    Efeitos do treino de cuidadores sobre comportamentos de apoio à adesão às orientações nutricionais por portadores de diabetes

    Health studies have pointed out that social support is one of the factors related to the adherence to diabetes patients treatment. Based on behavior analysis reference and especially on Goldiamonds constructional approach this study aimed to evaluate the effects of training procedure on caregivers support behavior offered to adult patients feeding behavior. Further, it was intended to analyze effects of this training on the patients adherence to dietary prescription. Taking part on this study were three women enrolled in a program for diabetes patients and one family member of each patient, amounting to three caregiver-patient dyads, two of which were allocated on a Training Condition (TC) and one, on a Non-Training Condition (NTC). As information sources, one used the verbal reports of the patients and of the caregivers, direct observation of behavioral interaction and clinical indicators. Using the subject as its own control, the intervention consisted on the training in contingency analysis and behavioral handling, accomplished in home visits by means of self monitoring records. The results showed that caregivers who took part on the Training Condition presented enlargement on the support behavior repertoire, which was not verified regarding the caregiver who took part on the Non-Training Condition. The glycemic levels reduction and the reports presented by the Training Condition patients suggest that the intervention has contributed to improvements on the adherence to nutritional orientations by theses patients.

    This study aimed to propose technical training activities that meets the basic needs of municipal civil servants Curuçá/PA, Inhangapi/PA and Terra Alta/PA, given the competitive scenario and requirement to which public organizations are immersed. Thus, the strategic management of people in public service, in particular the management of competence and training, was an important parameter which enabled glimpse the main aspects related to the training, development and education for this sector. Thus, the literature review was of fundamental importance, since it contributed to the elucidation of relevant concepts and categories to support this study and guided the field survey of 150 public servants in the municipalities mentioned, in order to identify their training needs technique to improve the provision of services available to citizens. The study identified, ultimately, that the reality experienced by these public sector workers is of concern and needs immediate intervention, which led to the development of generic skills, performance indicators and specific actions for each of the areas identified as vulnerable

    A utilização de gestos ostensivos no ensino de conceitos matemáticos : uma investigação à luz da filosofia de Wittgenstein

    In this research I investigate the use of ostensive gestures in the teaching of mathematical concepts. The justifications are based on the possibility of generating subsidies for an understanding of the explanation and understanding of these concepts, through discussions on the construction of the sense in this specific field of knowledge. The search is characterized as theoretical, but, in function of the theoretical reference, I use examples of teaching situations extracted from official curriculum guidelines, textbooks or simply situations formulated to illustrate the discussion, in order to clarify the region of investigation, which constitutes a methodology that has inspiration in Wittgensteinian philosophical therapy. The analysis was based on the philosophy of Ludwig Wittgenstein, for which ostensive gesture is a linguistic instrument that allows us to establish an internal connection between a word and the object to which we point. My analysis points out that the ostensive gesture can favor the understanding of mathematical concepts, insofar as it is configured as a means of presenting linguistic conventions, however, it can also cause misunderstandings when presented in an ambiguous way, which makes it difficult to have an adequate training for the students to master the technique associated with the constitution of the meaning of the concept in question.

    It is a consensus among the companies that work in the National Interconnected System (SIN), that there is an essential qualification of their employees, to avoid financial losses and mainly physical damages to those involved in operational activities. In the operational context of the SIN one of the most important processes in preventive and corrective maintenance for substation equipment of the the treatment of the insulating mineral oil. Insulating mineral oil has the role of raising the insulation of the active parts of high-voltage equipment, thus maintaining the Physical-Chemical conditions within the standards, becomes essential for the proper functioning of equipment that operates in high- voltage. The present work uses Virtual Reality techniques in the creation of a virtual training environment for the operation of term vacuum, which are machines responsible for the treatment in mineral insulating oil. The proposal of this work was to bring qualitative and quantitative gains to the process of training professionals who operate or operate such equipment, with a focus on those who are in the process of training in the formal educational institutions, more specifically for the use in disciplines, such as electrical machinery and other related ones.
