Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A formação continuada nos discursos de professores da educação superior: a experiência da UFPA e do CESUPA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2007-03-29) FERNANDES, Roseane do Socorro da Silva Reis; BERTOLO, Sônia de Jesus Nunes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7964798599222061This is a research developed in the field of the teacher's continuous formation and discusses about the meanings that the teachers which work in the superior education give to the continuous formation and it focalizes the opinions of the teachers that participate in the groups of formation in the Federal University of Pará (UFPa) and in the University Centre of the State of Pará (CESUPA). The empiric material produced based on the documental analysis and the interviews were analysed supported on the national and international bibliography which have a critical perspective about the teacher's work when the authors make a detailed exam about the teacher's profession. This study make reference to the comprehension about how the teachers faces the experience of formation in these two institutions, the effects that the models of the continuous teacher's formation have in their personal and professional development, emphasizing the senses and the interests announced by them. We have evidences that the teachers search for learning when they valorize the access to the formative courses, specially to the contents that can help them on their pedagogic practice. After this study, I could see that the continuous formation is a heterogeneous arena, not unified and have many purposes. We cannot give to the this formation a redemption ideia, imagining that with these courses the teachers will learn to make everything different and correctly, but as an intervention with a critical perspective about the pedagogic practices and that helps to re-construct permanently the personal and professional identity of the teachers in mutual interaction.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A formação de professores de química na UFPA: a história de um curso de graduação e sua evolução curricular(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2004-03-01) MACHADO, Jorge Ricardo Coutinho; CORDEIRO, Luiz Acácio Centeno; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3737752474189702This work is a study about the chemical teacher's formation course in UFPA, telling your story starting of your curricular designs in your 30 year of life and put this story in bigger context of building of the modern science. The study goes on analising, by specific literature, the politic pedagogical project recently approved in Colegiado of this course, with the objective of to detect possible advances and conclude, starting of the backgroud described by the history of the course and by present moment, answering the question: in according with the modern society demands, how to compose, today, a chemical teacher? The search methods used in this study was interviews, by semi-structured methods, and search in books and documents, with bigger emphasis in this last method.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A formação inicial de professores e a educação inclusiva: analisando as propostas de formação dos cursos de licenciatura da UFPA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2007-04-30) MESQUITA, Amélia Maria Araújo; ROCHA, Genylton Odilon Rêgo da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3735617515418666The objective of this study is to analyze new proposals in the formal preparation of teachers, developed by the education licensure programs at UFPA, Guamá campus. These proposals were created in the context of adherence to the educational policies of inclusion and their subsequent legislation, adopted by the Brazilian government. To accomplish this objective, I sought in official documents (looking specifically for theoretical references to inclusion and the formation of teachers) indicators that presented themselves as means to analyze the political educational projects in licensure programs which have been reformulated after, or contemporaneously with, the creation of the DCN for the formation of basic education teachers. The goal was also to discover indicators which could perceive whether or not these licensure programs adhered to the official prescriptions and orientation for dealing with question of diversity. 1) Achieving the requisite amount of topics in formal preparation; 2) the re-defining of pedagogic disciplines and; 3) the inclusion of content or disciplines related to the education of people with special educational needs in the curriculum of licensure programs were the indicators found within the educational policies that could be used as indices in the new proposals for preparing basic education teachers in the licensure programs at UFPA to work in inclusive schools. In the analysis of the projects, I identified that the seven programs studiedGeography, History, Letters, Chemistry, Biology, Math, and Physical Educationmet the first two prescriptions. However, in respect to the inclusion of people with special educational needs (NEE), the paths taken were different. Geography and Physical Education included teaching methods; Letters, Biology and History included some topics; while Math and Chemistry did not meet this requirement. Using these data I sought, using a semi-structured interview, to analyze the arguments made by the programs to justify their decisions. These interviews were conducted only with the Letters, Chemistry, and Physical Education programs. The interviews allowed me to discover that inclusion was not the impetus that oriented the curricular reformation process and, that despite finding methods and topics present in the majority of education programs, they have not redirected the formation process of teachers. The absent presence of inclusion in a large part of education programs at UFPA, demonstrates that the official policy at the university seems to be merely an attempt to meet the basic official requirements set by the Brazilian legislature.