Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Direito de permanecer: turismo de base comunitária e desenvolvimento endógeno na Ilha de Marajó - Pará - Brasil(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-03-19) BOULHOSA, Marinete da Silva; FIGUEIREDO, Silvio José de Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2578700144404800; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-6810-1639This thesis analyzes community-based tourism on the island of Marajó, led by the coastal communities of Caju-una, Céu and Pesqueiro, in the municipality of Soure, which are part of the Soure Marine Extractive Reserve, in an attempt to understand how local communities are appropriating tourism. The objective is to understand how this way of developing tourism can contribute to the endogenous development and autonomy of these communities. To achieve this analysis and understanding, the following specific objectives are: identifying community tourism experiences on Marajó Island, as a collective social practice; analyze the forms of local organization for the development of community-based tourism, the agents and activities involved in the process; characterize the profiles of tourists/visitors and analyze the socialization processes of these tourist experiences and the connections with the tourist trade; and problematize public policies related to tourism on the Island. The analysis of communitybased tourism practices was based on the principles of endogenous development, which values local resources and the participation of communities in the development process, and post-development, which questions traditional notions of development, bringing centrality and resistance of the place. The research also considered the perspectives of decoloniality, buen vivir and ecosocioeconomy, which propose a non-Eurocentric and more holistic view of development, considering power relations and the worldviews of local communities. The research is of an applied nature, with a qualitative and quantitative approach, with exploratory, descriptive and explanatory objectives, and bibliographical research procedures, field research and action research. The research results pointed to the emergence of an embryonic process of tourism in Marajó that takes place based on local initiatives, which despite the problems and limitations it presents, have generated socioeconomic benefits for communities, in contrast to the exclusionary conventional tourism model that has been occurring for decades in Marajó. The results of the thesis will contribute to the understanding of communitybased tourism practices on the island of Marajó and to reflection on fairer and more democratic development alternatives, considering local specificities and the communities perspectives.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Em busca de novas metodologias para diagnósticos socioterritoriais e de turismo de base comunitária em RESEX(Universidade da Amazônia, 2014-10) MAGALHÃES, Ana Priscila; VASCONCELLOS SOBRINHO, MárioThe paper proposes a method to value the attractiveness of communities of Extractive Reserves for Community Based Tourism (TBC). The results obtained indicate that the practice of TBC is established as a constant in the communities studied in the TapajósArapiuns Resex and the Tapajós Flona, as well as that female action constitutes the driving force for its development and to think about the relationship of social actors with the management of natural resources and sustainability. The insertion of women in Tourism, especially of Amazonian women, are strategic and essential to break with prejudice and the devaluation of female work and to recognize that they are protagonists to make the activity feasible in contexts of protected areas. The focus on women can support reflections and research on tourist activity in its varied practices, as well as to think about sustainability in dealing with natural and social resources, and also in the sociocultural reproduction of the Amazonian population.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Turismo de base comunitária como indutor de desenvolvimento local: um estudo da realidade e potencialidades no distrito de Porto Salvo, município de Vigia de Nazaré-PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-08-31) DORES, Liliane Amanda Oliveira das; BASTOS, Rodolpho Zahluth; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0697476638482653; LOPES, Luis Otávio do Canto; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1013147545099173This study deals with community-based tourism and local development inductor, consisting in an analysis of the reality and potential in the Porto Salvo District, Vigia de Nazaré municipality. The practice of sustainable tourism uses natural and cultural heritage in order to encourage its conservation, encouraging the emergence of experiences that promote local development, in addition to offering new perspectives for development and promoting the well-being of the populations involved. The Conservation Units since their first conceptions have as their objective the public use focused on the practices of tourism, leisure and recreation, in order to use them as a tool for monitoring and protecting the biodiversity of such areas. It is noted that Community Based Tourism (TBC), a type of tourism management, which aims at community protagonism, in all processes of organization, elaboration and execution of tourist activity. In addition to conserving environmental resources, culture and the well-being of these local populations to the utmost. The lived experience implements an environmental awareness in its practitioners, in addition to exchanges of knowledge between community members and tourists. Given the above, the TBC could be an alternative vector for raising awareness of conservation and developing an ecological awareness, in addition to generating work and income and valuing local culture. Thus, this study aims to carry out an analysis on local development and its applicability in sustainable tourism - TBC, taking into account its applicability in protected areas. This dissertation had as main objective to analyze the possibility of Community Based Tourism (TBC) to be implanted in the Marine Extractive Reserve, having as object of study the communities: Boa Vista, Cachoeira and Sede Municipal. To carry out this research and to answer the questions raised, it was necessary to develop a theoretical-methodological framework that would enable us to understand the observations made in the field through a dialogue with the theory. Qualitative research was chosen based on descriptive, exploratory studies supported by data collection and institutional material, made available by the UC manager, in addition to the information obtained in the field research, with observation, interviews, oral narratives and through the SWOT Matrix and by the Falado Map, dynamics applied in the workshops, carried out in order to understand the daily life and social processes of the studied communities. Therefore, we seek to base the study on theories that deal with tourism, articulating with the notion of the use of territory, space and place as a social aspect. It was noted that community members believe that TBC is a medium with great potential for social transformation and as an alternative to nature conservation, social inclusion, in addition to being able to generate income for the locality. However, the same depends on the organization and collective will. In addition, it is necessary to manage the conservation unit to implement the management plan, so that the guidelines for public use have been defined.
