Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) As organizações não governamentais e o programa cisternas em Barreira (CE)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-06) XAVIER, Victória de Sousa; KANIKADAN, Andrea Yumi SugishitaThis study aims to analyze the Cisterns Program, implemented in the rural region of the Barreira city (CE). The access to water is a topic frequently discussed in the community. In the region, water supply problems are diverse, especially for communities located far away from downtown. It intends to identify the extent to which the target population was benefited by the program, whose initiative belongs to two non-governmental organizations operating on the location, a national and an international ones. It was conducted a qualitative research, with bibliographic and documentary research techniques, in addition to the application of interviews to families attending the program. The survey results show that the program has brought improvements, such as ease and guarantee access to water supply, but it raises much deeper and more complex issues related to financial, gender, political and local development aspects.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Políticas de educação e terceiro setor: o papel do Itaú social na construção do pacto pela educação no Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-06) QUEIROZ, Luiz Miguel GalvãoThe article discusses the education and third sector policies delimited in the performance of the Instituto Itaú Social [Itaú Social Institute]in the Pacto pela Educação do Pará [Pact for the Education of Pará] The study elected the following research problem: Which nexus are established in the State’s action with Instituto Itaú Social in the unfolding of Basic Education policies for the state of Pará schools network? This work consists in a bibliographic study and field research. The relationship between the state and the third sector is defined by a legal apparatus that ensures its activities in the public space and the appropriation of funds in their actions.