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A temática gênero nas produções provenientes dos grupos de pesquisa da Universidade Federal do Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2007-06-11) MAUÉS, Marilene Silva; CORRÊA, Paulo Sérgio de Almeida; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7102416953096612This paper aimed to carry out a mapping that would show the researchers scientific productions linked to groups of research in the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), it also aims to analyze how the gender theme gained evidence in researches carried out in the academic-scientific scenario of that institution, in the period of 1995-2006. Thus, the following questions had been raised: 1) What have they have been arguing about in the academic field, around the questions of gender? 2) How the scientific production generated in the data basis of research groups registered in the CNPq during the period of 1995-2006 is evidenced? 3) How the production generated by the researchers, in the research group is presented, taking into account the statistical figures in the UFPA campus in Belém? The data had been analyzed considering its quantity and quality by crossing the figures of scientific productivity - available in the site of the National Council of Scientific and Technological Development (http://www.cnpq.br) - with the theoretical references which delimitates the gender theme - Louro (2001) and Rosemberg (2001) -, aspects that allowed to make an x-ray of the production generated in the national scenario for posterior verticalization with the production research of the UFPA. Evidenced that great part of the research around the gender theme has approached allusive questions related to women and that those researches refute the explanations of biological basis in the composition of female and male, as well as they assume that culturally there is a relationship of power between opposite sexes. Moreover, the study showed that in the national panorama the genre found its place in the research group in the Human Sciences area; regarding to female participation in Science it was observed an androcentric parameter in the structure of scientific deeds, this aspect resounds in the quantitative process of academic productions of female authorship, considering that they still need to conciliate the professional career with the requirements of the private world; but, despite the male domain in the scientific productions, the studies on gender have been gaining praise in the research developed by women, not only in the national level but also in the local one. Regarding the figures of the UFPA, the gender have gained a place of prominence in the paraense production and these professionals have performed with care in that field showing a frequent production in a period of 11 years, even so they had to take on an incommensurable addition of work in consequence of the majority to be part of the teaching stuff of Post Graduation Programs in the UFPA. Thus, it is reassured that the research groups of the Institution mentioned here, even though with lesser quantitative expression in relation to the national scenario, they are of great relevance for the spread of the studies on this theme in the North region and for the projection of this university as an institutional place where the research produced guarantees national highlight.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Acessibilidade física e inclusão no ensino superior: um estudo de caso na Universidade Federal do Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-03-28) LIMEIRA, Carolline Septimio; ROCHA, Genylton Odilon Rêgo da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3735617515418666This research aims to study the physical accessibility in the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) by the years 2009 until 2013. In these terms, we did a case study to understand the context of that university as representing the access problem in higher education for people with disabilities. The purpose is to provide an analysis of physical accessibility conditions in the UFPA campus, according to the assessment of students with disabilities. Therefore, we looked for identifying how to distinguish a place with physical accessibility, through the view from the UFPA’s students with disabilities, as well as understand the implications in their academic life brought by the current physical accessibility conditions in the UFPA, and check the structural works that must be done to ensure the entry and stay of these students, according to their view. It is a qualitative research. Data was collected using semi-structured interviews with five students with disabilities from that university, a non-directive interview with the architect from the Department of Physical Structure (DIESF) of the UFPA’s prefecture, and documents reports and photos from the structural works already done in the campus. The data analysis was based within the content analysis method. Through the testimonies from the interviewees, we got that physical accessibility is not a universal concept; meanwhile, in a subject-environment comprehension, it is understood as access for all. We realize that accessibility in the campus is an essential step for knowledge sharing between the students. However, facing the physical structure’s barriers found in UFPA, the students suggest the sequel and expansion of the current structural accessibility works that are in course, while fostering researches about physical accessibility in higher education.