Amazônias na TV: a presença local no telejornalismo nacional

This research analyzes the representations on the Amazon region expressed in two primetime television news shows Brazilian television. From the perspective of social representations and theories of news broadcasting, have been examined four parameters: the concepts of Amazon adopted in the news and reports; the representations of States of the Legal Amazon and its relationship with the region; the themes under which Amazon appears on national television; and the differentiations in stories as the absence and presence of local television in the content production process. For such were observed the news showed between 14 June and 09 October 2010, totaling 101 journalistic texts. Representations about the region seem to be, in this period, closely related to the discourses on Sustainable Development.

Arte na TV: reflexões sobre matérias de arte em telejornais paraenses

Art and communication, two areas of knowledge that can contribute with reflections and questions about human reality, and still need to be more approximated. This work proposes a partnership between the two fields, to the development of the critical and culturally enriched. The focal point chosen for the study is the mediation of the art by the television news from the state of Pará, in Brazil. Does the TV news value, encourage and give visibility to the guidelines on art, primarily the local art? In attempting to answer this and other questions, we plunged into a theoretical literature addressing issues related to language of the arts and of the television, the critic of the art and cultural journalism, raising pillars for the understanding of how the TV, as mass media, must act to make a correct the mediation of artistic information. From theoretical approach, it is observed in practice, news reports broadcasted on the TV news stations in open channels from Pará: Liberal TV (Globo) TV RBA (BAND) and TV Cultura do Pará (public broadcaster), chosen for this content analysis. In the survey, the subjects bring artistic themes, part of the contemporary scene. Collect material on distinct channels contributes to the observation of how the information of art is addressed in each one, if visibility is given to the issue, valuing it, and if there is incentive, motivation or collaboration with the formation of a public of art.

O embate entre o visível e o invisível: a construção social da violência no jornalismo e na política

This research aims to examine the use made of violence as a social problem in journalistic and political contexts, from articles published in the Jornal Nacional, from Rede Globo and in political speeches of the candidates for president, Geraldo Alckmin (PSDB ) and Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT), on the electoral timetable, here called television campaign, on the elections of 2006. As the main methodological contributions have been used the analysis tools of hermeneutics and frameworks (frame analysis), with the intention of revealing this focus on the violence and make a theoretical reflection on this social problem in the "post-media", a term known in this research as to the process of exacerbation of the media and its insertion as an institution that builds the sense of reality to people's lives. Television news and the election campaign, tested in August, September and October 2006, were taken as important programs of references the social construction of reality. It appears that there is a superficiality and homogenization in the treatment of this social problem.

Memórias documentárias: a produção documental da TV cultura do Pará

This essay reflects about how two archival documentaries produced by TV Cultura do Pará filmmakers articulates the notion of “place of memory”, created by Pierre Nora (1984). The film approach is realized from the film analysis notion created by Manuela Penafria (2009) that defends that a film must be investigated considering internal and external elements. Our analytic efforts see these films in its relations with the institutional creation space, TV Cultura do Pará, its filmmakers, its production conditions and the memories of the investigator, forming, in the end, a kind of documentary memory.
