Alterações no desempenho ocupacional de pessoas com doença renal crônica em diálise peritoneal

This study aims to evaluate the occupational performance of patients diagnosed with CKD that were undergoing Peritoneal Dialysis. This is a quantitative research with an observational and cross sectional design. Canadian Occupational Performance Measure was applied in 12 patients, and the data collection was performed from June to August 2016. The dimensions of occupational performance such as working, traveling, eating, and house tasks suffered a significant change after the start of the Peritoneal Dialysis treatment. All areas/dimensions observed presented changes and affected the occupations performed. It is necessary to evaluate and accompany the patients and their occupational activities so that better interventions during their care can be carried out.

Análise da ação do tratamento de mobilização neural em pacientes com neuropatia hansênica

Historically Leprosy is one of the most disabling diseases in the world. The symptoms of the disease shows a resultant infectious mixed peripheral neuropathy of an insidious inflammatory process involving an ecological relationship between Mycobacterium leprae and man. Clinical disease turns around, both positive signs such as pain, paresthesia and dysesthesia; as negative signals such as sensorimotor loss and autonomic disturbances. Clinic is similarly developed in patients affected by peripheral compressive neurological syndromes. The neural mobilization has proven an effective manual therapeutic resource in controlling the symptoms of these compression syndromes. The inflammatory nature of leprosy neuropathy perform a compressive action and limiting of the mobility of peripheral nerve, impacting negatively with part of the pathology of the disease. This work aimed to investigate the neural mobilization technique is able to improve the symptoms of leprosy neuropathy. Therefore developed a clinical study, longitudinal, non-randomized, self-control, with an experimental analysis of quantitative character, consisting of four different moments, evaluation, experimental intervention period and revaluation 1 and 2. Were examined 12 upper limbs of six patients with high poliquimioterapêutico scheme for multibacillary for clinical form Borderline, who had neurological neurological impairment and remaining neural symptoms. A total of 23 nerve trunks still were symptomatic during the evaluation, taking an average of 3.8 ± 1.8 per patient nerve trunks. Most incidents symptoms to palpation assessment were paresthesia (20) and pain (09). The average intensity of neuropathic pain of each MS was 6.33±3.24. It still has measured grip strength and the sensitivity of the palm side for comparison after the intervention. After 12 sessions of neural mobilization upper limbs there was a slight improvement of sensitivity and grip strength but it was not significant. At the end of the experimental treatment, the number of symptomatic nerve trunks of upper limb decreased significantly. It was also observed analgesia of all upper limbs treated, with maintenance of this benefit after a post-expiration month of the intervention period. With these results we can conclude that the treatment of neural mobilization proved to be effective in controlling leprosy neuropathic pain.

Concepção de criança na pós-modernidade

The article presents a synthetic perspective of the child’s conception, punctuating subjects related to the new-modernity and to the problem of the sexual violence inside the family, what is part of the bibliographical revision for the elaboration of the Master’s degree work in Psychology by the UFPA. The reflections are articulated through the point of view of Psychology and of occupational therapy, because the first is the base of our master’s degree paper and the second is our field of work. The new-modern thought values the singular and the idiosyncratic; so learning about the speech of the child shows us the importance of understanding what children think and feel about their infantile condition. The Psychology we based on offers for the analyses the concept of psychological nutrition, related to the offers the caretakers make of positive nutrition, which allows the child to grow in a creative and healthy way; besides this, occupational therapy presents the concept of expressive activities.

The state by the death of a sowanted person means that personal reorganization process facing the loss and so it tends to a single overturn. So the person may experience a variety of reactions the according to the occurrence and severity of the manifestation, they will influence in the uality of life. This study aimed to understand the expressions of the stating in the occupational activities at the time of the death of someone significant. The methodology was based in the qualitative approach of the “case study” kind of two people (cooperators) that arrived at a Prompt aid Service to Persons who Suffered Losses. For the data collection, three meeting were defined, being that on the two first ones, enterviews approaching aspects of the personal and occupational life and on the third a kind of workshop was made, being put available plastic materials, such as A4 paper, sheets color pencils, spherographics, scissors, magazines, white glue, color glue, purpurine within others, with the objective of favoring the free expression. The results show that the stating is expressed in occupational activities, being in accordance with the hypotheses that in situations of loss and stating, people experience a period of retaining that the loss significantly interferers in the daily tasks, including lack of pleasure to develop the jobs, and also in having personal care and in the daily activities (AVD’S), suggesting the occurrence of a occupational stating by the loss of the activities in charged with and to the dead so wanted person. In this sence, it can be observed alterations in the functions that the habitual standards are task of renouncing, excluding and including new roles. By other sides, the strategy for the data gathering, showed to be a favorable source to the compreenion and expression of the stated person, extimulating the acceptance of the loss and the evaluation of the linkings with the deceased person and the elaboration of the stating. The use of material source was favorable to the expression of thoughts, feelings and needs, as well as the competences, habilities, functions and other existential aspects, remarking the existence, the importance of biopsicossocial, importance of the person in stating situation, on wich we remark occupational therapeutic assistance aggregating efforts in preventing and promoting the health.

Hermenêutica gestáltica de uma violência sexual intrafamiliar

This article shows the results of a qualitative research of orientation phenomenological-existential gestalt, which aimed to reveal some meanings attributed to the sexual violence inside family. It was configured as a case study in which the informant , from 9 to 11 years, was victimized by her father. The data were obtained in ONG República of Emaús, contemplating reading of documents, informal reports, participant observation and interview. The analysis conjugated, whenever possible, the theory of the interpretation of Ricoeur, concepts of the Gestalt-therapy (contact, figure-bottom and psychological nutrition) and of the Occupational Therapy (areas, components and acting contexts). Units of significance agglutinated meanings of the speech, that revealed positive aspects such as revelation of the experience, expansion of some contact borders and presentation of the weight of the lived experience sometimes as illustration other as bottom and negative aspects: repercussions own-contact without functionality, in the contact with the other and in some acting areas.