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Água: um estudo sobre as representações sociais de alunos do ensino fundamental(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2009-08-19) IMBIRIBA, Teresa Elvina Florenzano; NAKAYAMA, Luiza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3771896759209007Since my academic career was based on a traditional way of teaching, in which I wasn’t stimulated to participate the classes, not showing my ideas and opinions, now as a teacher, I try to encourage my students to speak, enhancing their knowledge in the subject in focus and linking them to the information at school. Thus, guided by the idea of rescue/recover the knowledge that students perceive in their family and cultural environment, I drew this essay as a research about the social representations of water from 4th grade basic education students of the ‘Escola de Aplicação da Universidade Federal do Pará’, in the year of 2007. I have used the social representaion theory formulated by serge moscovici as theoretical and methodological support with the Central Core theory of Jean- Claude Abric. The methodology characterized by a qualitative and quantitative approach, had the techniques of data collection, the questionnaire, the free evocation from the word inducing water, supplemented by the interview. The research had as subjects 110 students from the 4th grade basic education, in the ages from nine to thirteen years old, in which 60 of those are girls. The result analysis revealed important aspects about the students and their answers and enabled me to identify that the content of the water’s social representation are associated to the following meanings and senses: 1) The water consumption in the every day habits of hygiene and food; 2) To the natural landscape, formed by water resources; 3) To the natural phenomena, as the rain and the tsunami; 4) To its values and importance as a source of life and health; 5) To the concrete attitudes and actions for the water treatment; 6) To the care and preservation of the natural water heritage; 7) To its symbolism: water as a worship, beauty and leisure object and 8) its characteristics. About the structure of the water’s social representation, the central core was constituted by the semantic categories: bath, drink, life, clean, river and rain and the peripheral system, by the categories: save, pollute, wash the food, waterfalls, make food, crystalline, entertainment, sea, peace, tsunami, useful, well and drop. The understanding of students answers about water, were essential to my thoughts about this subject and so now I can create new pedagogical practices based on the challenge of forming studentcitizens that recognize the need of using water in a sensible way as a finite resource which needs to be maintained and preserved.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A Análise de assunto no contexto museológico: aplicação do protocolo verbal individual nos museus da UFPA e MPEG(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-02-24) CARVALHO, Raul de Azevedo; REDIGOLO, Franciele Marques; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1678579864255236; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6277-2960Discusses subject analysis as a way of representing the essence of a document, making it possible to recover it within a system, consisting of the first and most important stage of the Indexing process. However, there is a lack of methodologies in the literature in the field of Museology for the practice of subject analysis in the context of museums, an aspect that influences the adequate retrieval of information in these spaces. This problem drove this research, whose objective is to map how the processes of subject analysis occur in the cataloging of museological objects, aiming to improve the strategies of dissemination and retrieval of information in museums. As specific objectives it has: a) To carry out a theoretical study on the representation of information in museums; b) Conduct a theoretical study on subject analysis in indexing and verify the subsidies for indexing in museums; c) Identify whether the process of subject analysis in indexing occurs in the practice of cataloging museological objects, through the application of the Individual Verbal Protocol. To achieve these objectives, it employs an exploratory research with qualitative analysis of the data collected using the technique of Individual Verbal Protocol applied to nine professionals from two institutions that have great performance in the Amazon context, the Federal University of Pará and the Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi. . As a result, it was possible to identify that the museum professional is unaware of the subject analysis process, which leads to inconsistencies in the user's information retrieval. In this context, suggestions are made for a model of documentary reading to help professionals in the process of analyzing the subject in the museological context. It concludes that subject analysis, as the first step towards indexing, needs to be well designed through the elaboration of norms and guidelines that need to consider the information needs of the user community that use the museum institution.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Análise de um modelo de dimensionamento da força de trabalho dos servidores técnico-administrativos da UFPA com ênfase na gestão por competência(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-06-28) ALMEIDA, Walquiria Corrêa de; COSTA, Thiago Dias; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1248194912228326Scale an organization's server framework is a task of the most significant area of human resources, however, difficult to implement, since account the work force may not be enough to put people trained in strategic locations or with specific profiles to meet organization's needs. From 2005, with the implementation of the Plan of Careers of technical and administrative positions of Education Federal Institutions, the staff dimensioning it became mandatory task for efficient management, for the preparation of the Technical Development Plan, approved in 2006 requires the adequacy of the server framework from a model of allocation