For this, we appropriate the proposed formulations by Michel Foucault in "The Archaeology of Knowledge", in order to investigate the regularities and dispersions in the discourse on indigenous peoples present in these television serial fictions. We start mainly from the analysis of scenes from telenovelas "Aritana" (1978), "Uga Uga" (2000) and "Alma Gêmea" (2005). We show how these productions, which have different plots and were exhibited at different times, have regularities in building their indigenous protagonists. In a Foucaultian perspective, try to understand how indigenous characters are constructed in such television narratives, which statements related to them appear in these productions and the memories which networks they are affiliated. We take the analytical category intericonicidade proposed by Jean-Jacques Courtine (2013), in order to understand the construction of the images of indigenous characters present in these telenovelas. To analyze historical moments in which the discourse on indigenous peoples won highlights in Brazilian telenovelas, performed in the period from February to July 2014, an extensive survey of telenovelas that were shown over 50 years, the main television stations. From this survey, we got three big enough overlapping events with productions that have brought indigenous characters in leading roles: the demarcation in 1978, the Xingu Park, the celebration, in 2000, 500 of the arrival of Europeans to Brazil and the present moment, in which we follow the discussions on the construction of the hydroelectric plant of Belo Monte.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Masculinidades em cena: o modo de ser e de pensar o metrossexual a partir das telenovelas(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-10-31) OLIVEIRA JÚNIOR, Edyr Batista de; CANCELA, Cristina Donza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8393402118322730I tried to analyze the perceptions of subjects about the way of being and thinking the metrosexual character from Brazilian soap operas. The use of characters from this kind of program for research was important because soap operas are productions that contribute to the viewing of behaviors and dissemination of the "new", besides having great input in Brazilian homes. Because of this, I conducted sixteen interviews with five women and eleven men, all residing in Belém, Pará, undergraduate or graduated in order to show how these people see the male characters that are presented on electronic serials and if they perceive metrosexual characters or with metrosexual characteristics in Brazilian soap operas. I also investigated what some operators of communication - writers, authors, actors and academic writers who study Brazilian soap operas – think about the relation of the male audience with this type of program, through interviews they gave to some media and / or academic papers they wrote. Moreover, I discussed the construction of the metrosexual and the current association of this male type with homosexuality. Thus, I approached the comprehension of my interlocutors on three characters which I focused in my interviews: Narciso (Vladimir Brichta), from Belíssima (2005), Thomas (Leonardo Miggiorin) from Cobras e Lagartos (2006) and Carlos (Carlos Casagrande), from Viver a Vida (2009), verifying the characteristics that make men represented in these roles recognized or not as vain. It will be possible to see that the idea of a male type unconcerned about what he wears, who uses soap to wash his hair not to spend much time with shampoos and conditioners, for example, has lost ground in the contemporary scene, once men, more and more, externalize their vanity, contributing to the "manufacture" of beautiful and desired bodies.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) A telenovela enquanto “folhetim eletrônico” representativo do cotidiano nacional e sua potencialidade comunicativa(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-06) RIBEIRO, Rondinele AparecidoArtigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) As telenovelas brasileiras como tecnologias sociais de hipervisibilidade da identidade de gênero e sexualidade(Universidade Federal do Acre, 2020-12) MELO, Ana Claudia da CruzUnderstood as social technologies of hypervisible of gender identity and sexuality, Brazilian telenovelas have promoted, for decades in Brazil, fields of germination of moral issues, mobilized social practices and are responsible for an incalculable production of sex discourses. In this work, we present how this dynamics materialized through letters from readers of Jornal do Brasil (JB), between the years 1978 and 2000, where viewers, moved by the first LGBT representations – issue and/or characters - in telenovelas in the country, led an extensive debate on censorship, new ways of control, freedom of speech and post-military dictatorship democracy. We also demonstrate how this debate sustained and still sustains the arguments for issuing Government Age Rating Ordinances to this day. To track these controversies caused by the telenovelas, we considered the methodological recommendations by Bruno Latour, which proposes to give voice to the actors (groups, spokespersons, anti-groups) of the discussions. That is, try to identify their origin, motivations and controversies. From them, we demonstrate discursivities, statements and gender performatives, according to compressions by Foucault, Butler, Preciado and Eribon. We bring results of analyzes as basis to understand that, as social technologies, as Brazilian telenovelas have in sex one of their main instruments and support.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) TV aberta no Marajó: usos e apropriações pelos moradores da comunidade São Pedro em Breves-Pará-Amazônia(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-06-25) RODRIGUES, Ronaldo de Oliveira; MALCHER, Maria Ataide; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5418062253829906The focus of this research was to investigate the role of mass media and their production in communication processes from the analysis of the uses and appropriations of the content of network TV by residents of the São Pedro community (Breves-Marajó-Pará). From reception study carried out for three months, and previous visits to the official date of field activities, was formed the corpus, which includes a set of statements of community residents, in which the record was made either by exploiting “the cues symbolic" from the technique of ethnographic observation of communication, now considering techniques such as oral history or focus group. Elected to three groups - children, adolescents and adults - so that one could compare and discuss the research results regard to the uses and appropriations of the content of television programs. Identified that television takes on religious significance in a traditional catholic community, even considering the strong presence of other mediations. Furthermore, television formats and genres shape, decisively, the communication processes of each group investigated. It was also found that the telenovela is the programming that acts as an element of communication integrating family streamlining the daily lives of residents and focusing, including, the reception of other media products, indicating significant aspects for understanding the role of mass media in the communication processes in the Amazonia.