Hermenêutica gestáltica do abuso sexual para uma adolescente

This qualitative research of orientation Phenomenology, existential gestalt, tries to reveal some meanings attributed to the phenomenon of the abuse sexual inside family, through a case study in that the informer, of the 9 to the 11 years, were been victim for the father and still today, in her existential field, she is influenced by the existence of that experience. The violence against the child, in their several modalities, is a problem of public health and of relationships between family and who takes care the child. In if treating of the sexual abuse, in that the aggressor is the responsible for the primary cares, usually, there is denial for the victim, aggressor and the family, and almost always, it happens, involving more than a violence modality. Same not having a consensus among the authors, it is puts in prominence the noxious effects of those events on the health psychic, occupational, physics and the victims' of the development. The data were collected in ONG Republica of Emaús including reading of documents, informal reports, participant observation and interview with the adolescent, being this last one, the main appreciation source. The analysis of the interview conjugated, insofar as possible, the theory of the interpretation of Ricoeur, some concepts of the gestalt-therapy as the one of contact, illustration-bottom, and psychological nutrition and of the Occupational Therapy, as areas, components and the performance contexts. Of the interview were created units of significance that orientated the reflections concerning the meanings of the adolescent's speech. Some results are: presentation of the weight of the existence of the sexual abuse some times as evidence sometimes as bottom; repercussions owncontact without functionality and contact with the other; in the own-image, selfesteem and in some acting areas: learning and socialization. The creative adjustment can be identified in the opening in revealing the experience, what suggests expansion of their contact borders. A conclusion that the study reach, was about the adolescent's relationship with the father that still, she stands out while an open gestalt.

Mão em garra: uma proposta de intervenção terapêutica ocupacional para hansenianos

Leprosy is an infectious disease, granulomatous, of slow progress, caused by Mycobacterium Leprae. The bacillus affects mainly peripheral nerves, causing face, hands and feet lesions, which can generate severe physical disabilities which contribute for installation of disabling and deforming patterns. The lesion of claw hand type is a sequel which can be observed in patients with lesions at the level of the upper limbs being very incapacitating, hindering the performance of activities of daily living of these individuals and consequently damaging quality of life and personal satisfaction. These lesions generate repercussions in the individual's context of life contributing to installation of alterations in psychoemotionall aspects, in addition of the stigma inherent to disease. The occupational therapy intervention using low cost assistive technology to assistance of activities of daily living in patients with claw hand objectives minimization of functional deficits presented while using functional adaptations used in performance of their daily activities as food, personal hygiene and clothing. The intervention was performed by applying an assessment protocol in occupational therapy known as the Canadian Occupational Performance Measure (COPM) which measures the degree of performance and satisfaction of the patient to perform activities of daily living. The protocol was applied initially with patients collecting data about performance of activities of daily living without the use of assistive technology resources. The application protocol was based on the definition of five problems common to all participants revealed very low levels of performance and satisfaction obtained during the performance of activities evaluated. Subsequently was performed the process of prescription, preparation and training of adaptations developed for each patient, adding to a total of one hundred twenty appliances (120) developed. Again applied the same protocol with the same patients addressing the same problems after conducting a training period of functional adaptations developed, comparing the data collected in the first and second COPM. Comparing the initial data presented, the data collected in the second evaluation of COPM showed a significantly increased level of patient's performance and satisfaction in addition to functional gain. It was concluded with this research that the proposed occupational therapy intervention using low cost assistive technology equipments (adaptations) is feasible, have satisfactory results and favor a great social reach due to cost reduction of developed devices.

Tecendo saberes: fenomenologia do tratamento da dependência química

This research looked for to know the work developed by the Center of Cares to Chemical Dependents – C.C.D.Q., located in the municipal district of Belem, state of Para, only public service in Brazil inside of the Unique system of Health destined to offer specific treatment for chemical dependence of alcohol and drugs in internment regime in long duration, following by attendance ambulatory. The shortage of researches in this area in the local context foments the importance of the discussion about the use of drugs and the existent treatment forms. This new treatment originating from the social demands of the municipal district, through data compiled by several researches, that took the state government to implement the center, it had for objective to respect the personal desires, to motivate the construction of a humanized atmosphere, ruled in the logic of the Psychiatric Reform, in what it concerns to the participation of the family and practices re - socialization. We examined some contributions of the gestalt-therapy, Psychology of base phenomenological – existential, it guides my research line and of the Occupational therapy, my area of performance, correlating them as sciences and interventions that dialogue in the field of the interdisciplinary, with purpose of the treatment of drugs. The collection of data happened through questionnaires with open subjects, answered by representative of the coordination of the center, of the team psychosocial and users of the service. The perspective phenomenological existential gestalt configured the theoretical foundation in the transport of that study, where we tried to collaborate with this investigation field, revealing some senses contained in the actors different speeches that work or are treated in the CCDQ and that they collaborated to configure this report. We observed to leave of those speeches, transformed in units of significance, that so much the work returned to the families, as the activities re - socialization are deficient, being also pointed the need of training of the team and the absence of support of the net of services of health among other subjects. For the specificity of the results, intending to contribute with the foundation of local strategies of preventive and therapeutic actions in drugs, besides making possible the knowledge that it has already been built in this field of performance, tends in view although new therapeutic actions can be built starting from the evaluation of the services already existent rendered the population, as well as to raise reflections on the politics, the actions and the human beings.