of positions. In the same year of the Technical Career Plan the Federal Government launched the guidelines for implementation of the National Staff Development Policy federal government and brought to the public service, management by competence, whose purpose is to provide improved services to citizen, emphasizing the efficiency, effectiveness through the ongoing development of the server and the adequacy of their skills to the organization's objectives. Considering this context, the research in question had an exploratory nature to seek to discuss the integration of Management Skills with the subsystem staff dimensioning, and, if used the skills mapping to map the skills and delivery of crowded servers in Program graduate of UFPA, in order to qualitatively assist the design. Deliveries were also tested as quantitative variable for use in the calculation matrix. The quantitative results were obtained by means of descriptive statistics, raising the profile of the servers in relation to the link with the UFPA, education, length of service and hours of work. To calculate the matrix was used measures of central arithmetic average and median tendency to check the ideal framework server with the application of the data in a model already used by the UFPA to scale the technical and administrative staff. The work resulted in the mapping of competence and deliveries and staff dimensioning of the secretariats of graduate programsItem Acesso aberto (Open Access) Análise econômica de sistema de abastecimento de água público fechado: estudo de caso da Cidade Universitária Professor José da Silveira Netto - Belém (PA)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-05-18) SILVA, Adnilson Igor Martins da; DUARTE, André Augusto Azevedo Montenegro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1135221873341973The water supply is of paramount importance not only for human survival, but also for the development of economic activities and institutional, that is, to organic life / biotic and social life. Regarding the availability of this feature Brazil is a country with huge potential reserves to meet this end. The City University Professor José da Silveira Netto, the UFPA campus, currently produces its water, with funding through an underground aquifer, and in small quantities, also purchased from Local Dealership. However, in relation to production at the Federal University of Pará there is no knowledge about the maintenance costs of the production line, the hand labor involved, etc.. The lack of such knowledge does not allow the manager to act strategically with respect to this situation. This work aims to raise the direct and indirect costs of production of 1m³ of water treated at the City University Professor José da Silveira Netto, comparing it with the amounts charged by the Concessionaire site in order to show the manager what the most advantageous to the Administration with relation to the matter being addressed. Furthermore, future scenarios have been created in order that the activity is dynamic and growing university, beyond what was incorporated as conditions of energy cost and value of grants for water use, not yet integrated into the current cost of production. The results clearly demonstrate that the option of producing drinking water is the most economically advantageous for the institution, in any proposed scenario. Noting that the cost per m³ of produced water ranges from R$ 0,31 to R$ 0,45, while the purchase through the Local Dealership, around R$ 4,30 / m³ for the year 2011, only show viable if that price is a maximum of R$ 0,50 / m³. With this information and analyzes adequately presented clearly and technically considered, this work may be used as a management tool that will permit the public better or more adequate system of water supply in the City University Professor José da Silveira Netto.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Análise não paramétrica para identificação de fontes de distorções harmônicas em sistemas de energia elétrica: um estudo aplicado no campus universitário do Guamá da Universidade Federal do Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-02-19) MATOS, Edson Ortiz de; TOSTES, Maria Emília de Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4197618044519148; BEZERRA, Ubiratan Holanda; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6542769654042813Nowadays, the use of non-linear loads and power electronics-based equipment in residential, commercial and industrial facilities are contributing to the significant increase of current harmonic distortion levels and, consequently voltage harmonic distortions, as noted in the Brazilian distribution systems. Increasing levels of harmonic distortion in electrical distribution networks is a concern to electric utilities and customers, because the presence of these harmonic sources causes, among others, loss of quality in the energy supply. With a focus on this problem, this thesis proposes the development of non-parametric regression models to identify and quantify what non-linear loads can be considered main sources of voltage harmonic distortion at a point of interest in the electric network. The proposed methodology is based on data correlation analysis, using non-parametric regression statistical models to establish the correlation among the non-linear loads harmonic currents and harmonic voltage at a point of interest. This model is built from harmonic voltage and currents measurements, obtained in measuring campaigns using power quality analyzers installed at the points of interest. In addition, it should be pointed out that these harmonic voltages and currents must be express in base units, rather than percent values in relation to the fundamental component, in order to prevent the influence in the creation of the regression model. An important aspect in this methodology is the use of techniques based on Kernel local polynomial regression, for the estimation of the regression model between