during the verified period, it was possible to perceive a smaller field of friction. In general, the meanings that emerged from these relationships are paradoxical – they contain, roughly speaking, positive and negative points – and translated into technologies seen as access, a door to new learning and possibilities, at the same time as a set of spaces of danger, insecurity, and mystery, especially among those who used the term fear to refer to digital experiences.

    Governança local em educação profissional e tecnológica: o caso do Programa Pará Profissional no Município de Ulianópolis-PA

    Professional and Technological Education (EPT) has stood out in the agenda of public policies in Brazil in the last decades, constituting itself as a strategic element for the economic development and social inclusion of the country. From this perspective, the discussion about professional qualification in order to meet the demands of productive sectors is part of this context. However, the implementation of Vocational Programs formulated by the Federal Government has found difficulties in adapting to the reality of the Brazilian municipalit ies, especially those located in the Amazon. From this point of view, the main theme of this study, the Professional and Technological Education Program Pará Profissional, was conceived with the objective of offering professional qualification with a view to expanding and verticalizing the productive chains, linked to the priority axes of State development, generating income and fight against poverty in Pará. In its implementation, Intersectorial Managing Committees were used, which made possible the construction of the model of local governance in some municipalities of the State. The general objective of this study is to analyze how the Intersectoral Steering Committee of Ulianópolis, PA (CGIU), impacts the actions of the Pará Profissional Program of the municipality. The choice of Ulianópolis was due to its pioneering spirit in establishing in Pará the first Municipal Intersectoral Steering Committee as a management tool to support and coordinate local EPT actions. Among the elements identified in the characterization of governance, we highlight the focus given to the transformation of the role of the State, where different social actors are inserted in the context of the elaboration and execution of sectoral public policies. The research methodology is exploratory-descript ive, carried out through a case study with a qualitative approach, utilizing documentary, bibliographic and field research. The analysis of the results was based on the mechanisms of governance (Leadership, Strategy and Control) used by the Basic Governance Framework of the Federal Audit Court (TCU) for public organizations. It was observed that the model established for the CGIU/Ulianópolis acted in a collaborative way, contemplating the participation of both the public and private sector, as well as organized civil society, being developed within a context that allowed to broaden the debate about the concept of local governance and networks as a governance structure

    The ManagerialReformation of State conducted the Federal Universities of Higher Education (IFES) to search technology to modernize the academic Management, increasing the quality in the treatment. The Integrated System of Education (SIE) was implanted in 2006. It presents the following problems:what bottlenecks, found in the SIE implantation, were responsible for the not implementation of the set? What extent did the SIE model to administrative management of academics issues contribute to the efficiency in the UFPA management, then providing support forthe advancement ofteaching and research? The process of implantation was enough according with therequirements of GesPública?To achieve the general purpose of analyzing if the models of management practiced by managers in the SIE implantation are according with the application instrument of National Plan of Public Managementand “Desburocratização” – GesPública (PBQP), the Institutional Master Plan (PDI) and the Annual Plans of Management of the UFPA used theinterviews, questionnaires, and document analysis. The categories: leadership, strategy and Plan, citizens and society, process and people, results, informations and knowledges are of the GesPública. The hypothesis validated partly saythat the institution advanced in using Organizational Theories in the administrative and technologic apparatus, according with the context of the State Reform. The quality practices are adequate, in beginning of implantation, with points that needing to be improved. Big spaces in the modernization of academic management are left. The leaders should haveinserted the users in the process, and working theirs experiences and needs, searching for results according the Neo-Institutional Theory and the Quality Theory, that involve the people in the decisions, because they handle directly with the equipments and with the clients.

    Práticas pedagógicas de professores formadores e abordagem CTS: o ensino de ciências rumo a novas percepções neste século XXI

    Considering the increasingly strong presence of scientific and technological aspects in the society of the XXI century, this paper reports a qualitative research, through narrative, which investigates pedagogical practices of professors who are responsible for science teachers' education, through demonstrations of three educators of the Natural Sciences course of UEPA (Universidade do Estado do Pará - University of Pará), and it intends to understand which formative aspects contribute to the CTS approach pedagogical practice, as well as to identify and understand which elements of the CTS approach are present in the pedagogical practices of the investigated professors. Therefore, the practical construction of this research was developed through individual interviews - properly recorded in audio and transcribed - with the investigated professors who were selected through nominations from a network system consisted by people - teachers and technicians – involved in the context of the research. Based on Textual Analysis of Discourse used for qualitative analysis of empirical data, three perspectives of analysis emerged: 1) initial and continuing teacher education: reflections on teaching practices; 2) pedagogical practices: meetings with the CTS approach; 3) differentiated education: the XXI century teacher outlining. The analysis of empirical data shows that the formative aspects that contribute to teaching practices related to CTS Approach are connected to the assumptions linked to the emerging paradigm that pursues a prudent knowledge in support of a decent life and because of that, it directs a new perception of world, contrary to the paradigm of the Modern Science that has long prevailed leading the way we see and interact with the world. With this in mind, I realized that the convergences of teaching practices to CTS approach are correlated to the stage of paradigmatic transition where the investigated professors are inserted, as demonstrated in their manifestations. This statement gains strength when reports distinguished ideas about what kind of teachers the subjects have in mind when they develop their practices. For this, however, it is required that professors have an open mind and be sensitive to constant and intense changes of this century which, as unfinished beings, we experience.

    Sistemas Nacionais de Inovação (SNI): tipologia e variáveis determinantes para as 50 maiores economias

    The main objective of this work will be to analyze the SNI of the 50 largest economies with the intention of generating a typology for the analyzed systems. Search through the use of a factor analysis analysis model using cluster analysis and panel data, classify and understand the trained NIS and generate a methodological procedure that makes it possible to monitor the evolution of innovation systems. The work will also analyze, after analyzing the SNI typologies, econometric models with panel data for the types of SNI generated, with the aim of finding which variable principles are most important for the house typology. As main results, the SNI were divided into three distinct classes. The determining variables to explain the performance of the developed systems were: innovative capacity and environment, human capital and net direct investment. Each of these thermals presented greater or lesser importance according to each typology found. In general, the variations in research and development expenses, resident and non-resident patents, scientific articles and publications and higher education expenses were the most significant variables in explaining the development of the SNI.

    Soberania e governamentalidade: Foucault, leitor de Rousseau

    The general purpose of this work is to show how the legal juridical conception of power in the eighteenth century enabled the wide understanding of the term governmentality as the political strategies were directed to the population control as exposed in the Security, Territory, Population course, taught by Michel Foucault at the Collège de France in 1977-1978. To accomplish such aim, we will start from the critical confrontation that Foucault establishes with the idea of sovereign power within the called Modern State in Jean Jacques Rousseau. From this focus we intend to indicate, initially, that the Genevan philosopher when wrote the entry Political Economy in the Encyclopedia (1755), aims to present the need for an economic and administrative management about people’s possessions and lives, then registers the Social Contract (1762) as a logical extension of his two essays (1749 and 1755). This way, Rousseau seeks to legitimize the members of the society behavior, for this, the citizen need to delegate his individual and particular power towards a general will. In the course mentioned above, Foucault criticizes precisely this notion of sovereignty, because the Frenchman identifies that there is an intermediate body [government] equipped with a legal apparatus that becomes in practice a camouflaged government management, whose main tools are security devices to regulate the population. This idea of a government as a population government uses techniques of power, that is, technological devices to regulate the members of this state, in developing a controlling method under the guise of a discourse for the welfare of the population.
