As the development of the electrical power market, the maintenance automation has become an intrinsic need to increase the overall economic efficiency of hydropower plants. This dissertation presents an assessment of the implementation of a predictive maintenance system of electrical machines (SIMME) on Balbina hydroelectric power plant in Amazonas, Brazil. The system was elaborated to predict defects, failures or bad operational states of machines of the hydroelectric plant and suggest maintenance intervention and operational emergency actions. The results show that the SIMME improved the economic performance of the hydropower plant.

The globalization of the Market as a whole causes impacts in all segments of the modern world, competitiveness among suppliers of products and services is the most relevante and generally what permeates it are the exponential advances in the áreas of technology and communication, without due follow-up in the force therefore, this study has as a premise to understand the impacto f this effect on the retail industry and the behavior of costs in the result, with investments in more modern equipment and strategic management of facility maintenance and people management, compare the efficiency and effectiveness of the before and afferwards, compare these results with other major retail centers.

Uma nova visão da manutenção produtiva total: método prático para aplicação em empresas de geração e transmissão de energia

Nowadays the Brazilian electricity sector is structured on the availability of power plants, substations and transmission lines. By applying the rules of the new model of the Brazilian electric sector, generation and transmission companies began to be subjected to mechanisms that penalize the unavailability caused by forced or scheduled shutdowns, of your assets. To avoid the application of these mechanisms, and other penalties, which cause great damage, it is necessary that the maintenance process ensures the availability and reliability of equipment and facilities. This paper proposes a method of production management, also directed to the elimination of the existing losses in generation and transmission of electric energy, adapted from TPM – Total Productive Maintenance. The development of the method is based on the study of the application of TPM in generation and transmission plants of Eletronorte. The proposed method should promote the management quality not only in operate and maintenance (O&M), but also in all process that can impact the availability of generation and transmission assets.