harmonic voltage and current. To validate the models it is introduced the determination coefficient R2, which can be obtained from the Pearson correlation coefficient, to measure the accuracy degree of the developed models. The non-parametric regression procedure provides a great flexibility in the estimation of regression models, since it makes possible to carry out a more effective model fit to the data samples, and therefore it is able to characterize the influence of each harmonic source in more detail for the entire measurement period. This technique presented more reliable results and overcomes the shortcomings of the linear regression model, which requires the harmonic currents of other sources, called background, not to vary when analyzing a particular load current. The linear and non-parametric regression models were simulated using the program R, which is a language and environment for statistical calculations and graphs, and as test system it was used the Federal University of Pará electric distribution network, consisting of 84 (84) load busbars in 13.8 kV. The results so obtained are compared to those obtained with the linear regression models, and presented good performance, allowing its application for electric power distribution companies.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O aprender e o orientar na atenção primária: relato de experiência de um semestre de atividades no PET-Saúde(2012-03) ARAÚJO, Fernando Costa; FALCON, Elias Bruno Santana; RODRIGUES, Gizele Moreira; FREITAS, Leidian Coelho de; DUTRA, Claudia Daniele Tavares; PIRES, Carla Andréa AvelarThe Educational Program for Health Work (PET-Saúde) promotes the formation of tutorial learning groups in strategic areas for the Unified National Health System. With the thus defined subject, the tensions of this academic ideal in its institutionalization in Brazil is examined, after that in the UFPA and Center of Education. The problem of research is express in three basic questionings: How was instituted the research in the Brazilian academic space and which its repercussions in the characterization of the teaching activity in this institution? How teaching and research dimensions are represented in official documents of the UFPA? How this relation happens in the particularity of the Center of Education? This problematic one consists from a philosophicalepistemological boarding where the concepts of practical, productive and theoretical rationality and of scientific and social institution had been the conducting wires. In an effort of description-conceptual understanding of the subject, the inquiry was leaned over on bibliographical sources and registers of qualitative character, but also of statistical information regarding the UFPA and Center of Education. To the set of selected sources if explanation applied procedures of literal analysis basically -, commentary and dissertation. It was possible to understand the specificity of the complexity and heterogeneity of the research of the knowledge and education notions that there were institute in the Brazilian university, the tensions instituted and the particularities that assume in the educational field. These conceptual elements also appear in the official documents that define the objectives and the structure of UFPA and Center of Education, still that the conditions of achievement of this instituted ideal only come if presenting in well recent years.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Assédio moral e assédio sexual: Investigação sobre as formas de violência laboral baseadas nas relações de poder(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017) FONSECA, Dielly Débora Farias; MATTOS, Carlos André Corrêa de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3337808570398709The organizational environment is composed of the multiplicity of ethical and moral principles of its members, in line with the precepts employed by the organization. Conflicts can arise through violence based on power relations, such as bullying and sexual harassment. This dissertation aims to analyze the perception of men and women regarding moral and sexual harassment in the workplace. The research attempted to identify the factors that characterize these forms of violence and to classify the subjects regarding the incidence of the phenomena. Additionally, measures that reduce moral and sexual harassment within the Federal University of Pará have been proposed. The literature review is based on the main research on the two forms of violence arising from the imbalance of power relations. The research is an exploratory and descriptive research, conducted in the form of field research, with questionnaires. The data were treated quantitatively with statistical techniques of exploratory factorial analysis, cluster analysis and regression analysis. The results revealed three groups: subjects who never lived or perceived physical and sexual harassment in the work environment, subjects who are in the initial phase of the harassment spiral and the third group that are in the final stages of the harassment process.