Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Repositórios institucionais e curadoria digital: um estudo em universidades federais da Região Norte do Brasil(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-02-28) BAÍA, Regiane Vanessa de Souza; Condurú, Marise Teles; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6085807397296909; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-4545-4199Study on digital curatorship inserted in the context of institutional repositories of Brazilian federal universities, which promotes the management of the digital object throughout its life cycle, with the general objective of contributing to the theme of digital curatorship in institutional repositories. For this, the specific objectives are: a) to investigate in the scientific literature about institutional repositories and digital curatorship; b) identify digital curation practices applied in institutional repositories; c) to reflect on the digital curatorship practices developed for the management of digital objects in the institutional repositories of federal universities in the North region and, observing the repositories of the North region. From this, as methodology, we adopted bibliographic, documentary and descriptive research, with a quantitative approach in data collection and qualitative in data analysis; it is characterized as a multiple case study, focusing on the digital curation practices used in the institutional repositories of Brazilian universities, based on the actions of the life cycle of the Digital Curation Centre. As a technique, extensive direct observation was used on the repository sites and as a data collection instrument, the questionnaire applied to the managers of the investigated repositories was used. As a result, it was observed that the institutional repositories of brazilian universities in the Northern region studied little use digital curation as a way to monitor the management of their digital objects, as well as the actions of the life cycle of the digital object. It is recommended to use this model as a form of improvement or others that can expand research on this theme. Finally, it was concluded that digital curation practices can be used in the institutional repositories of universities, in order to give more quality to the scientific information produced and that are made available through digital objects.