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Atividade de ensino de ciências: representação de alunos do ensino fundamental - NPI/UFPA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2005) MIRANDA, Ailton Lima; MAGALHÃES, Luiz Marconi Fortes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6032076996211936This study analyses social representations within the teaching of sciences to eighth elementary grade students, both males and females, at the Núcleo Pedagógico Intregrado/NPI - Escola de Aplicação de Educação Básica da Universidade Federal do Pará-Brasil. (Pedagogical Integrated Nucleus School of application Federal University of Pará - Brasil), years 2003/2004; it examines contents shared among students and it points to contributions from social representations to the process of teaching/learning of education for the sciences. The main source for the study is the theory of social representations, by Serge Moscovici (1961). Moscovici defines his theory as the set of concepts, propositions and explanations derived from every-day life and interpersonal communications. In our own society they are like myths and belief systems among traditional populations, or they may stay as a contemporary version for common sense. Furthermore, this research develops from the theory of the central nucleus as its is proposed by Abric and associates (1994) from there on: all elements in a representation are hierarchically ordered; they stay around a central nucleus based in one or several elements which give meaning to the representation. In order to build this research, informations were obtained from 119 students as members of four class groups, in the year 2004. A previous survey accurred. Its main goal was to identify their social representations as an answer to the question: Which are social representations about the ways for teaching/learning sciences within eighth grade students?. From that device it was possible to asses images and meanings related to the teaching/learning of sciences; the perception of natural/social environment comes out as a relevant one. Besides that, the understanding of the relationship between members of the whole takes human beings as a linking element. Social Representations (images and meanings) as they are perceived, suggest a set of positive and negative reactions that may help to improve classroom activities. Findings point to the possibility to reshape practical ways for community school actors like students and teachers as well. The author hopes the results of this research may be relevant to the improvement of goals for science education.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Autoavaliação institucional: a realidade da CPA na prática do SINAES(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-01-10) FERREIRA, Alexandra; PONT VIDAL, Josep; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4415362518177732This research was directed due the knowledge needs around the work evaluation process in the internal federal Universities institutions. Such kind of work is being done since the 1990s decade, through various public policies translated into programs that could evaluate the education quality of the Universities due to the increased of University Institutions quantity, public and private. Considering such form, today the implementation of an evaluation process is not discussed anymore, instead is discussed the way it should be worked in the University institutions. The current policy directed to this issue is translated in the national evaluation of education system (SINAES), established by Law 10.861/2004, which became mandatory, among others, the institutional self-evaluation to be conducted by the internal committee Assessment (CPA), also with mandatory character inserted in the Art. 11º of SINAES law. This study is part of the questions around the CPA work. Mainly considering the way of their constitution, localization on the organizational structure and the CPA methodology that could influence in the final result, which is related to the institutional self-evaluation used by E-MEC system and by external review committees. The objective was to analyzes the CPAs of three Federal Universities institutions, chosen for their experience in the theme , regarding: The composition, directed to the quantity and their members category; The CPA localization in the organizational structure, in order to verify their autonomy level and the methodology used by CPAs in the conduction way of the evaluation process. It was assumed that such variables when applied in each institution, it could lead to ways of working and different results. For this reason it was opted for a study of a case, predominantly in qualitative research, using literature research, with authors of general systems theory and assessment; documental research and interviews along the presidents of CPAs institutions analyzed; Finalizing that although the results may be different in terms of quality of the reports, problems related to the autonomy, hierarchy and recognition of the CPA against other organs of the Universities management, the relationship assessment and planning and the establishment of a culture of evaluation, are observed in the three institutions studied.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Avaliação da eficácia do Programa Nacional de Assistência Estudantil (PNAES) na Universidade Federal do Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-04-13) MONTEIRO, Michele Elane de Sá; FERNANDES, Rosana Pereira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9953146275467028In the last twenty years, there has been an expansion in the number of enrollments in undergraduate courses at the Federal Institutions of Higher Education (IFES), resulting from the implementation of a set of affirmative actions inserted in the Brazilian educational context. Affirmative actions led to a change in the profile of students entering the IFES, who began to carry out actions to support the permanence of this new public in the institutions, these actions are defined as student assistance. This is the context in which this research is located, which has the general objective of evaluating the effectiveness of the National Student Assistance Program (PNAES) at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), taking the period from 2017 to 2021 as a cutout. The research presents in its theoretical framework discussions on the evaluation of public policies, student assistance and on the National Student Assistance Program within the scope of UFPA. With regard to methodological procedures, the research has an applied nature, with a qualitative approach, with exploratory - descriptive objectives, the case study was used as a research strategy. For data collection, a bibliographical and documental survey was carried out, semi-structured interviews with the five managers that make up the team that coordinates student assistance actions at UFPA, and questionnaires were applied to 48 students benefiting from the PNAES. The results of the research indicate that PNAES has been effective, the students assisted by the program have satisfactory academic performance, and data referring to retention or evasion was not identified among the students participating in the research. In addition, they indicate that although it has been identified within the scope of this research that the program has achieved the intended result, the UFPA institutionally does not carry out the evaluation of the program, with only occasional pedagogical evaluations. As a final product of the research, a draft proposal for monitoring and evaluating the PNAES at UFPA was proposed.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A Avaliação de desempenho dos servidores da UFPA: em busca de novas perspectivas a partir do processo de comunicação interna(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-03-09) ÁLVARES, Waldemar Henrique Viana; FIGUEIREDO, Silvio José de Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2578700144404800; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-6810-1639The current Brazil’s government has resumed the discourses that attribute to the public servers the inefficiency and burden of the treasury, in addition to sustaining deprecating predicates to the Federal Universities and to place the Performance Appraisal (PA) as an instrument of its management ideals. The PA is a fundamental process for organizations because it instrumentalizes actions and has a direct influence on careers. Despite this, the Universidade Federal do Pará (UFPA) registers disorders in this context, materialized in formal discrepancies that affect its strategic purpose. Considering that organizations and their processes are result of the communicative interaction between their components, this study aimed to analyze the role and the importance of internal communication in the PA of UFPA servers. The research is applied in its character, being descriptive from the perspective of its objectives and quantitative as to the approach method. The technical procedure for data collection was the field survey, with application of a questionnaire to the proportional stratified probabilistic sample, composed of Technical-Administrative in Education and Professors who exercise a managerial function, both categories were participants in the PA 2018 and work at the UFPA's Campus Belém. There are positive aspects, such as the high qualification of the servants, the considerable interest in feedbacks, the existence of modern communication channels, and the evidence of dialogue between the actors. However, there are signs of noises interfering with the flow of formal information about the appraisal process, since, to obtain it, most informants do not refer to the Administrative Unit that manages the process, besides unknowing the basic rules of the PA. In addition, the computerized system that receives the appraisals needs to be improved so that it can allow, mainly, the feedback and the availability of the appraisal results. The research concludes that communication still needs to assume its strategic role in the People Management area and that there is a need for dialogue between the actors that carry out the UFPA appraisal process, enabling continuous feedback both to improve individual measurements and to build, together, a process better suited to the needs of the public service.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Avaliação de estágio probatório por competências: Proposta de metodologia de diagnóstico de desempenho para os servidores Técnico – Administrativos em Educação da UFPA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-04-05) MIRANDA, Karla Andreza Duarte Pinheiro de; COSTA, Thiago Dias; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1248194912228326Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Avaliação formativa na Licenciatura de Espanhol: autoavaliação e autorregulação em foco(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-05-21) NEYRA, Patricia; CUNHA, Myriam Crestian Chaves da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0057919162522146This paper discusses an experience with formative assessment focused on self-assessment and self-regulation in language competences and learning strategies. The theoretical framework is based on authors like Allal (1986; 2007), Bonniol and Vial (2001), Perrenoud (2007), among others. For data analysis, it was noted how three students in the class dealt with the proposed formative activities during the course and it also was related their performance in the subject with their attitude regarding those activities. The results show that initially, the language competences were the most assessed and self-regulated objects by the students. However, as the learners were induced to think about other dimensions of foreign language learning, some of them began to include the metacognitive aspects in their self-assessments and self-regulations, which favored an improvement of their communicative language competence and their ability to learn. The formative activities that provided the most effective self-assessment and self-regulation were the self-assessment guideline, learning dairy, the development of communicative goals and assessment criteria, as well as situations involving self-assessment, co-assessment and mutual assessment practices.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Bibliotecário imagem social ou clichê: um estudo prático do marketing informacional do curso de Biblioteconomia/UFPA na Escola Brigadeiro Fontenelle(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015) OLIVEIRA, Alessandra Nunes de; CASTRO, Jetur Lima deIntroduces the practice of informational marketing as an object of study, to curb the stereotypes that exist about the image of the professional librarian.
